By: Engr. Sia Mal Kong, Grad. IEM. Lu Lian Chiong

Abstract This article attempts to quantify, using scientific tools, the extent of influence of principles on prospective purchaser’s decision in buying house. Architectural and environmental principles are compared with feng shui principles. The factors to consider when buying a house are explained, and the uses of feng shui are outlined. Favourable (auspicious) and unfavourable (inauspicious) features of feng shui for houses are identified through literature review. Microsoft EXCEL is used to analyse the data collected and obtain other statistics.
