Along the way on this 7-night, 8-day road trip, camp in scenic state parks and venture into the otherworldly landscape of the windswept Black Hills at Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Step back in time to the Wild West in Deadwood, see bison roam free in Custer State Park, and enjoy the lively former frontier town of Cheyenne. ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Day 1 Pick up your RV in the Denver area. After your orientation, drive to Guernsey, Wyoming, where you will stay the night at Guernsey State Park at a campground in your RV.

Day 2 Pack up camp and head towards Custer State Park in South Dakota where you will spend the next three nights. Overnight in Custer State Park.

Day 3 Enjoy your first full day in the Black Hills! Explore Mount Rushmore and take a quick drive over to Crazy Horse Memorial. Overnight in Custer State Park.

Day 4 Today is a good day to explore all that Custer State Park has to offer. Take Wildlife Loop Road where the buffalo roam or opt for a Buffalo Safari Jeep Tour. Overnight in Custer State Park.

Day 5 For your final day in the Black Hills, consider taking a day trip to the otherworldly Badlands National Park, explore the caves of Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monument, or visit some of the popular towns of South Dakota, like Hot Springs, Deadwood, or Rapid City. Overnight in Custer State Park.

Day 6 Depart the Black Hills and head towards Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming. Enjoy one of the many hiking trails or just take in the views. Overnight near Devils Tower National Monument. Day 7 Pack up camp and drive to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Home to the infamous Cheyenne Frontier Days, enjoy the downtown scene with quaint shops and restaurants. Overnight in Cheyenne.

Day 8 Pack up camp for the last time and begin the drive to Denver where you will drop off your RV.
