Teen Titans Go! So suit up, Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1 a pizza and check out these adventures, at least until the next time the world needs saving! For more about Teen Titans Go! It began with my son, as these things so often do. Skeptical as I was, I watched it out of love; that taste- transcending blend of patience and selflessness that allows moms and dads to suffer through Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1 about anything with a smile, no matter how irritating a cartoon or family movie may be. But then somewhere, Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1, very early in the series' first season, something strange happened. My dad-smile wasn't forced. Patience wasn't required. I wasn't indulging in a guilty pleasure. I was Grinning like an idiot? Admiring the wit, unpredictability, Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1, and laugh-a-second animation? I was hooked. Am hooked. As much as my son and wife actually, perhaps even a bit more so. I don't just "get" Teen Titans Go! It gets me. If that bothers you -- if you're looking to adopt another member into the TTG Dissenters Club -- best not read on. I'm a big fan. No two ways about it, and I'm not ashamed to say as much, loudly and as often as anyone is willing to listen. It's not a must-see, top- of-my-list classic, I'll be the first to admit. But it delivers the goods. What happens after everyone's favorite teenage super have saved the planet Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1 total annihilation? Swing by Titans Tower and find out as Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and chill out after a hard day of crime fighting and take on some real challenges like laundry, chores, video games, hunger pains, and plain ol' trying to Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1 along. Enjoy the laughs when Beast Boy introduces his new villainous girlfriend, Raven's demonic father stops by for a visit, or Cyborg has his birthday bashed by an evil pie baker. So suit up, order a pizza and check out Season One's 52 adventures, at least until the next time the world needs saving! Cards on the table. First: I've long been a Marvel kid, though strictly as a matter of preference. I still enjoy DC's stories and cast of characters, so no need to hold that against me. They're too hit or miss and quickly wear out their welcome. Third: no, everyone is not going to react this favorably to Teen Titans Go! Some will, some won't. Complaints usually stem from 's chronic and unceremonious axing of more traditional animated fare like and Green Lanternwhich inadvertently transforms a seemingly aimless, gag-riddled comedy like TTG! One forum member recently lamented, "Why does Cartoon Network insist on renewing this unfunny, meaningless nonsense but cancel all the good stuff? It's not only well written, with gut-busting dialogue and one-liners, rapidfire sight gags, clever jokes, and blink-and-you'll-miss-em DC Comics easter eggs by the hundreds, it nails far more punch-lines than it fumbles, targets kids and their parents with multilayered humor, and doesn't make a habit of repeating itself. And with heroes who aren't limited to Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1 a villain or saving the world, there's plenty of mundane, everyday ground to cover and no end to the places TTG! Even binging my way through a season I've already watched has been a blast. Itching for extra laughs? Focus on the backgrounds and try to spot all the DC cameos, in-jokes and nods. There's no nobler TTG! But hey, maybe it's just me. Adage time: there's no accounting for taste. Legendary Sandwich 2. Pie Bros 3. Driver's Ed 4. Double Trouble 6. The Date 7. Dude Relax! Still holding out for that elusive Season 6 and my baes Raven and Beast Boy to get together. I mean— —how can— —these adorable munchkins— —not— —be— —canon? View 2 comments. Feb 06, Jazmin Luvianos rated it it was amazing. Reminded me a lot of the old TV show and made me Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1. Mar 25, Beckiezra rated it it was ok Shelves: comics-manga. It was a bit too juvenile to really enjoy. I haven't seen Teen Titans in a few years but I don't recall thinking its jokes were lame or its stories were focused toward such a young audience. I mean if the cartoon is for tweens, this feels more like its for young grade schoolers. The art is sometimes a bit lacking as well, sometimes they just don't bother making things proportional and not for any apparent reason like being chibi and barely bothered with the faces. The coloring was good though. Dec 11, Radclyffe U-Haul rated it really liked it Shelves: tv-to-comicscomics. God this show was so good. Aug 30, sixthreezy rated it really liked it Shelves: dc. Not a huge fan of Teen Titans but I did really like the old cartoon on Saturday mornings. This book reads exactly like the old cartoon, and it's a very fun Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1. The jokes at the bottom of the pages and throughout were really entertaining and kept you smiling throughout. I forgot how much I loved Starfire's way of speaking, and how funny it can be. This was really fun, must read for Teen Titans fans and though it plays more on the childish side of comics, it's very entertaining! Feb 09, Carrie rated it really liked it. Loved it for the characters I already know and love, was a little disappointed with some jumpy transitions that caused some tiny moments of confusion. If you like the show, this is a fun, fast read. This first edition of the first five issues was very cute, it was funny and felt true to the original TV show, which I appreciated. Oct 17, Emma rated it really liked it. Jan 22, Arthi rated it really liked it Shelves: comics. A collections of stories that reflect the lighter storylines in the show :. Aug 12, Penny rated it really liked it. This volume of "Teen Titans GO! The Titans gulp down almost as much pizza as the Ninja Turtles and the story lines focus a tad more on morals than the action adventure seen on the TV series. The artwork was visibly inconsistent. I think a lot of the illustrators did the characters from the cartoon . Although I wasn't a huge fan of "Tim Smith 3" penciling work at all. Overall it is a fun series and I'd definitely consider reading more issues if I can track them down! Aug 17, Rachel rated it really liked it Shelves: graphica-for-girlsgraphica-for-boys. The combination of superhero action and humour is what makes Teen Titans special. Like most teens, they are in the process of growing up; their antics are what make them so funny. Unlike regular superheroes who are shaped as the "ideal", the titans are made like teenagers who also have superhuman responsibilities. They can be great friends, but quarrelsome, not the most mature, and they have hobbies, like playing video games. Dec 10, Jeanette rated it really liked it Shelves: graphic-manga-comicsnetgalley. My 10 year old daughter is a Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1 Titan fan. Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1 loves all the older episodes and so when I saw this one I knew she would love to read it. Its a bit harder to read comic books on a kindle as the pages don't line up but we plugged through because we just wanted to know what happened. I saw we because I was actually interested in reading this comic too. The artwork was colorful and on point. It was very engaging, funny and enjoyable. I read this via netgalley. Mar Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1, Kelly rated it liked it. Good, for a children's comic book. Definitely a little upsetting after watching the cartoon series. Characters seem a little out of character but the over-all storylines aren't bad. Still a Teen Titans fan. Like the other Teen Titans Go! There are issues that would have made great episodes, but there are also weaker ones. Oct 17, Melissa rated it liked it Shelves: owned. I did not expect to like this. But anyway: it's funny and amusing, just like the Teen Titans Go!: Volume 1. May 21, Ophelia rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Teen Titans. I am going to look at the pages of Teen Titans till the end! Stephanie Kennerly rated it it was amazing Feb 10, Mohammad rated it really liked it Oct 12,
