The Campaign for Anatolia College’s next century

We are raising funds for three critical areas that will transform Anatolia College for its next century. With your help, we can achieve the change we want to see in the world. 1. We are made of openness The Student Access and Success Project will: • Endow scholarships for elementary, high school, and college students to respond to the increasing need created by the economic crisis. • Establish an endowed scholarship fund for the Center for Talented Youth (CTY) to continue Anatolia College’s support for gifted Greek youth who benefit from this enrichment program. • Construct a multi-purpose Student Center at the American College of Thessaloniki to serve as the heart of ACT, to cultivate community spirit and to amplify student success.

2. We are made of knowledge The Academic Excellence Project will: • Establish an endowed fund for faculty development to provide Anatolia College teachers with new, innovative learning opportunities using the latest in technology. • Further develop the Innovation Isle (STEM), which includes a fabrication lab and a green chemistry lab, part of our Center for Green Education, a world first at a high school level. • Create more flexible learning spaces that promote new and innovative pedagogical approaches and methods. • Upgrade library and infrastructure programs, improve technology provisions, enhance collections and preserve historical archives.

3. We are made of inspiration Campus enhancements and innovations serve to further accommodate our shifting learning paradigm and new educational model. Investing in new infrastructure and technology (in new spaces, classrooms and labs, etc.) allows education to inspire and gives room for students to grow beyond their potential. The Campus Enhancements Project will: • Build a new, unified Elementary School campus with modern state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to replace aging, outdated buildings. • Upgrade and expand facilities for the International Baccalaureate Program to support growth in this academically challenging and rigorous curriculum. • Improve outdated classrooms and laboratories at our century-old high school. • Introduce environmentally friendly systems to improve energy efficiency and Anatolia College’s carbon footprint.

Chip Elfner, Chair of Board of Trustees Anatolia College.

“The Stavros Niarchos Foundation funds organizations and projects worldwide that aim to achieve a broad, lasting and positive impact for society at large. These organizations and projects should of course exhibit strong leadership and sound management. Anatolia College does exhibit just these characteristics. This is a crucial reason why we decided to move forward with the establishment of the CTY-Greece at Anatolia College”.

Panos Papoulias, Deputy Director of Programs & Strategic Initiatives, Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

“INTRASOFT, Anatolia and CTY share a common passion: the pursuit and nurture of excellence. Dr. Peter Kalantzis, President of the Executive Board, John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. “Anatolia has been a beacon of educational excellence throughout its history and it is no surprise that it was Anatolia that raised the exemplar initiative of hosting CTY-Greece, with the support of the Johns Hopkins University and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. I have had the chance to get to know all CTY’s initiatives for pupils and teachers and all I can say is that I am impressed, awed and moved from the level of their commitment, excellence and compassion”.
