Previously, only Locations and a couple of other cards could ever stay in play. Now every card type at every power level has multiple different cards that are Ongoing. Sometimes they help you every turn. But mostly they stay in play until Teen Titans Changing of the Guard choose to discard them for their mighty effects. If you can build up several Ongoing cards, unleash as many as you need to take down the Super-Villains! This set also pays attention to the different card types you have in play. The writing stays strong, and the art though it has some changes between artists, stays pretty consistent. I do enjoy the new additions to the team, as well as the storylines here. Cassie's confrontation with Ares's son is over before we have time to process him as a threat see, I don't even remember his name, or if he even had one. Teen Titans Changing of the Guard departure was probably editorial mandate, and Spoiler's very brief, low dialog appearance was a waste of a great character. It was interesting to see Wendy and Marvin lifted from the old cartoon and established in the DC universe proper. I miss the Milestone comics- I was glad those characters are now part of the DC universe. I hope he stays on with the Titans for a long time. I much prefer the other teen titans we have been introduced to over the course of the series, so I didn't care about their recruitment and I don't want to try to get attached to any newbies that join the team at this point.
