Dear readers: After the ‘creative break’ we are renewing our publication in the printed form. The crisis makes changes, sometimes even fundamental, in out life. Our editorial office wasn’t an exception here, and that requires no explanations for we all live in the same economic environment. ‘It’s like a public game on the chessboard where everybody knows position of pieces and one can think about a large number of winning moves. But one could not imagine that the board could simply be knocked over together with the pieces without letting you restore the disrupted combination, and the game could be recommenced only by starting from the very beginning or accepting a forced combination of pieces under the threat of knocking over the chessboard again.’ I hope that everything that happens is for the better, and life experience suggests that paper is our natural resource which cannot be wasted for nothing. Gloss becomes an elite product. Touching the glossy pages will be available only to those who really want it and enjoy this pastime. I sincerely thank our subscribers for supporting us – all of you who subscribed to our publication during interruption in the release of printed issues. I appreciate that more than everything else. You will receive all issues of our magazine according to your subscription. And also, I myself would like to thank and propose you to sincerely thank the ‘enemies’ for helping us become stronger and wiser and for ‘remaining ourselves in every choice’. Hunt Assistant Professor of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management Fuyuan Shen Associate Professor of Advertising and Public Relations *Signatures are on file in the Graduate School iii ABSTRACT The fields of tourism and migration have been uneasy companions despite the fact that both study the two largest patterns of human movement across geographical areas. A recent emergence of the mobilities paradigm created potential for bridging the two knowledge networks and providing opportunities for crossover and mutual enrichment. Engaging with the intersection of tourism and migration mobilities, this study has a dual purpose. Theoretically it explores diaspora tourism as a promising link between tourism and migration. Practically diaspora tourism is offered as a coping strategy that can be used by immigrants to alleviate stress associated with relocation to a culturally dissimilar society. In this dissertation three aspects of diaspora tourism are explored as they pertain to the fourth wave of Ukrainian immigrants in the United States. The first aspect concerns identity formation and adjustment issues Ukrainian immigrants experience upon arrival to the United States, and how these issues affect their relationship with and desire to visit Ukraine.

THE STATE OF ARTISTIC FREEDOM 2018 FREEMUSE THE STATE OF ARTISTIC FREEDOM 2018 1 Freemuse is an independent international organisation advocating for and defending freedom of artistic expression. We believe that at the heart of violations of artistic freedom is the effort to silence opposing or less preferred views and values by those in power – politically, religiously or societally – mostly due to fear of their transformative effect. With this assumption, we can address root causes rather than just symptoms – if we hold violators accountable. Our approach to artistic freedom is human rights-based as it provides an international legal framework and lays out the principles of accountability, equality and non-discrimination, and participation. ©2018 Freemuse. Tsunami 6 Months After Foreword At the end of December 2004, Plan joined people from neighbouring communities, local governmental and voluntary organisations, and the international community to respond to the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. It seems appropriate now both to reflect on what has happened since the tsunami struck, and to look at the work in the months and years ahead. The tsunami was an unprecedented disaster, both in terms of its impact and in the scale of local and international responses. Given this, what has Plan been able to achieve or not achieve over the past six months? How did Plan work with people in their struggle to reclaim their normal lives? What children’s issues were we in Plan able to address, and what issues remain? Outsiders tend to see the victims and survivors of disasters as a homogeneous group. In fact, there are as many stories as there are people.

Its motto was “For service and courage”. The Order of St. George was distinguished by its statute among other Russian orders as a reward for personal valour in battle, and the merits for which an officer could be awarded a prize were strictly regulated by the statute: "Neither the high breed, nor the wounds received before the enemy, give the right to be granted this order: but this is given to those who not only corrected their position in everything by oath, honour and duty, but also distinguished themselves by their special what a courageous act, or the wise, and for Our military service, gave useful advice ... This order should never be removed: for it is acquired through merit". The Order had four degrees: 1st degree. The order's badge is a white enamel cross with widening ends and a gold border along the edges. In the middle of the cross, on the medallion, there is the image of the Moscow coat of arms. On the reverse side of the medallion there is a monogram of the saint: "SG". It was weared on a ribbon from should to hip.
