Title: Master Electrician Department: Stage Crew Department Head: Master Stage Carpenter Reports to: Production Director, Technical Director Classification: Full-time Seasonal, represented by the IATSE Contract Term: 5/28/13 - 9/22/13
Basic function:
Manage, maintain, and operate performance related electrics systems and equipment to ensure the timely and accurate realization of all lighting elements for Intiman Theatre Festival’s four-play repertory theatre festival in the 446-seat, modified thrust, Cornish Playhouse at Seattle Center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Light board operator for tech rehearsals and performances Maintain the integrity of the lighting design throughout the performance period Work with Master Stage Carpenter to determine overhire needs Oversee overhire electricians during changeovers and focus Maintain and repair lighting unit inventory, dimmers, circuits, and gel stock Train swing technician as light board operator Assist in scene transitions and production changeovers as needed
Education/Skills Required:
3-5 years experience as a working electrician Experience with computer light board program and operation
Special Requirements/Knowledge:
Ability to work at heights. Agility is a plus Ability to lift 60 lbs Understanding of rigging systems
