Come back to this page over the year to find fun ideas and new activities to help inspire Beavers as they take on challenges to earn their Award. Have a BEARilliant time in your adventures! To help Beavers earn their My Adventure Challenge Award, BEAR Nibbles will be producing resources with helpful techniques and tips for Leaders and fun activity sheets for the Beavers, as well as new and inspiring activities that meet the badge requirements

The Scout Association has partnered with GO Outdoors as our Recommended Outdoor Retailer – to support all branches of with equipment, clothing and expert advice. With almost 60 stores nationwide, GO Outdoors provides our members with a vast network of support and access to over 23,000 lines, with something to suit every adventure. GO will be supporting Scouts of all ages in achieving the Hikes Away and Nights Away Staged Activity Badges, by providing downloadable resources, in-store activities and much more to prepare you for adventures!

Celebrating the new Gruffalo Explorers books, fun fact-filled nature spotter guides, The Gruffalo is partnering the Beaver My Outdoors Challenge Award, bringing clever ideas and new activities to this challenge. The Gruffalo Explorers Nature Trail books are excited to be partnering the My Outdoors Challenge Award, helping Beavers earn a badge that is all about nature and the great outdoors.

As Britain’s biggest bike retailer Halfords partner with to support the Cub Cyclist Activity badge. Halfords have not only produced some fantastic activity resources, but they are also offering Cub Groups exclusive workshops in store. Halfords partner the Cub Cyclist Activity Badge. Their Resource Pack guides leaders and Cubs through the requirements of the Badge, providing detailed instructions for Cubs on how to maintain their bike and stay safe as they begin their riding experience, as well as containing some exciting extra activities.

Hobbycraft, the UK’s leading art, craft, making and baking retailer partners the Cub Artist Activity Badges. Hobbycraft are continually working with The Scout Association to create activity books and resources designed with both leaders and young people in mind; not only to spread their passion for arts and crafts but also to make them fun, exciting and informative. Exploring the world of arts and crafts encourages young people to enjoy new experiences, use their imaginations and open their eyes to a whole new world of creativity. Activities and resources support the Cub Artist Activity Badge. They focus on the 'ABCs' of arts and crafts while offering tips and techniques to first-time crafters in a way that is tangible, encouraging and most importantly, exciting.

The UK is suffering a worrying shortfall of technicians and engineers. Domestic companies are struggling to find new recruits with the skills and practical experience. By partnering the Scout Electronics Activity Badge, The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) aims to enthuse younger generations into developing a love of engineering and technology. The thinking and problem-solving skills that are developed through scouting are exactly the sort of skills businesses and universities will be looking for further down the line. The IET have produced an activity pack designed to guide Leaders and Scouts through the requirements of the Scout Electronics Activity Badge. This pack will give Scouts an insight into how the devices and appliances that shape our lives actually work, and also gives them practical, hands-on experience of electronics

Pets at Home are one of The Scout Association's longest serving partners, supporting the Animal Carer and Beaver Scout Animal Friends badges. Pets at Home want to encourage great pet care and responsible pet ownership in young people. They choose to do this through The Scout Association because of its lengthy history in educating young people as active and responsible citizens who respect life in all its forms. Completing the Pets at Home activity pack will help Beavers and Cubs gain their Beaver Animal Friend Activity Badge and Cubs Animal Carer Activity Badge.

The RAC aims to equip every member of The Scout Association with the knowledge and skills to keep them safe on our roads and to develop as responsible road users. RAC partner the Cub Road safety Activity Badge and have produced activities and resources to support the badge as well as taking patrols out to Groups around the country and running Road Safety Awareness Champions workshops. The RAC is committed to improving road safety and reducing the number of children and young people injured or killed on our roads each year. The RAC’s Road Safety Awareness Charity partners the Cubs Road Safety Activity Badge and have produced fun activities and resources.

The Royal Air Force is delighted to be working in partnership with the Scouts and to sponsor the Air Researcher Badge as part of a strategy to inspire and enthuse young men and women about Science Technology, Engineering and Maths. Operating at the leading edge of technology and with a workforce of 31,000 of which 50% are engineers, the RAF relies on a constant inflow of talented and motivated young people to help us undertake our role as part of the UK’s Defence and as a force for good around the world. The UK is suffering from a shortfall of suitably qualified young people to fill the growing number of STEM vacancies in the Labour Market. We are especially keen to encourage young women to consider non-traditional, technical career pathways and we are working hard to help as many young people as we can to be the best they can be, in whatever specialisation they choose to follow. We are currently working with the Scouts to produce an activity pack in support of the Air Researcher badge that will give scouts insight into the world of aviation and aerospace from the birth of our organization in 1918 to our Centenary in 2018.

Rolls-Royce partner the Cub Scout Scientist Activity Badge as part of a strategy to enthuse and inspire young people about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Rolls-Royce is a global engineering company, with employees in 50 countries and customers in 150. The future success of our business depends on recruiting and developing talented young people to design and manufacture our products for the future. Rolls-Royce have created a fun and educational Cub activity pack to take the fear out of science for Cub Leaders and to guide Cubs through their Cubs Scientist Activity Badge.

Swimming Teacher’s Association https://fundraising.scouts.org.uk/sta

As an educational charity dedicated to the teaching of swimming, lifesaving and survival techniques, STA is proud to partner with The Scout Association to support the Swimmer Staged Activity Badge. This partnership provides a fantastic opportunity for STA, as part of its charitable objectives, to reach and engage with young people, and teach them about the importance of learning to swim and how to be safe in and around water – key life skills that could one day save their life. To support the five badges in the Swimmer Staged Activity Badge series, STA will be producing a host of water safety related resources. This includes a downloadable water safety booklet.

The Tesco Eat Happy Project is partnered with the Scout Association. Beavers and Cubs are invited to take part in a local fun and free Farm to Fork Trail, to gain hands-on experience learning about where food comes from. There are lots of downloadable resources too!

The UK Space Agency aims to inspire our next generation of UK scientists and engineers by partnering the Scout Astronautics Activity Badge and introducing Scouts to the exciting and growing world of space engineering and space science. The practical and problem-solving skills developed through Scouting, along with the enthusiasm for science shown by Scout Leaders, could be instrumental in encouraging this future generation of space scientists and engineers. Resources containing imaginative activities to guide your Scouts through the requirements of the Scout Astronautics Activity Badge are now available. This includes activities on rocket building, space craft modelling and learning more about space missions.

Swiss Army Knives are synonymous with Scouting, a central part of every Scout’s experience of the outdoors. Together Victorinox and The Scout Association share a commitment to ensure that young people have the information and guidance available to be able to use, maintain and care for a Swiss Army Knife, ensuring all Scouts will have the opportunity to learn responsible ownership of this outdoors kit. Victorinox are thrilled to partner the Scout Survival Skills badge, supporting a range of activities to help leaders deliver this area of the programme safely and inspire every Scout to develop their outdoor survival skills A series of resources have been developed with Victorinox and bushcraft experts. It aims to give Scouts all the information and guidance they need when working towards their Scout Survival Skills Activity Badge, including knife safety, how to build a fire and shelter from natural resources, administering emergency first aid and signalling for assistance in a survival situation.

Vodafone UK and the Vodafone Foundation are proud to be working in partnership with The Scout Association to support the Digital Maker and Digital Citizen Staged Activity Badges. Not only are we always looking for fresh ways to help enhance lives and our future through technology, but also we believe we all have a duty to ensure that the technology we have at our fingertips is used responsibly and in a sustainable way. Vodafone takes this to heart, focusing on two core principles -  Digital confidence for all: Ensuring everyone has access to technology and the confidence to use it  Digital wellbeing: Making sure the technology it provides is used to enhance the lives of individuals and families To kick off the partnership, the Scouts’ Digital Manifesto was launched in January 2016. Made up of six clear and concise goals, it has been created to help all sections use digital technology in a way that is safe, smart, creative and responsible. In their commitment to help young people become more confident and resilient online, Vodafone have helped develop the tools and resources available at digitalskills.scouts.org.uk . At this newly created site, a host of new online tools and resources to help leaders deliver the Digital Citizen and Digital Maker Staged Activity Badges can be found.

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is a world leader in wildlife conservation, science and education. ZSL are excited to be partnering with The Scout Association for the Our World Challenge Award, helping Cubs earn a badge that is all about the world we live in and how we can make a difference. ZSL have produced some fun activities for Beavers and Cubs to carry out in their own area or at the zoo. Cubs can work towards the environmental options of the Cub Our World Challenge Award.
