It is the central point for visitors, transportation, exchange, and business in the northern zone. This vicinity is constantly cherished by visitors for its rich potential of tourism attractions with delightful nature, magnificent valleys, and high altitude mountains for adventures and nature lovers. However, this research seeks to make contributions to the present literature of heritage management and tourism development through exploring the rich tourism potential in Mansehra. Exploratory in nature, the study adopts a qualitative technique combining primary and secondary data analysis and scholars observation. Abstract The findings reveal that Mansehra has no longer yet been scientifically explored and developed as a tourism destination. Back to Nature School Summer Nature Study Camp 2016 Kaghan Valley Trekking Camping in Upper Kaghan Lake Saiful Muluk Lalazar Pastures Our Base Camp at Batakundi Trip to Jalkhad Take your students on an inspiring outdoor experience this summer! We provide exciting and educational adventure outings for young students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Our “Back to Nature- School Summer Nature Study Camp focuses on providing leadership training and learning opportunities that are not available in the classroom or at home. We realize that youth today are faced with many challenges in their everyday world, including peer pressure, low self-esteem, and overly busy lives. Our programmes strive to deal with these challenges by exposing young people with experiences that open their eyes to a larger world around them, and to realize that they are valuable human beings with tremendous potential. To achieve these goals, we teach students necessary skills and how to work together to successfully complete their journey in the mountains. To enhance the experience, we incorporate group and individual challenges that develop self awareness, spark significant personal growth, and build confidence. We strongly believe that the experience must be fun to be successful! In this way we make sure to give students the chance to spend quality time in the natural environment, away from their usual lives, and to have a great time! The benefits of our youth wilderness adventure programme are immeasurable. They have a significant impact not only on the students who participate, but on family and friends as well. We are always inspired by the incredible experiences we share during these journeys, these are the seeds that change lives.

l AVALANCHE HAZARD IN KAGHAN VALLEY, HIMALAYA RANGE, PAKISTAN 3 Fes de scally2 and Jim Gardner Abstract.--Avalanche hazard in Kaghan Valley, Himalaya Range, Pakistan is being investigated. Long, steep slopes and heavy winter snowfall combine to produce frequent avalanche activity. Individual paths and events attain extremely large sizes by most recognized classifications. Usual approaches to hazard investigation such as mapping of paths is made difficult by landscape alteration by centuries of intensive agricultural land use. While local inhabitants have adjusted well to avalanches, including recognition of beneficial aspects, developments by outsiders are increasing the overall levels of risk in Kaghan. INTRODUCTION Avalanches have been under study in mountain in the mountainous areas and in strategic matters ous, developed countries since, in some cases, the (with reference to the nearby Indian border). eighteenth century, primarily in response to the hazard they pose to transportation, recreation, mining and habitation. • The Higher Himalaya Crystalline Unit, Upper Kaghan Valley, Nw
Geol. Bull. Univ. Peshawar, 1991, Vol. 24, pp. 109-125 'swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland '~nstituteof Geology, Univmity of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan ABSTRACT Kaghan valley, in north Pakistan, provides at2 unparalleled cross-section of the Indian Plate in the Himalaya, with all of the tectonic units, structural features and metamorphic grades of the Indian Plate exposed in one valley. The Higher Himalaya Crystalline of the NW Himalaya, which crops out in the upper reaches of the valley, is a complex sequence of granites, gneisses, Calc-pelites, metapelites, marbles, amphibolites, quartzites and eclogites. It is bound by two major thrusts: The Main Central Thrust (MCT) to the south and the Main Mantle Thrust (MMT) to the north, which have subsequently led to the exposure of some of the deepest level rocks of the Indian plate during its collision with the Asian plate. A complex deformationnl history ofpre-, syn-, andpost- "Himalayan"age is associated with a pre- to syn- deformational upper amphibolite (kyanite to sil- limanite) to eclogite facies metamorphism which reached inplaces over 650 OC, as evidenced by minor insitu granitiza.tion. The Higher Himalaya Crystalline of Kaghan Valley is structurally posi- tioned between three major syntaxes: the Hazara - Kashmir Syntaxis (HKS), the Kaghan Syntaxis (KS) and the Nanga Pnrbat Syntuis (NPS) which are inter- preted as forming due to a change in transport direction. Between the Kaghan Syntaxis and the Nanga Pnrbat Syntaxis, the Higher Himalaya Crystalline con- sists of a polyphase, superposed folded domain which produces the Burawai syncline, the Besal anticline and synclines and other large scale features located to the south in Neelum Valley.
