Foreword

As part of the Government’s strong commitment to early years services, the Department of Human Services in the Southern Metropolitan Region funds and provides a range of early childhood intervention services. These services assist families with children from birth to school entry who have a disability or developmental delay. For the first time, this directory brings together information on every specialist therapy, education and support service available in the region. This is the information families will need to make decisions about the support their child or children may require. To keep this directory up-to-date, we will reprint it periodically. You are encouraged to give us your feedback, so that future editions can be expanded, updated and improved. We would like to acknowledge and thank the many services and families who have contributed to the development of this directory. Their input has been crucial in ensuring that the directory is an accessible and valuable resource for families.
