Los Angeles ctress Mary Elizabeth Winstead has been roped in as the lead actress in “Gemini Man”, opposite actor Will Smith. AThe action thriller, directed by Ang Lee, will go on floors next month, reports hollywoodreporter.com. The film sees Smith playing two opposing roles: one of Henry, an aging assassin who wants to get out of the business, and that of his ultimate opponent, a clone who is 25 years younger and at the peak of his abilities that has been tasked to kill him. Winstead will play an operative who works for the same company as Henry and has been ordered to keep a watch on him. However, she soon teams up with him. Clive Owen is in talks to play one of the villains of the movie, the head of the cloning programme. (IANS)

Los Angeles ollywood star Penelope Cruz says she felt a “responsibility” playing Italian fashion designerH Donatella Versace in the series “The Assassination of Gianni Versace”. The Academy Awards winner’s comment comes just days after the designer expressed her distaste for the new Ryan Murphy series in an interview with Italian press last week, reports dailymail.co.uk. During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Cruz said: “You feel much more responsibility (playing a real person). When Ryan called me... I said ‘I need to make (a) phone call and talk to Donatella about this Jason Segel before taking the job’.” Cruz, 43, only felt January 18, 1980 comfortable with the role after speaking to Donatella herself. Known for his comedic roles on CBS’s How I Met Your (IANS) Mother and NBC’s Freaks and Geeks. He’s played memorable roles in such films as Knocked Up, The Five-Year Engagement and 2011’s The Muppets.
