H Meeting of WRC Was Held on March 16-18, 20L6 Minutes of 246th WRC meeting held on March l6-18,2016 MINUTES OF THE 246tN MEETING WESTERN REGIONAL COMMITTEE, NCTE, BHOPAL The 246th meeting of WRC was held on March 16-18, 20L6. THE MEETING WAS ATTENDED BY THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS:- Dr, Louis Vernal Chairperson Chairperson for the resent meetin Prof. l.S. Subramaniam, Council Nominee expressed their inability to attend the meeting. The Representatives of States/UTs of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli could not attend the meeting' At the outset, Shri Satish Gupta, Regional Director and Convener, welcomed the Chairperson and all the members of WRC, NCTE to 246th meeting of the WRC. The Regional Director, being Convener of the WRC, presented each agenda item for consideration of the wRc. The agenda were taken up as follows:- 246.1 confirmation of the minutes of 245!h Meeting of wRC The minutes of 245th meeting are confirmed except for the following amendment: i) In case No. APP2825 (serial No, 17) the name of the institution should be read as "Pt. This vessel will become China’s second aircraft carrier. China commissioned its first carrier the Liaoning in 2012. This trial aims to demonstrate the reliability and capability of the ship’s propulsion systems. The carrier was launched in 2017. It has been undergoing fitting of weapons and other systems. It has not yet entered service. The new vessel will focus on conducting combat-ready patrols and safeguarding China’s maritime sovereignty and interests. China has developed a new jet fighter named A J-15 fighter to operate from the decks of its carriers. The new carrier has a conventional propulsion system. It will use a ramp to launch J-15 fighter jets. The ship will carry various types of helicopters. The new carrier has over 12,000 pieces of equipment. They were made by 532 Chinese enterprises. An agriculturist, Shri Patil served as the President of the Maharashtra Rajya Dudh Utpadak Sangh Kruti Samiti and was also actively associated with various social and welfare organizations. Shri Vishwasrao Ramrao Patil represented the State of Maharashtra in this House from April, 1988 to May, 1993.
