Applications & Admissions
There is 1 English-speaking chiropractic college in Canada: Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Each year the CMCC accepts 192 students 4 year Doctor of Chiropractic Degree program Applications are completed through the website at: www.cmcc.ca
Requirements:
At least three full years of undergraduate study (15 full year courses or 90 credit hours) CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale Admission is based on academic assessment and a personal interview o Interviews are granted to candidates who meet the minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale NOT MANDATORY, but recommended that students complete one full course, with labs, in organic chemistry and biology; one half course in introductory psychology; and at least one half courses in humanities and/or social sciences
**Completing Chiropractic College does not provide you with the license to practice. It is necessary to meet the requirements of each provincial regulatory body in order to receive your certificates of registration. Regulatory boards such as the College of Chiropractors of Ontario will generally require: letters of reference, passing the CCO legislation and ethics examination, criminal screening, and an interview.
Ontario License Requirements
After successfully graduating from the CMCC, individuals wishing to seek licensing within Ontario must meet certain requirements within 2 years of graduation.
All chiropractors in Ontario must be members of CCO To be considered for registration, must apply to the CCO, as well as complete 4 examinations
Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board (CCEB) examinations consist of 3 different component exams:
Component A – Chiropractic Knowledge Component B – Clinical Decision Making and Diagnostic Imaging Component C – Clinical Skill Evaluation
*Note that there is a limit of 4 attempts on each exam
