Zabihullah Mujahid Deputy police chief killed, 5 injured in attacks PAKTIKA, Jan. 31 – Al-Emarah News said Friday that the deputy police chief had been of Ghani Khel was killed in of after Mujahideen attacked the carrying him in Jani Khel district of this province. This came on Friday when the vehicle ferrying the Abdul Majeed, the deputy police chief and his bodyguards got targeted by a roadside bomb blast. The attack was carried out by Mujahideen using IEDs on the enemy patrol in Chaghto district of aforesaid province at about 12:00 PM today. Two puppet soldiers were killed on the spot, where a third one injured in the blast is said to be in critical condition.

Gun battle leaves 2 dead, many injured in northern Baghlan province BAGHLAN, Jan. 31 – A violent gun battle is said to have unleashed after the enemy walked into Mujahideen ambush in Dahana-e-Ghour district of Baghlan province early today. In another report from Baghlan province, Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate shelled one of the enemy bases in Dahana-e-Ghouri district of Baghlan province on Friday, leaving one puppet injured.

3 APCs destroyed in Qisar clash, 44 killed and wounded FARYAB, Jan. 31 – Heavy clashes have been ongoing between Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate and hireling troops in northern ’s Qisar district, according to officials.

The clashes broke out Thursday in Nahreen area during which 3 have so far been completely destroyed as well as 17 hireling gunmen killed and some 27 others wounded while 7 Mujahideen are also reported injured and 2 others martyred (may Allah accept them).

The enemy has been forced to retreat from the area, with Mujahideen pursuing and engaging the hirelings. More details will be updated as information arrives.

2 border police killed in Kandahar city KANDAHAR, Jan. 31 – On Friday at around dusk time, 2 border police officers were gunned down and killed by Mujahideen in 7th Hawza area of Kandahar city.

Arbaki commander wounded, guard killed in IED blast URUZGAN, Jan. 31 – A bomb placed in Char Chino district’s Gohergeen area detonated on hireling troops midmorning Friday, leaving an Arbaki militia commander – Akhtar Muhammad – wounded and his guard dead.

Firefight kills and wounds 3 gunmen, APC blown apart HELMAND, Jan. 31 – A one hour firefight took place midmorning today when Mujahideen engaged hireling troops in Sarkano area near bazaar resulting in 3 gunmen killed and wounded before the rest managed to flee.

A bomb blew apart an APC about an hour later in Alizo Karez area while ferrying logistics to its check post, killing and wounding a number of gunmen onboard.

Arbaki commander surrenders in northern Saripul province SARIPUL, Jan. 31 – Haji Murad, an Arbaki commander from Qurchi area of Faryab province repented his mistakes and surrendered to Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate in Saripul province on Friday.

3 more killed and wounded in Qisar, fighting ongoing FARYAB, Jan. 31 – Reports from Qisar district say that fighting is once again taking place today against hireling troops in Ara Kleck area in which 1 gunman has been killed and 2 wounded.

Police officer killed in Awba, 2 wounded HERAT, Jan. 31 – A hireling police officer was killed and 2 wounded 01:00 pm this morning when a bomb detonated on them in Awba district’s Gunabad area.

IED, armed attack kill and wounds 2 ANA NIMROZ, Jan. 31 – Hireling ANA conducing a foot patrol Khashrod district’s Pusht Hassan area 08:00 am this morning were targeted with an IED immediately followed by an armed attack resulting in 1 gunman killed and 2 others wounded.

Fighting ends in Qisar as enemy suffers losses FARYAB, Jan. 31 – The fighting against hireling troops in Qisar district has come to an end after the cowardly enemy was forced to flee.

The clashes began in Arkleck area at around 06:00 am this morning, lasting till around 01:00 pm during which an enemy APC was destroyed, 2 gunmen killed and 3 others wounded whereas a Mujahid was also reported injured in the fighting.
