IMPROVING MENTAL HEALTH IN RUNNYMEDE Launch into new area starts well Having played a key role in facilitating the emergence and development of a large number of thriving mental health services and self-help groups in Woking, CornerHouse have recently been commissioned by County Council to undertake a similar project in Runnymede Borough.

A Review of Adult Mental Health Day Services in West Surrey by Surrey County Council identified the CornerHouse model as a cost-effective and efficient way in which to provide future day services in Runnymede, an area identified in the same report as lacking the level of provision seen elsewhere.

CornerHouse have established an office base at Runnymede Association of Voluntary Services in and expanded their Next Steps Depression Support Service into Runnymede as well as establishing depression support groups in both and Addlestone (See page 2).
