Open Synod Meeting: “How Clergy Thrive” St Peter’s Church, Windsor St, Chertsey KT16 8AT (also via Zoom) Wednesday, 6 October, 7:15 for 7:30pm start The Venerable Paul Davies, our Archdeacon of Surrey, will be speaking to the topic. All are welcome to this open synod meeting and guests may leave during the refreshments break. Zoom details to follow nearer the date.

Come & Sing “Brahms: A German Requiem” St Mary's Church, Church Approach, Thorpe, Egham TW20 8TQ Saturday, 4 September, 10am – 4pm Registration 10am, Rehearsals 10:30am – 3pm, Performance approx. 3 – 4pm Sing with The Hythe Singers under the conductorship of Musical Director: Richard Harker. Sung in German (Novello / Edition Peters) – Scores available on request. £20 including light refreshments. Bring your own lunch (& score, if possible!) Tickets from thehythesingers.com or by phone on 07544 789272. Event is subject to Government COVID-19 guidance. The choir is also looking for more singers with experience of choral music. Winter Concert “Handel's Messiah” St Mary's Church, Church Approach, Thorpe, Egham TW20 8TQ Saturday, 4 December The Hythe Singers in concert under the conductorship of Musical Director: Richard Harker. Save the date - more details to follow. The Hythe Singers will also lead some carol singing at The Red Lion , Thorpe, in December.

Summer Lunch Project St Paul’s Church Addlestone, Tesco Addlestone, Longden Avenue off Strawberry Fields Now until 27 August, Mondays to Fridays, 12nn – 12:45pm Loaves & Fishes at St Paul’s Church are again running their free children’s lunches project during the summer holidays. The Project is supported by Tesco, Co-op, Waitrose, Warburtons and the Ginger Bread Man Bakery, with helpers from the local community. Free packed children’s lunches can be collected at the time and places above – please spread the message, especially to families who may be struggling financially this summer…

Hope Summer Café In the grounds of St John’s Church, Egham, TW20 9HL Wednesday, 4 August and Thursday, 5 August, 12:30 – 2:30pm To include activities for families, crafts, etc. This event will then be re-starting in September. Summer Festival St Mary’s Church & Churchyard, Church Approach, Thorpe, Egham TW20 8TQ Saturday, 28 August – Monday, 31 August Over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, the church will be open to view a Flower Festival with a “British History” theme. Covid safety measures may apply – please follow wardens’ instructions. Children’s activities and a variety of stalls and entertainments (all changing from day to day), BBQ and refreshments will be available in the churchyard. For programme details nearer the date and information on participating in the Flower Festival with an arrangement of your own please contact [email protected].

Valuation Day St John's Easter Centre, Manor Farm Lane, Egham, Surrey, TW20 9HR Saturday 25th September 10am-4pm Auctioneers will be available to give a valuation on items. Please bring along antique furniture, collectibles, jewellery, photographs and pictures. Donations requested and there are options to sell items with auctioneers.
