Here at Andros Taverna, we love drinking sparkling wine. For us, a bottle of bubbles is a worthy celebration for a new job, a birthday, or a simple weeknight get together with good friends. Our Greek selections honor that celebration using techniques from around the world, at a world-class level. And while our selection of sparkling Greek wines gets us pretty excited, we admit there’s also nothing like a good bottle of traditional Champagne.

It almost feels ironic that Agiorgitiko, arguably Greece’s most powerful and intense native variety, finds its home in the same region as the mighty city-state of Sparta. Agiorgtiko finds its throne in the appellation of Nemea, where it is either bottled on its own or with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon to produce luscious red blends. We would be remiss if we didn’t highlight any of the wines from Skouras, one of the region’s pioneers and a favorite of the team at Andros Taverna.
