First Portion Numbers Chapter 25

י ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses, saying .10

יא ִֽפּ ְינ ָ֨חס ֶבּ ֶן־א ְל ָﬠ ָ֜זר ֶבּ ַ ֽן־א ֲה ֣רֹן ַהכֹּ ֵ֗הן ֵה ִ ֤שׁיב Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen .11 has turned My anger away from the children of Israel by his ֶאת ֲ־ח ָמ ִ ֙תי ֵמ ַ ֣ﬠל ְבֵּ ֽני־ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ְבּ ַק ְנ ֥אוֹ ֶאת ִ־ק ְנ ָא ִ ֖תי ְבּתוֹ ָ ֑כם ְו ֽל ֹא ִ־כ ִ֥לּי ִתי ֶאת־ ְבֵּ ֽני־ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֖אל ְבּ ִק ְנ ָא ִֽתי: zealously avenging Me among them, so that I did not destroy the children of Israel because of My zeal.

יב ָל ֵ ֖כן ֱא ֑ ֹמר ִֽה ְנ ִ֨ני ֹנ ֵ ֥תן ֛לוֹ ֶאת־ ְבִּרי ִ ֖תי ָשׁ ֽלוֹם: .Therefore, say, "I hereby give him My covenant of peace .12

יג ְו ָ ֤הְי ָתה ֙לּוֹ ְוּל ַזְר ֣ﬠוֹ ַ ֽא ֲחָ ֔ריו ְבִּ ֖רית ְכּ ֻהַ ֣נּת ָ ֑עוֹלם It shall be for him and for his descendants after him [as] an .13 ַ֗תּ ַחת ֲא ֶ ֤שׁר ִק ֵנּ ֙א ֵ ֽלא ָ֔היו ַו ְי ַכ ֵ ֖פּר ַﬠל־ ְבֵּ ֥ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֽאל: eternal covenant of kehunah, because he was zealous for his God and atoned for the children of Israel."

יד ְו ֵשׁ ֩ם ִ֨אישׁ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֜אל ַה ֻמּ ֶ֗כּה ֲא ֶ ֤שׁר ֻה ָכּ ֙ה The name of the Israelite man who was killed, who was .14 ֶאת ַ־ה ִמּ ְד ָי ִ֔נית ִז ְמִ ֖רי ֶבּ ָן־ס ֑לוּא ְנ ִ֥שׂיא ֵ ֽבית ָ ֖־אב slain with the Midianite woman was Zimri the son of Salu, the ַל ִשּׁ ְמעִֹֽני: .chieftain of the Simeonite paternal house

טו ְו ֵ֨שׁם ָ ֽה ִא ָ ֧שּׁה ַה ֻמּ ָ ֛כּה ַה ִמּ ְד ָיִ ֖נית ָכּ ְז ִ ֣בּי ַבת־ ֑צוּר And the name of the Midianite woman who was slain was .15 ֣ר ֹאשׁ ֻא ֥מּוֹת ֵ ֽבּית ָ ֛־אב ְבּ ִמ ְדָ ֖י ן ֽהוּא: Cozbi the daughter of Zur, a national leader of a paternal house in Midian.

טז ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses saying .16

יז ָצ ֖רוֹר ֶאת ַ־ה ִמּ ְד ָיִ ֑נים ְו ִה ִכּי ֶ ֖תם ָ ֽאוֹתם: .Distress the Midianites, and you shall smite them .17

יח ִ ֣כּי ֽצְֹרִ֥רים ֵה ֙ם ָל ֶ֔כם ְבּ ִנ ְכ ֵל ֶ ֛יהם ֲא ֶשׁ ִר־נ ְכּ ֥לוּ ָל ֶ ֖כם For they distress you with their plots which they contrived .18 ַﬠ ְל־דּ ַ ֣בר ְפּ ֑ﬠוֹר ְו ַﬠ ְל־דּ ַ֞בר ָכּ ְז ִ֨בּי ַבת ְ־נ ִ ֤שׂיא ִמ ְד ָ֙ין against you in the incident of Peor and in the incident of Cozbi

Numbers Chapter 26 א ַו ְי ִ ֖הי ַ ֽא ֲחֵ ֣רי ַה ַמּ ֵגּ ָ ֑פה פ באמצע פסוק ַו ֤יּ ֹ ֶאמר It was after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and to .1

ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ֶאל־מ ֶ֔שׁה ְו ֶ ֧אל ֶא ְל ָﬠָ ֛זר ֶבּ ַ ֽן־א ֲה ֥רֹן ַהכֹּ ֵ ֖הן ֵל ֽ ֹאמר: :Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen, saying

ב ְשׂ ֞אוּ ֶאת ֣־ר ֹאשׁ | ָכּל־ ֲﬠ ַ ֣דת ְבֵּ ֽני־ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֗אל ִמ ֶ֨בּן Take a census of all the congregation of the children of .2 ֶﬠ ְשִׂ֥רים ָשָׁ ֛נה ָו ַ ֖מ ְﬠ ָלה ְל ֵ ֣בית ֲאבֹ ָ ֑תם ָכּל־יֹ ֵ ֥צא ָצ ָ ֖בא Israel from twenty years old and upwards, following their ְבִּי ְשָׂר ֵ ֽאל: .fathers' houses, all that are fit to go out to war in Israel

ג ַו ְי ַד ֵ֨בּר מ ֶ֜שׁה ְו ֶא ְל ָﬠָ ֧זר ַהכֹּ ֵ ֛הן ֹא ָ ֖תם ְבּ ַﬠְר ֣בֹת ָ ֑מוֹאב Moses and Eleazar the kohen spoke with them in the plains .3

ַﬠל־ ַיְר ֵ ֥דּן ְיֵר ֖חוֹ ֵל ֽ ֹאמר: :of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying

ד ִמ ֶ ֛בּן ֶﬠ ְשִׂ֥רים ָשָׁ ֖נה ָו ָ ֑מ ְﬠ ָלה ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶשׁ ֩ר ִצָ֨וּה ְי ָ ֤הוֹה From the age of twenty and upward, as the Lord" .4 ֶאת־מ ֶשׁ ֙ה וּ ְבֵ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ַהֽיֹּ ְצ ִ ֖אים ֵמ ֶ ֥אֶרץ ִמ ְצָ ֽר ִים: commanded Moses and the children of Israel who had come out of Egypt."

Second Portion Numbers Chapter 26 ה ְראוּ ֵ ֖בן ְבּ ֣כוֹר ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֑אל ְבֵּ ֣ני ְראוּ ֵ֗בן ֲח ֙נוֹ ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֣פּ ַחת Reuben, Israel's firstborn: The descendants of Reuben .5 ַ ֽה ֲח ֹנ ִ֔כי ְל ַפ ֕לּוּא ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ַפּ ֻלּ ִֽאי: were: the family of the Hanochites from Hanoch; the family of the Paluites from Palu,

ו ְל ֶח ְצ ֕רֹן ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַ ֽה ֶח ְצ ִ ֑רוֹני ְל ַכְר ִ֕מי ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת the family of the Hezronites from Hezron, and the family of .6

ַה ַכְּר ִֽמי: .the Carmites from Carmi

ז ֵ ֖א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֣חֹת ָהֽראוּ ֵבִ ֑ני ַוִֽיּ ְה֣יוּ ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ֗יהם ְשׁ ָ ֤לשׁה These were the families of the Reubenites, and they .7

ְו ַאְר ָבּ ִﬠי ֙ם ֶ֔א ֶלף ְוּשׁ ַ ֥בע ֵמ ֖אוֹת ְוּשׁ ִֽלשׁים: .numbered forty three thousand, seven hundred and thirty

ח וּ ְבֵ ֥ני ַפ ֖לּוּא ֱא ִל ָ ֽיאב: .The sons of Palu were Eliab .8

ט וּ ְבֵ ֣ני ֱא ִל ָ֔יאב ְנ ֵ ֖מוּאל ְו ָד ָ ֣תן ַ ֽו ֲא ִב ָ ֑ירם ֽהוּא ָ־ד ָ֨תן The sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram they .9 ַ ֽו ֲא ִב ָ ֜ירם ְקִר ֵ ֣יאי (כתיב קרואי) ָ ֽה ֵﬠ ָ֗דה ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ִה ֜צּוּ are Dathan and Abiram, the chosen of the congregation who

ַﬠל־מ ֶ ֤שׁה ְו ַﬠ ַ ֽל־א ֲה ֙רֹן ַ ֽבּ ֲﬠ ַדת ֔־קַֹרח ְבּ ַהצֹּ ָ ֖תם ,incited against Moses and Aaron in the assembly of Korah when they incited against the Lord. ַﬠל־ ְי ָ ֽהוֹה:

י ַו ִתּ ְפ ַ֨תּח ָה ָ֜אֶרץ ֶאת ִ֗־פּ ָיה ַו ִתּ ְב ַ ֥לע ֹא ָ ֛תם ְו ֶאת ֖־קַֹרח And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and .10 ְבּ ֣מוֹת ָ ֽה ֵﬠ ָ ֑דה ַ ֽבּ ֲא ֣כֹל ָה ֵ֗אשׁ ֵ ֣את ֲח ִמ ִ ֤שּׁים וּ ָמ ַ֨אתִי ֙ם Korah, when that assembly died, and when fire destroyed two ִ֔אישׁ ַוִֽיּ ְה֖יוּ ְלֵ ֽנס: .hundred and fifty men, and they became a sign

יב ְבֵּ ֣ני ִשׁ ְמ ֘עוֹן ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָחֹת ֒ם ִל ְנ ֵ֗מוּאל ִמ ְשׁ ַ֨פּ ַח ֙ת :The descendants of Simeon according to their families .12 ַה ְנּ ֣מ ֵוּא ִ֔לי ְל ָי ִ֕מין ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַהָ ֽיּ ִמ ִ ֑יני ְל ָי ִ֕כין ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת the family of the Nemuelites from Nemuel, the family of the ַהָ ֽיּ ִכ ִֽיני: ,Jaminites from Jamin, the family of the Jachinites from Jachin

יג ְל ֶ֕זַרח ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ַזְּר ִ ֑חי ְל ָשׁ ֕אוּל ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת the family of the Zerahites from Zerah, the family of the .13

ַה ָ ֽשּׁ ִֽאוּלי: .Shaulites from Shaul

יד ֵ ֖א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֣חֹת ַה ִשּׁ ְמעִֹ ֑ני ְשַׁ ֧נ ִ ים ְו ֶﬠ ְשִׂ ֛רים ֶ ֖א ֶלף These were the families of the Simeonites twenty two .14

וּ ָמ ָ ֽאתִים: .thousand and two hundred

טו ְבֵּ ֣ני ָג ֘ד ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָחֹת ֒ם ִל ְצ ֗פוֹן ִמ ְשׁ ַ֨פּ ַח ֙ת ַה ְצּ ִ֔פוֹני The descendants of Gad according to their families: the .15 ְל ַח ִ֕גּי ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַ ֽה ַחִ ֑גּי ְל ִ֕שׁוּני ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ִֽשּׁוּני: family of the Zefonites from Zefon, the family of the Haggites from Haggi, the family of the Shunites from Shuni,

טז ְל ָאְז ִ֕ני ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ָ ֽה ָאְזִ ֑ני ְל ֵﬠִ ֕רי ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ָ ֽה ֵﬠִֽרי: the family of the Oznites from Ozni, the family of the Erites .16 from Eri,

יז ַ ֽל ֲא ֕רוֹד ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ָ ֽה ֲא ִ ֑רוֹדי ְל ַ֨אְר ֵא ִ֔לי ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת the family of the Arodites from Arod, the family of the .17

ָ ֽה ַאְר ֵא ִֽלי: .Arelites from Areli

יח ֵ ֛א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֥חֹת ְבּ ֵנ ָ ֖י־גד ִל ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֑יהם ַאְר ָבּ ִ֥ﬠים ֶ ֖א ֶלף These were families of Gad according to those of them .18

ַ ֽו ֲח ֵ ֥משׁ ֵמ ֽאוֹת: .counted, forty thousand and five hundred

יט ְבֵּ ֥ני ְי ָ ֖הוּדה ֵ ֣ﬠר ְו ָ ֑אוֹנ ן ַוָ ֥יּ ָמת ֵ ֛ﬠר ְו ָ ֖אוֹנ ן ְבּ ֶ ֥אֶרץ The sons of Judah were Er and Onan, but Er and Onan .19

ְכָּ ֽנ ַﬠן: .died in the land of Canaan

כ ַוִֽיּ ְה֣יוּ ְבֵ ֽני־ ְי ָהוּד ֘ה ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָחֹת ֒ם ְל ֵשׁ ָ֗לה ִמ ְשׁ ַ֨פּ ַח ֙ת The descendants of Judah according to their families: the .20 ַה ֵ ֣שּׁ ָל ִ֔ני ְל ֶ֕פֶרץ ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ַפְּר ִ ֑צי ְל ֶ֕זַרח ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת family of the Shelanites from Shelah, the family of the ַה ַזְּר ִֽחי: .Perezites from Perez, the family of the Zerahites from Zerah

כא ַוִֽיּ ְה֣יוּ ְב ֵנ ֶ֔י־פֶרץ ְל ֶח ְצ ֕רֹן ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַ ֽה ֶח ְצרִֹ ֑ני The descendants of Perez were: the family of the .21 ְל ָח ֕מוּל ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ֶה ָ ֽח ִֽמוּלי: Hezronites from Hezron, the family of the Hamulites from Hamul.

כב ֵ ֛א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֥חֹת ְי ָ ֖הוּדה ִל ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֑יהם ִשׁ ָ ֧שּׁה These were the families of Judah according to those of .22

ְו ִשׁ ְב ִ ֛ﬠים ֶ ֖א ֶלף ַ ֽו ֲח ֵ ֥משׁ ֵמ ֽאוֹת: .them counted, seventy six thousand and five hundred

כג ְבֵּ ֤ני ִי ָשּׂ ָשכ ֙ר ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ֔חֹתם ָ֕תּוֹלע ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת :The descendants of Issachar according to their families .23 ַה ֽתּ ָוֹל ִ ֑ﬠי ְל ֻפָ֕וּה ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ִֽפּוּני: the family of the Tolaites from Tola, the family of the Punites from Puvah,

כה ֵ ֛א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֥חֹת ִי ָשּׂ ָ ֖שכר ִל ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֑יהם ַאְר ָבּ ָ ֧ﬠה These were the families of Issachar according to those of .25

ְו ִשׁ ִ ֛שּׁים ֶ ֖א ֶלף ְוּשׁ ֥לשׁ ֵמ ֽאוֹת: .them counted: sixty four thousand and three hundred

כו ְבֵּ ֣ני ְז ֻבוּל֘ן ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָחֹת ֒ם ְל ֶ֗סֶרד ִמ ְשׁ ַ֨פּ ַח ֙ת ַה ַסְּר ִ֔דּי :The descendants of Zebulun according to their families .26 ְל ֵא ֕לוֹן ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ָה ֵ ֽא ִ ֑ני ְלַ֨י ְח ְל ֵ֔אל ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַהַיּ ְח ְל ֵא ִֽלי: the family of the Sardites from Sered, the family of the Elonites from Elon, the family of the Jahleelites from Jahleel.

כז ֵ ֛א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֥חֹת ַה ְזּ ֽב ִ ֖וּני ִל ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֑יהם ִשׁ ִ֥שּׁים ֶ ֖א ֶלף These were the families of Zebulun according to those of .27

ַ ֽו ֲח ֵ ֥משׁ ֵמ ֽאוֹת: .them counted, sixty thousand and five hundred

כח ְבֵּ ֥ני ֵ ֖יוֹסף ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֑חֹתם ְמ ַנ ֶ ֖שּׁה ְו ֶא ְפָ ֽר ִים: :The descendants of Joseph according to their families .28

Manasseh and Ephraim.

כט ְבֵּ ֣ני ְמ ַנ ֶ֗שּׁה ְל ָמ ִכ ֙יר ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֣פּ ַחת ַה ָ ֽמּ ִכ ִ ֔ירי וּ ָמ ִ ֖כיר The descendants of Manasseh: the family of the .29 ִ ֣הוֹליד ֶאת ִ־גּ ְל ָ ֑ﬠד ְל ִג ְל ָ֕ﬠד ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ִגּ ְל ָﬠ ִֽדי: Machirites from Machir and Machir's son was Gilead; the family of the Gileadites from Gilead.

ל ֵ֚א ֶלּה ְבֵּ ֣ני ִג ְל ָ֔ﬠד ִא ֶ֕יﬠ ֶזר ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ָה ִֽא ֶיﬠ ְזִ ֑רי ְל ֵ֕ח ֶלק These were the family of the descendants of Gilead: The .30 ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַ ֽה ֶח ְלִֽ קי: family of the Iezerites from Iezer, the family of the Helekites from Helek,

לא ְו ַ֨א ְשִׂר ֵ֔יאל ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ָ ֽה ַא ְשִֽׂר ֵא ִ ֑לי ְו ֶ֕שׁ ֶכם ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת the family of the Asrielites from Asriel, the family of the .31

ַה ִשּׁ ְכ ִֽמי: ,Shechemites from Shechem

לב ְוּשׁ ִמ ָ֕ידע ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ְשּׁ ִֽמ ָיד ִ ֑ﬠי ְו ֵ֕ח ֶפר ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת the family of the Shemidaites from Shemida, the family of .32

ַ ֽה ֶח ְפִֽרי: .the Hepherites from Hepher

לג ְוּצ ָל ְפ ָ ֣חד ֶבּ ֵ֗ן־ח ֶפר ל ֹא ָ ֥־היוּ ֛לוֹ ָבִּ ֖נים ִ ֣כּי ִאם־ ָבּ ֑נוֹת Now Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, only .33 ְו ֵשׁ ֙ם ְבּ ֣נוֹת ְצ ָל ְפ ָ֔חד ַמ ְח ָ ֣לה ְו ֹנ ָ֔ﬠה ָח ְגָ ֥לה ִמ ְל ָ ֖כּה daughters, and the names of Zelophehad's daughters were ְו ִתְר ָ ֽצה: .Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah

לד ֵ ֖א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֣חֹת ְמ ַנ ֶ ֑שּׁה וּ ְפֻ ֣ ק ֵד ֶ֔יהם ְשַׁ ֧נ ִ ים ַ ֽו ֲח ִמ ִ ֛שּׁים These were families of Manasseh, and those of them .34

ֶ ֖א ֶלף ְוּשׁ ַ ֥בע ֵמ ֽאוֹת: .counted were fifty two thousand and seven hundred

לה ֵ ֣א ֶלּה ְבֵ ֽנ ֶי־א ְפַ ֘ר ִים֘ ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָחֹת ֒ם ְל ֶ֗שׁוּת ַלח These were the descendants of Ephraim according to their .35 families: the family of the Shuthalhites from Shuthelah, the ִמ ְשׁ ַ֨פּ ַח ֙ת ַה ֻ ֣שּׁ ַת ְל ִ֔חי ְל ֶ֕ב ֶכר ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ַבּ ְכִ ֑רי ְל ַ֕ת ַחן ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ַ ֽתּ ֲחִֽני: family of the Bachrites from Becher, the family of the Tahanites from Tahan.

מ ַוִֽיּ ְה֥יוּ ְב ֵני־ ֶ ֖ב ַלע ַ ֣אְר ְדּ ְוַ ֽנ ֲﬠ ָ ֑מן ִמ ְשׁ ַ֨פּ ַח ֙ת ָ ֽה ַאְר ִ֔דּי The sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman; the family of the .40

מב ֵ ֤א ֶלּה ְב ֵנ ָ ֙י־דן ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ֔חֹתם ְל ָ֕שׁוּחם ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת The descendants of Dan according to their families: the .42 ַה ֽשּׁ ָוּח ִ ֑מי ֵ ֛א ֶלּה ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֥חֹת ָ ֖דּן ְל ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ָ ֽחֹתם: family of the Shuhamites from Shuham. These were the families of Dan.

מג ָכּ ִל־מ ְשׁ ְפּ ֥חֹת ַה ֽשּׁ ָוּח ִ ֖מי ִל ְפֻ ֽ ק ֵד ֶ ֑יהם ַאְר ָבּ ָ ֧ﬠה All the Shuhamite families according to those of them .43

נב ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׁה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to Moses, saying .52

נג ָל ֵ֗א ֶלּה ֵ ֽתּ ָח ֵ ֥לק ָה ָ ֛אֶרץ ְבַּ ֽנ ֲח ָ ֖לה ְבּ ִמ ְס ַ ֥פּר ֵשׁ ֽמוֹת: You shall apportion the Land among these as an .53 inheritance, in accordance with the number of names.

נד ָלַ ֗רב ַתְּר ֶבּ ֙ה ַ ֽנ ֲח ָל ֔תוֹ ְו ַ ֽל ְמ ַ֕ﬠט ַתּ ְמ ִ ֖ﬠיט ַ ֽנ ֲח ָל ֑תוֹ ִ֚אישׁ To the large [tribe] you shall give a larger inheritance and .54 ְל ִ ֣פי ְפ ֻק ָ֔דיו ֻי ַ ֖תּן ַ ֽנ ֲח ָל ֽתוֹ: to a smaller tribe you shall give a smaller inheritance, each person shall be given an inheritance according to his number.

נה ַא־ ְבּ ָ ֕גוֹרל ֵ ֽי ָח ֵ ֖לק ֶאת ָ־ה ָ ֑אֶרץ ִל ְשׁ ֥מוֹת Only through lot shall the Land be apportioned; they shall .55

ַמ ֽטוֹת ֲ־אבֹ ָ ֖תם ִי ְנ ָ ֽחלוּ: .inherit it according to the names of their fathers' tribes

נו ַﬠ ִ ֙ל־פּי ַה ָ ֔גּוֹרל ֵ ֽתּ ָח ֵ ֖לק ַ ֽנ ֲח ָל ֑תוֹ ֵ ֥בּין ַ ֖רב ִל ְמ ָ ֽﬠט: The inheritance shall be apportioned between the .56 numerous and the few, according to lot.

נח ֵ ֣א ֶלּה | ִמ ְשׁ ְפּ ֣חֹת ֵלִ֗וי ִמ ְשׁ ַ֨פּ ַחת ַה ִלּ ְב ִ֜ני ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֤פּ ַחת ,These were the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites .58 the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the ַ ֽה ֶח ְברֹ ִ֙ני ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֤פּ ַחת ַה ַמּ ְח ִ ֙לי ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֣פּ ַחת ַה ִ֔מּוּשׁי ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֖פּ ַחת ַה ָקְּר ִ ֑חי ְוּק ָ ֖הת ִ֥הוֹלד ֶאת־ ַﬠ ְמָ ֽרם: family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites and Kehat begot Amram.

נט ְו ֵ ֣שׁם | ֵ ֣א ֶשׁת ַﬠ ְמָ ֗רם יוֹ ֶ֨כ ֶב ֙ד ַבּת־ ֵלִ֔וי ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ָ ֽי ְל ָ ֥דה The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed the daughter of .59 ֹא ָ ֛תהּ ְל ֵלִ ֖וי ְבּ ִמ ְצָ ֑ר ִים ַו ֵ ֣תּ ֶלד ְל ַﬠ ְמָ ֗רם ֶאת ַ ֽ־א ֲה ֙רֹן Levi, whom [her mother] had borne to Levi in Egypt. She bore ְו ֶאת־מ ֶ֔שׁה ְו ֵ ֖את ִמְרָ ֥ים ֲא ָ ֽחֹתם: .to Amram, Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam

ס ַו ִיָּוּ ֵ ֣לד ְל ַ ֽא ֲה ֔רֹן ֶאת ָ־נָ ֖דב ְו ֶאת ֲ־א ִב ֑יהוּא ֶאת ֶ־א ְל ָﬠָ ֖זר .Born to Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar .60

סג ֵ֚א ֶלּה ְפּ ֵ ֣קוּדי מ ֶ֔שׁה ְו ֶא ְל ָﬠָ ֖זר ַהכֹּ ֵ ֑הן ֲא ֶ֨שׁר ָ ֽפּ ְק ֜דוּ ,This was the census of Moses and Eleazar the kohen .63 ֶאת־ ְבֵּ ֤ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵא ֙ל ְבּ ַﬠְר ֣בֹת ָ֔מוֹאב ַ ֖ﬠל ַיְר ֵ ֥דּן ְיֵר ֽחוֹ: who counted the children of Israel in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan at Jericho.

ח ְו ֶאל־ ְבֵּ ֥ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֖אל ְתַּד ֵ ֣בּר ֵל ֑ ֹאמר ִ ֣אישׁ ִֽכּי־ ָי ֗מוּת וּ ֵ ֙בן Speak to the children of Israel saying: If a man dies and has .8

ֵ ֣אין ֔לוֹ ְו ַ ֽה ֲﬠ ַבְר ֶ ֥תּם ֶאת ַ ֽ־נ ֲח ָל ֖תוֹ ְל ִב ֽתּוֹ: .no son, you shall transfer his inheritance to his daughter

ט ְו ִא ֵ ֥ם־אין ֖לוֹ ַ ֑בּת ְוּנ ַת ֶ ֥תּם ֶאת ַ ֽ־נ ֲח ָל ֖תוֹ ְל ֶא ָ ֽחיו: If he has no daughter, you shall give over his inheritance to .9 his brothers.

י ְו ִא ֵ ֥ם־אין ֖לוֹ ַא ִ ֑חים ְוּנ ַת ֶ ֥תּם ֶאת ַ ֽ־נ ֲח ָל ֖תוֹ ַ ֽל ֲא ֵ ֥חי If he has no brothers, you shall give over his inheritance to .10

יא ְו ִא ֵ ֣ם־אין ַא ִחים֘ ְל ָא ִב ֒יו ְוּנ ַת ֶ ֣תּם ֶאת ַ ֽ־נ ֲח ָל ֗תוֹ If his father has no brothers, you shall give over his .11 ִל ְשׁ ֵא ֞רוֹ ַה ָקּ ֥רֹב ֵא ָ ֛ליו ִמ ִמּ ְשׁ ַפּ ְח ֖תּוֹ ְו ָיַ ֣רשׁ ֹא ָ ֑תהּ ְו ָ֨הְי ָ֜תה inheritance to the kinsman closest to him in his family, who

ִל ְבֵ ֤ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵא ֙ל ְל ֻחַ ֣קּת ִמ ְשׁ ָ֔פּט ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶ ֛שׁר ִצָ ֥וּה ְי ָ ֖הוֹה shall inherit it. This shall remain a decreed statute, as the Lord commanded Moses. ֶאת־מ ֶ ֽשׁה:

יב ַו ֤יּ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ֶאל־מ ֶ֔שׁה ֲﬠ ֵ ֛לה ֶא ַ ֥ל־הר ָ ֽה ֲﬠ ָבִ ֖רים The Lord said to Moses, "Go up to this mount Abarim and .12

ַהֶ ֑זּה ְוּר ֵא ֙ה ֶאת ָ־ה ָ֔אֶרץ ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ָנ ַ ֖ת ִתּי ִל ְבֵ ֥ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֽאל: .look at the land that I have given to the children of Israel

יג ְוָר ִ ֣אי ָתה ֹא ָ֔תהּ ְוֶ ֽנ ֱא ַס ְפ ָ ֥תּ ֶאל־ ַﬠ ֶ ֖מּי ַגּ ָ ֑ם־א ָתּה And when you have seen it, you too will be gathered to .13

ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ֶ ֽנ ֱא ַ ֖סף ַ ֽא ֲה ֥רֹן ָא ִֽחי: .your people, just as Aaron your brother was gathered

יד ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶשׁ ֩ר ְמִרי ֶ֨תם ִ֜פּי ְבּ ִמ ְד ַבּר־ ִ֗צן ִבּ ְמִרי ַב ֙ת ָ ֽה ֵﬠ ָ֔דה Because you disobeyed My command in the desert of Zin .14 when the congregation quarreled, [when you were] to sanctify ְל ַה ְק ִדּי ֵ ֥שׁ ִני ַב ַ ֖מִּים ְל ֵ ֽﬠ ֵינ ֶ ֑יהם ֵ ֛הם ֵ ֽמ ְי־מִרי ַ ֥בת ָק ֵ ֖דשׁ ִמ ְד ַבּר־ ִֽצן: Me through the water before their eyes; these were the waters of dispute at Kadesh, in the desert of Zin.

טו ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֣בּר מ ֶ֔שׁה ֶאל־ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֵל ֽ ֹאמר: :Moses spoke to the Lord, saying .15

טז ִי ְפ ֣קֹד ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ֱא ֵ ֥הי ָ ֽה ֖רוּחֹת ְל ָכל־ ָבּ ָ ֑שׂר ִ ֖אישׁ Let the Lord, the God of spirits of all flesh, appoint a man" .16

ַﬠ ָ ֽל־ה ֵﬠ ָ ֽדה: ,over the congregation

יז ֲא ֶשׁר־ ֵי ֵ ֣צא ִל ְפ ֵנ ֶ֗יהם ַ ֽו ֲא ֶ ֤שׁר ָיב ֹ֙א ִל ְפ ֵנ ֶ֔יהם ַ ֽו ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר who will go forth before them and come before them, who .17 ֽי ִוֹצ ֵ ֖יאם ַ ֽו ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר ְי ִב ֵ ֑יאם ְו ֤ל ֹא ִֽת ְהֶי ֙ה ֲﬠ ַ ֣דת ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ַכּ ֕צּ ֹאן will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ֵ ֽאין־ ָל ֶ ֖הם רֹ ֶ ֽﬠה: ".of the Lord will not be like sheep without a shepherd

יח ַו֨יּ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָ ֜הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ֗שׁה ַקח־ ְל ֙ ֶאת־ ְי ֻ ֣הוֹשׁ ַ The Lord said to Moses, "Take for yourself Joshua the son .18

ִבּ ֔ן־נוּן ִ ֖אישׁ ֲא ֶשׁ ֣ר־ר ַוּ ֑בּוֹ ְו ָ ֽס ַמ ְכ ָ ֥תּ ֶאת־ָ ֽי ְ ד ֖ ָﬠ ָ ֽליו: .of Nun, a man of spirit, and you shall lay your hand upon him

ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֽאל: .all the congregation of the children of Israel will take heed

כא ְו ִל ְפ ֵ֨ני ֶא ְל ָﬠָ ֤זר ַהכֹּ ֵ ֙הן ַ ֽי ֲﬠ ֔ ֹמד ְו ָ ֥שׁ ַאל ֛לוֹ ְבּ ִמ ְשׁ ַ ֥פּט He shall stand before Eleazar the kohen and seek .21 [counsel from] him through the judgment of the Urim before the ָ ֽה ִ ֖אוּרים ִל ְפֵ ֣ני ְי ָ ֑הוֹה ַﬠ ִ֨ל־פּיו ֵ ֽי ְצ ֜אוּ ְו ַﬠ ִ ֣ל־פּיו ָי ֗בֹאוּ ֛הוּא ְו ָכל־ ְבֵּ ֽני־ ִי ְשָׂר ֵ ֥אל ִא ֖תּוֹ ְו ָכ ָ ֽל־ה ֵﬠ ָ ֽדה: Lord. By his word they shall go, and by his word they shall come; he and all Israel with him, and the entire congregation."

כב ַוַיּ֣ ַﬠשׂ מ ֶ֔שׁה ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶ ֛שׁר ִצָ ֥וּה ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֹא ֑תוֹ ַו ִיַּ ֣קּח Moses did as the Lord had commanded him, and he took .22 ֶאת־ ְי ֻ֗הוֹשׁ ַ ַוַ ֽיּ ֲﬠ ִמ ֵ֨ד ֙הוּ ִל ְפ ֵ֙ני ֶא ְל ָﬠָ ֣זר ַהכֹּ ֵ֔הן ְו ִל ְפֵ ֖ני Joshua and presented him before Eleazar the kohen and ָכּ ָ ֽל־ה ֵﬠ ָ ֽדה: .before the entire congregation

כג ַו ִיּ ְס ֧ ֹמ ֶאת־ ָי ָ ֛דיו ָﬠ ָ ֖ליו ַו ְי ַצֵ ֑וּהוּ ַ ֽכּ ֲא ֶ ֛שׁר ִדּ ֶ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה He laid his hands upon him and commanded him, in .23

ְבַּיד־מ ֶ ֽשׁה: .accordance with what the Lord had spoken to Moses

Fifth Portion Numbers Chapter 28

א ַו ְי ַד ֵ ֥בּר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֶאל־מ ֶ ֥שׂה ֵלּ ֽ ֹאמר: :The Lord spoke to: Moses, saying .1

ב ַ֚צו ֶאת־ ְבֵּ ֣ני ִי ְשָׂר ֵ֔אל ְו ָ ֽא ַמְר ָ ֖תּ ֲא ֵל ֶ ֑הם ֶאת ָ־קְר ָבּ ִ֨ני Command the children of Israel and say to them: My .2 ַל ְח ִ֜מי ְל ִא ַ֗שּׁי ֵ֚ר ַי ִֽנ ִ֔יחֹחי ִתּ ְשׁ ְמ ֕רוּ ְל ַה ְקִ֥ריב ִ ֖לי offering, My food for My fire offerings, a spirit of satisfaction for ְבּ ֽמ ֲוֹﬠ ֽדוֹ: .Me, you shall take care to offer to Me at its appointed time

ג ְו ָ ֽא ַמְר ָ ֣תּ ָל ֶ֔הם ֶ֚זה ָ ֽה ִא ֶ֔שּׁה ֲא ֶ ֥שׁר ַתּ ְקִ ֖ריבוּ ַ ֽל ָ ֑יהוֹה And you shall say to them: This is the fire offering which you .3 ְכּ ָב ִ֨שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֧נה ְת ִמי ִ ֛מם ְשַׁ ֥נ ִ ים ַל ֖יּוֹם עֹ ָ ֥לה ָת ִֽמיד: shall offer to the Lord: two unblemished lambs in their first year each day as a continual burnt offering.

ד ֶאת ַ־ה ֶ ֥כּ ֶבשׂ ֶא ָ ֖חד ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֣שׂה ַב ֑בֹּ ֶקר ְו ֵא ֙ת ַה ֶ ֣כּ ֶבשׂ The one lamb you shall offer up in the morning, and the .4

ַה ֵשּׁ ִ֔ני ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֖שׂה ֵ ֥בּין ָ ֽה ַﬠְר ָ ֽבִּים: .other lamb you shall offer up in the afternoon

ה ַ ֽו ֲﬠ ִשׂ ִ ֧ירית ָ ֽה ֵאי ָ ֛פה ֖סֹ ֶלת ְל ִמ ְנ ָ ֑חה ְבּ ָ ֛לוּלה ְבּ ֶ ֥שׁ ֶמן ,And one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering .5

ָכּ ִ ֖תית ְר ִב ִ֥יﬠת ַה ִֽהין: .mixed with a quarter of a hin of crushed [olive] oil

ו עֹ ַ ֖לת ָתּ ִ ֑מיד ָ ֽה ֲﬠ ֻשׂ ָי ֙ה ְבּ ַ ֣הר ִס ַ֔יני ְלֵ ֣ר ַי ִנ ֔יחַֹ ִא ֶ ֖שּׁה A continual burnt offering, as the one offered up at Mount .6

ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: .Sinai, for a spirit of satisfaction, a fire offering to the Lord

ח ְו ֵא ֙ת ַה ֶ ֣כּ ֶבשׂ ַה ֵשּׁ ִ֔ני ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ ֖שׂה ֵ ֣בּין ָ ֽה ַﬠְר ָ ֑בִּים ְכּ ִמ ְנ ַ֨חת .And the second lamb you shall offer up in the afternoon .8 You shall offer it up with the same meal offering and libation as ַה ֤בֹּ ֶקר וּ ְכ ִנ ְס ֙כּוֹ ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ֔שׂה ִא ֵ ֛שּׁה ֵ ֥ר ַי ִנ ֖יחַֹ ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: the morning [sacrifice], a fire offering with a spirit of satisfaction to the Lord.

ט וּ ְב ֙יוֹם ַה ַשּׁ ָ֔בּת ְשֵׁ ֽנ ְי־כ ָב ִ֥שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֖נה ְתּ ִמי ִ ֑מם And on the Sabbath day, two unblemished lambs in the first .9 ְוּשֵׁ ֣ני ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ֗נים ֧סֹ ֶלת ִמ ְנ ָ ֛חה ְבּ ָ ֥לוּלה ַב ֶ ֖שּׁ ֶמן ְו ִנ ְס ֽכּוֹ: year, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a meal offering, mixed with oil, and its libation.

י עֹ ַ ֥לת ַשׁ ַ ֖בּת ְבּ ַשׁ ַבּ ֑תּוֹ ַﬠל־עֹ ַ ֥לת ַה ָתּ ִ ֖מיד ְו ִנ ְס ָ ֽכּהּ: ,This is] the burnt offering of each Sabbath on its Sabbath] .10 in addition to the continual burnt offering and its libation.

יא וּ ְבָרא ֵ ֙שׁי ָח ְד ֵשׁי ֶ֔כם ַתּ ְקִ֥ריבוּ עֹ ָ ֖לה ַ ֽל ָ ֑יהוֹה ָפִּ ֨רים And on the beginning of your months, you shall offer up a .11 ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָבָ ֤ קר ְשׁ ַ֨נִי ֙ם ְו ַ ֣אִיל ֶא ָ֔חד ְכּ ָב ִ ֧שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֛נה ִשׁ ְב ָ ֖ﬠה burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven ְתּ ִמי ִֽמם: .lambs in the first year, [all] unblemished

יב ְוּשׁ ָ ֣לשׁה ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ֗נים ֤סֹ ֶלת ִמ ְנ ָח ֙ה ְבּ ָ ֣לוּלה ַב ֶ֔שּׁ ֶמן ,Three tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a meal offering .12 ַל ָ ֖פּר ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֑חד ְוּשֵׁ ֣ני ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ֗נים ֤סֹ ֶלת ִמ ְנ ָח ֙ה ְבּ ָ ֣לוּלה mixed with oil for each bull, and two tenths of an ephah of fine ַב ֶ֔שּׁ ֶמן ָל ַ ֖אִיל ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֽחד: .flour as a meal offering, mixed with oil for each ram

יג ְו ִﬠ ָשּׂ ֣רֹן ִﬠ ָשּׂ ֗רוֹן ֤סֹ ֶלת ִמ ְנ ָח ֙ה ְבּ ָ ֣לוּלה ַב ֶ֔שּׁ ֶמן ַל ֶ ֖כּ ֶבשׂ And one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a .13 ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֑חד עֹ ָל ֙ה ֵ ֣ר ַי ִנ ֔יחַֹ ִא ֶ ֖שּׁה ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: meal offering for each lamb. A burnt offering with a spirit of satisfaction, a fire offering to the Lord.

יד ְו ִנ ְס ֵכּ ֶ֗יהם ֲח ִ ֣צי ַה ִה ֩ין ִֽי ְהֶ֨יה ַל ָ֜פּר ְוּשׁ ִלי ִ ֧שׁת ַה ִ ֣הין And their libations: a half of a hin for each bull, a third of a .14 hin for each ram, and a quarter of a hin for each lamb wine; ָל ַ֗אִיל ְוּר ִב ִ֥יﬠת ַה ִ ֛הין ַל ֶ ֖כּ ֶבשׂ ָ ֑י ִ ין ֣ז ֹאת עֹ ַ ֥לת ֨חֹ ֶד ֙שׁ ְבּ ָח ְד ֔שׁוֹ ְל ָח ְד ֵ ֖שׁי ַה ָשָּׁ ֽנה: ,this is the burnt offering of each new month in its month throughout the months of the year.

טו ְוּשׂ ִ֨ﬠיר ִﬠִ֥זּים ֶא ָ ֛חד ְל ַח ָ ֖טּאת ַ ֽל ָ ֑יהוֹה ַﬠל־עֹ ַ ֧לת And one young male goat for a sin offering to the Lord; it .15 ַה ָתּ ִ ֛מיד ֵ ֽי ָﬠ ֶ ֖שׂה ְו ִנ ְס ֽכּוֹ: shall be offered up in addition to the continual burnt offering and its libation.

Sixth Portion Numbers Chapter 28 טז וּ ַב ֣חֹ ֶדשׁ ָ ֽהִרא ֗שׁוֹן ְבּ ַאְר ָבּ ָ ֥ﬠה ָﬠ ָ ֛שׂר ֖יוֹם ַל ֑חֹ ֶדשׁ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, [you .16

ֶ ֖פּ ַסח ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: .shall offer up] a Passover offering to the Lord

יח ַבּ֥יּוֹם ָ ֽהִרא ֖שׁוֹן ִמ ְקָרא ֑־קֹ ֶדשׁ ָכּ ְל־מ ֶ ֥ל ֶאכת ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall not .18

֥ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֽשׂוּ: .perform any mundane work

יט ְו ִה ְקַר ְב ֶ֨תּם ִא ֶ ֤שּׁה עֹ ָל ֙ה ַ ֽל ָ ֔יהוֹה ָפִּ ֧רים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָבָ ֛ קר You shall offer up a fire offering, a burnt offering to the .19 ְשַׁ ֖נ ִ ים ְו ַ ֣אִיל ֶא ָ ֑חד ְו ִשׁ ְב ָ ֤ﬠה ְכ ָב ִשׂי ֙ם ְבֵּ ֣ני ָשׁ ָ֔נה ְתּ ִמי ִ ֖מם Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs in the first ִֽי ְה֥יוּ ָל ֶ ֽכם: .year they shall be unblemished for you

כ וּ ִ֨מ ְנ ָח ָ֔תם ֖סֹ ֶלת ְבּ ָ ֣לוּלה ַב ָ ֑שּׁ ֶמן ְשׁ ָ֨לשׁה ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ֜נים ;Their meal offerings [shall be] fine flour mixed with oil .20 ַל ָ֗פּר ְוּשֵׁ ֧ני ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ ֛נים ָל ַ ֖אִיל ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֽשׂוּ: three tenths for each bull and two tenths for the ram you shall offer up.

כא ִﬠ ָשּׂ ֤רוֹן ִﬠ ָשּׂ ֙רוֹן ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֶ֔שׂה ַל ֶ ֖כּ ֶבשׂ ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֑חד ְל ִשׁ ְב ַ ֖ﬠת And you shall offer up one tenth for each lamb, for all .21

ַה ְכּ ָב ִֽשׂים: .seven lambs

כב ְוּשׂ ִ֥ﬠיר ַח ָ ֖טּאת ֶא ָ ֑חד ְל ַכ ֵ ֖פּר ֲﬠ ֵלי ֶ ֽכם: And one young male goat for a sin offering to atone for .22 you.

כג ִמ ְלּ ַב ֙ד עֹ ַ ֣לת ַה ֔בֹּ ֶקר ֲא ֶ ֖שׁר ְלעֹ ַ ֣לת ַה ָתּ ִ ֑מיד ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֖שׂוּ You shall offer these up besides the morning burnt offering .23

ֶאת ֵ ֽ־א ֶלּה: .which is offered as a continual burnt offering

כד ָכּ ֵ֜א ֶלּה ַ ֽתּ ֲﬠ ֤שׂוּ ַל ֙יּוֹם ִשׁ ְב ַ ֣ﬠת ָי ִ֔מים ֶ ֛ל ֶחם ִא ֵ ֥שּׁה Like these, you shall offer up daily for seven days, food of .24 the fire offering, a spirit of satisfaction to the Lord; you shall ֵ ֽר ַי ִ־נ ֖יחַֹ ַ ֽל ָ ֑יהוֹה ַﬠל־ ַ ֧עוֹלת ַה ָתּ ִ ֛מיד ֵ ֽי ָﬠ ֶ ֖שׂה ְו ִנ ְס ֽכּוֹ: offer up this in addition to the continual burnt offering and its libation.

כה וּ ַב ֙יּוֹם ַה ְשּׁ ִב ִ֔יﬠי ִמ ְקָרא ֖־קֹ ֶדשׁ ִֽי ְהֶי֣ה ָל ֶ ֑כם The seventh day shall be a holy convocation for you; you .25

ָכּ ְל־מ ֶ ֥ל ֶאכת ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ֥ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֽשׂוּ: .shall not perform any mundane work

כו וּ ְב֣יוֹם ַה ִבּ ִ ֗כּוּרים ְבּ ַה ְקִ ֨רי ְב ֶ֜כם ִמ ְנ ָ ֤חה ֲח ָד ָשׁ ֙ה On the day of the first fruits, when you offer up a new meal .26 offering to the Lord, on your festival of Weeks; it shall be a holy ַ ֽל ָ ֔יהוֹה ְבּ ָ ֽשׁ ֻב ֖ﬠֹ ֵתי ֶ ֑כם ִמ ְקָרא ֨־קֹ ֶד ֙שׁ ִֽי ְהֶי֣ה ָל ֶ֔כם ָכּ ְל־מ ֶ ֥ל ֶאכת ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ֥ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֽשׂוּ: convocation for you, and you shall not perform any mundane work.

כז ְו ִה ְקַר ְב ֶ֨תּם ָ֜עוֹלה ְלֵ ֤ר ַי ִנ ֨יחַֹ ֙ ַ ֽל ָ ֔יהוֹה ָפִּ ֧רים You shall offer up a burnt offering with a spirit of .27 ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָבָ ֛ קר ְשַׁ ֖נ ִ ים ַ ֣אִיל ֶא ָ ֑חד ִשׁ ְב ָ ֥ﬠה ְכ ָב ִ ֖שׂים ְבֵּ ֥ני ָשָׁ ֽנה: satisfaction to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs in the first year.

כח וּ ִ֨מ ְנ ָח ָ֔תם ֖סֹ ֶלת ְבּ ָ ֣לוּלה ַב ָ ֑שּׁ ֶמן ְשׁ ָ ֤לשׁה ֶﬠ ְשׂרֹ ִני ֙ם ;Their meal offerings [shall be] fine flour mixed with oil .28

ַל ָ ֣פּר ָ ֽה ֶא ָ֔חד ְשׁ ֵ֙ני ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ֔נים ָל ַ ֖אִיל ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֽחד: .three tenths for each bull and two tenths for the ram

Numbers Chapter 29 א וּ ַב ֨חֹ ֶדשׁ ַה ְשּׁ ִב ִ֜יﬠי ְבּ ֶא ָ ֣חד ַל ֗חֹ ֶדשׁ ִמ ְקָרא ֨־קֹ ֶד ֙שׁ And in the seventh month, on the first day, there shall be a .1 ִֽי ְהֶי֣ה ָל ֶ֔כם ָכּ ְל־מ ֶ ֥ל ֶאכת ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ֣ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֑שׂוּ ֥יוֹם holy convocation for you; you shall not perform any mundane ְתּ ָ ֖רוּﬠה ִֽי ְהֶ ֥יה ָל ֶ ֽכם: .work. It shall be a day of shofar sounding for you

ב ַ ֽו ֲﬠ ִשׂי ֶ֨תם עֹ ָ֜לה ְלֵ ֤ר ַי ִנ ֨יחַֹ ֙ ַ ֽל ָ ֔יהוֹה ַ ֧פּר ֶבּן־ ָבָּ ֛ קר You shall offer up a burnt offering for a spirit of satisfaction .2 ֶא ָ ֖חד ַ ֣אִיל ֶא ָ ֑חד ְכּ ָב ִ ֧שׂים ְבֵּ ֽני־ ָשָׁ ֛נה ִשׁ ְב ָ ֖ﬠה ְתּ ִמי ִֽמם: to the Lord: one young bull, one ram, and seven lambs in the first year, [all] unblemished.

ג וּ ִ֨מ ְנ ָח ָ֔תם ֖סֹ ֶלת ְבּ ָ ֣לוּלה ַב ָ ֑שּׁ ֶמן ְשׁ ָ ֤לשׁה ֶﬠ ְשׂרֹ ִני ֙ם ,And their meal offering [shall be] fine flour mixed with oil .3

ַל ָ֔פּר ְשֵׁ ֥ני ֶﬠ ְשׂרִֹ ֖נים ָל ָ ֽאִיל: .three tenths for the bull and two tenths for the ram

ד ְו ִﬠ ָשּׂ ֣רוֹן ֶא ָ֔חד ַל ֶ ֖כּ ֶבשׂ ָ ֽה ֶא ָ ֑חד ְל ִשׁ ְב ַ ֖ﬠת ַה ְכּ ָב ִֽשׂים: .And one tenth for each lamb, for the seven lambs .4

ו ִמ ְלּ ַב ֩ד עֹ ַ֨לת ַה ֜חֹ ֶדשׁ וּ ִמ ְנ ָח ָ֗תהּ ְועֹ ַ ֤לת ַה ָתּ ִמ ֙יד This is] besides the burnt offering of the new month and its] .6 meal offering, and the continual burnt offering and its meal וּ ִמ ְנ ָח ָ֔תהּ ְו ִנ ְס ֵכּ ֶ ֖יהם ְכּ ִמ ְשׁ ָפּ ָ ֑טם ְלֵ ֣ר ַי ִנ ֔יחַֹ ִא ֶ ֖שּׁה ַ ֽל ָ ֽיהוֹה: offering, and their libations as prescribed for them, as a spirit of satisfaction, a fire offering to the Lord.

ז וּ ֶ ֽב ָﬠ ֩שׂוֹר ַל ֨חֹ ֶדשׁ ַה ְשּׁ ִב ִ֜יﬠי ַה ֶ֗זּה ִמ ְקָרא ֨־קֹ ֶד ֙שׁ ִֽי ְהֶי֣ה And on the tenth day of this seventh month, there shall be a .7 ָל ֶ֔כם ְו ִﬠ ִנּי ֶ ֖תם ֶאת ַ־נ ְפ ֽשֹׁ ֵתי ֶ ֑כם ָכּ ְל־מ ָל ָ ֖אכה ֥ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֽשׂוּ: holy convocation for you, and you shall afflict your souls. ֲﬠבָֹ ֖דה ֥ל ֹא ַ ֽת ֲﬠ ֽשׂוּ: .shall not perform any mundane work

לז ִמ ְנ ָח ָ ֣תם ְו ִנ ְס ֵכּ ֶ֗יהם ַל ָ֨פּר ָל ַ ֧אִיל ְו ַל ְכּ ָב ִ ֛שׂים Their meal offerings and their libations, for the bulls, for .37 ְבּ ִמ ְס ָפָּ ֖רם ַכּ ִמּ ְשׁ ָ ֽפּט: the rams, and for the lambs, according to their number, as prescribed.

לח ְוּשׂ ִ֥ﬠיר ַח ָ ֖טּאת ֶא ָ ֑חד ִמ ְלּ ַב ֙ד עֹ ַ ֣לת ַה ָתּ ִ֔מיד And one young male goat for a sin offering, besides the .38

וּ ִמ ְנ ָח ָ ֖תהּ ְו ִנ ְס ָ ֽכּהּ: .continual burnt offering, its meal offering and its libation

ֶב ָן־א ֖מוֹן ֶ ֣מ ֶל ְי ָ ֑הוּדה ִבּ ְשׁשׁ־ ֶﬠ ְשֵׂ ֥רה ָשָׁ ֖נה ְל ָמ ְל ֽכוֹ: .son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign

ג ַו ְי ִ֗הי ִבּי ֵ֨מי ְי ֽה ָוֹי ִ֚ קים ֶבּן־ ֽי ֹא ִ ֙שׁ ָיּ ֙הוּ ֶ ֣מ ֶל ְי ָ֔הוּדה And he was in the days of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of .3 ַﬠ ֹד־תּ ֙ם ַﬠ ְשׁ ֵ ֽתּי־ ֶﬠ ְשֵׂ ֣רה ָשׁ ָ֔נה ְל ִצ ְד ִקָ ֥יּהוּ ֶבן־ ֽי ֹא ִשָׁ ֖יּהוּ ,Judah, until the end of eleven years of Zedekiah son of Josiah ֶ ֣מ ֶל ְי ָ ֑הוּדה ַﬠ ְד־גּ ֥לוֹת ְיֽר ָוּשׁ ַל ִ ֖ם ַבּ ֥חֹ ֶדשׁ ַ ֽה ֲח ִמי ִֽשׁי: .king of Judah, until the exile of Jerusalem in the fifth month

ד ַו ְי ִ֥הי ְד ַבר־ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֵא ַ ֥לי ֵל ֽ ֹאמר: :And the word of the Lord came to me, saying .4

ה ְבּ ֶ֨טֶרם ֶא ָצְּר ֚ (כתיב ֶא ָצּ ְור ֚) ַב ֶ֙בּ ֶ ֙טן ְי ַד ְﬠ ִ֔תּי ,When I had not yet formed you in the womb, I knew you .5 וּ ְב ֶ ֛טֶרם ֵתּ ֵ ֥צא ֵמֶ ֖ר ֶחם ִה ְק ַדּ ְשׁ ִ ֑תּי ָנ ִ֥ביא ַל ִ ֖גּוֹים ְנ ַת ִֽתּי: and when you had not yet emerged from the womb, I had appointed you; a prophet to the nations I made you.

ו ָ ֽו ֹא ַ֗מר ֲא ָה ֙הּ ֲאדָֹ ֣ני ֱי ִ ֔הוֹה ִהֵ ֥נּה ֽל ֹא־ ָי ַ ֖ד ְﬠ ִתּי ַד ֵ ֑בּר And I said, "Alas, O Lord God! Behold, I know not to speak .6

ִכּ ַ ֖י־נ ַﬠר ָא ֹֽנ ִכי: .for I am a youth

ז ַויּ֚ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ֵא ַ֔לי ַאל־תּ ֹ ַ ֖אמר ַ ֣נ ַﬠר ָא ֹ֑נ ִכי ִ֠כּי And the Lord said to me; Say not, "I am a youth," for .7 ַﬠ ָל־כּ ֲל־א ֶ֚שׁר ֶ ֽא ְשׁ ָ ֽל ֲח ֙ ֵתּ ֵ֔ל ְו ֵ ֛את ָכּ ֲל־א ֶ ֥שׁר ֲא ַצְוּ ֖ wherever I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command ְתַּד ֵ ֽבּר: .you, you shall speak

ח ַא ִל־תּ ָ ֖ירא ִמ ְפּ ֵנ ֶ ֑יהם ִֽכּ ִי־א ְתּ ֥ ֲאִ ֛ני ְל ַה ִצּ ֶ ֖ל .Fear them not, for I am with you to save you, says the Lord .8

ְנ ֻאם־ ְי ָ ֽהוֹה:

ט ַו ִיּ ְשׁ ַ֚לח ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ֶאת־ ָי ֔דוֹ ַו ַיַּ ֖גּע ַﬠ ִ ֑ל־פּי ַויּ֚ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה And the Lord stretched out His hand and reached my .9 ֵא ַ֔לי ִהֵ ֛נּה ָנ ַ ֥ת ִתּי ְד ָבַ ֖רי ְבּ ִֽפי: mouth, and the Lord said to me; Behold, I have placed My words in your mouth.

י ְר ֵ֞אה ִה ְפ ַק ְד ִ ֣תּי | ַה֣יּוֹם ַה ֶ֗זּה ַﬠ ַל־ה ִגּוֹי ֙ם Behold, I have appointed you over the nations and over .10 ְו ַﬠ ַל־ה ַמּ ְמ ָל ֔כוֹת ִל ְנ ֥תוֹשׁ ְו ִל ְנ ֖תוֹץ ְוּל ַ ֽה ֲא ִ ֣ביד ְו ַ ֽל ֲה ֑רוֹס the kingdoms, to uproot and to crush, and to destroy and to ִל ְב ֖נוֹת ְו ִל ְנ ֽט ַוֹ: .demolish, to build and to plant

יא ַו ְי ִ֚ הי ְד ַבר־ ְי ָהוֹ ֙ה ֵא ַ ֣לי ֵל ֔ ֹאמר ָ ֽמה ַ־א ָ ֥תּה רֹ ֶ ֖אה And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: What do .11

ִיְר ְמָ ֑יהוּ ָ ֽו ֹא ַ֕מר ַמֵ ֥קּל ָשֵׁ ֖ קד ֲאִ֥ני רֹ ֶ ֽאה: ".you see, Jeremiah? And I said, "I see a rod of an almond tree

יב ַו ֧יּ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָ ֛הוֹה ֵא ַ ֖לי ֵה ַ ֣יט ְב ָתּ ִלְר ֑אוֹת ִֽכּי־שֵֹׁ ֥קד ֲאִ ֛ני And the Lord said to me; You have seen well, for I hasten .12

ַﬠ ְל־דּ ָבִ ֖רי ַ ֽל ֲﬠשֹׂ ֽתוֹ: .My word to accomplish it

יד ַו ֥יּ ֹ ֶאמר ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֵא ָ ֑לי ִמ ָצּ ֙פוֹן ִתּ ָפּ ַ ֣תח ָ ֽהָר ָ֔ﬠה ַ ֥ﬠל And the Lord said to me; From the north the misfortune .14

ָכּל־ ֽיֹ ְשׁ ֵ ֖בי ָה ָ ֽאֶרץ: .will break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land

טו ִ ֣כּי | ִה ְנִ ֣ני קֵֹ ֗רא ְל ָ ֽכ ִל־מ ְשׁ ְפּ ֛חוֹת ַמ ְמ ְל ֥כוֹת ָצ ֖פ ָוֹנה For, behold I am summoning all the families of the .15 ְנ ֻאם־ ְי ָ ֑הוֹה וּ ָ֡באוּ ְֽוָ ֽנ ְת ֩נוּ ִ֨אישׁ ִכּ ְס ֜אוֹ ֶ ֣פּ ַתח | ַ ֽשׁ ֲﬠֵ ֣רי kingdoms of the north, says the Lord, and they will come and ְיֽר ָוּשׁ ַ֗ל ִם ְו ַ֚ ﬠל ָכּ ֽל־חוֹ ֹמ ֶ֙ת ָ֙יה ָס ִ֔ביב ְו ַ ֖ﬠל ָכּל־ ָﬠֵ ֥רי place, each one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem and against all its walls around and against all the ְי ָ ֽהוּדה: cities of Judah.

טז ְו ִד ַבְּר ִ֚תּי ִמ ְשׁ ָפּ ַ ֙טי ָ֔אוֹתם ַ ֖ﬠל ָכּ ָ ֽל־ר ָﬠ ָ ֑תם ֲא ֶ ֣שׁר And I will utter My judgments against them concerning all .16 their evil, that they left Me and offered up burnt-offerings to ֲﬠ ָז ֗ב ִוּני ַ ֽו ְ י ַק ְטּ ֙רוּ ֵ ֽלא ִ ֣הים ֲא ֵחִ ֔רים ַוִֽיּ ְשׁ ַ ֽתּ ֲח֖ווּ ְל ַ ֽמ ֲﬠ ֵ ֥שׂי ְי ֵד ֶ ֽיהם: other gods and they prostrated themselves to the work of their hands.

יז ְו ַא ָתּ ֙ה ֶתּ ְא ֣זֹר ָמ ְת ֶ֔ני ְו ַק ְמ ָ֙תּ ְו ִד ַבְּר ָ ֣תּ ֲא ֵל ֶ֔יהם ֵ ֛את And you shall gird your loins and arise and speak to them .17 ָכּ ֲל־א ֶ ֥שׁר ָ ֽא ֹנ ִ ֖כי ֲא ַצֶ ֑וּ ָ ךּ ַא ֵל־תּ ַח ֙ת ִמ ְפּ ֵנ ֶ֔יהם ֶפּ ֲן־א ִח ְתּ ֖ all that I command you; be not dismayed by them, lest I break ִל ְפ ֵנ ֶ ֽיהם: .you before them

יח ַ ֽו ֲא ִ֞ני ִהֵ ֛נּה ְנ ַת ִ ֣תּי ַה֗יּוֹם ְל ִ֨ﬠיר ִמ ְב ָ֜צר ְוּל ַﬠ ֥מּוּד And I, behold I have made you today into a fortified city .18 and into an iron pillar, and into copper walls against the entire ַבְּרֶ ֛זל ְוּל ֥חֹמוֹת ְנ ֖חֹ ֶשׁת ַﬠ ָל־כּ ָל־ה ָ ֑אֶרץ ְל ַמ ְל ֵ֚כי ְי ָהוּד ֙ה ְל ָשֶׂ ֔ר ָיה ְל ֽכֹ ֲהֶ ֖נ ָיה ְוּל ַ ֥ﬠם ָה ָ ֽאֶרץ: land, against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.

יט ְו ִנ ְל ֲח ֥מוּ ֵא ֶ ֖לי ְו ֽל ֹא־ ֣יוּ ְכלוּ ָ ֑ל ִֽכּ ִי־א ְתּ ֥ ֲאִ ֛ני And they shall fight against you but they shall not prevail .19

ְנ ֻאם־ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ְל ַה ִצּ ֶ ֽיל: .against you, for I am with you says the Lord, to save you

Jeremiah Chapter 2

א ַו ְי ִ֥הי ְד ַבר־ ְי ָ ֖הוֹה ֵא ַ ֥לי ֵל ֽ ֹאמר: :And the word of the Lord came to me, saying .1

ב ָה ֡ ְֽו ָ קָר ָ֩את ְבּ ָאְז ֵ֙ני ְיֽר ָוּשׁ ַ֜ל ִם ֵל ֗ ֹאמר כֹּה ָא ַ ֣מר Go and call out in the ears of Jerusalem, saying: so said the .2 Lord: I remember to you the lovingkindness of your youth, the ְי ָ ֔הוֹה ָז ַ֚ כְר ִתּי ָל ֙ ֶ ֣ח ֶסד ְנ ַ ֔עוּר ִי ַ ֽא ֲה ַ ֖בת ְכּלוּ ָ ֑תִי ֶל ְכ ֵ֚תּ ַ ֽא ֲחַר֙י ַבּ ִמּ ְד ָ֔בּר ְבּ ֶ ֖אֶרץ ֥ל ֹא ְז ָ ֽרוּﬠה: love of your nuptials, your following Me in the desert, in a land not sown.

ג ֚קֹ ֶדשׁ ִי ְשָׂר ֵא ֙ל ַל ָ ֔יהוֹה ֵרא ִ ֖שׁית ְתּ ֽב ָוּא ֑ ֹתה ָכּ ֽ ֹל־א ְכ ָ ֣ליו Israel is holy to the Lord, the first of His grain; all who eat .3

ֶי ְא ָ֔שּׁמוּ ָר ָ ֛ﬠה ָתּ ֥ב ֹא ֲא ֵל ֶ ֖יהם ְנ ֻאם־ ְי ָ ֽהוֹה: .him shall be guilty, evil shall befall them, says the Lord
