SCOUT TROOP 12 Scout Aiden Sacco, Reporter Official Troop 12 Liaison to Loomis Lions Club Recent Scout Events The scouts of Troop 12 helped out with the national Scouting for Food program, went to the Exploratorium and trap shooting. Every year the scouts around the country collect food for local food banks and pantries in a national program called Scouting for Food. The Troop 12 scouts and other Troops and Cub Scout Packs in Loomis, walked around the community collecting non-perishable foods to donate to the Loomis Basin Food Pantry. All together, over 1,000 cans were collected. That was a huge accomplishment and the scouts had a blast participating. The big event of the period was trap shooting. The scouts traveled to the Auburn Trap Club on Friday, March 14 and set up camp for the night at the club. The scouts played football and found many clay pigeons on the range.
