Now anyone can go to these websites to see 360-degree views of places of worship. • Our syllabus makes it quite clear that RE should be enhanced through the use of visits and visitors. The use of a virtual tour could be one way of doing this through social distancing. Using Virtual Tours • Questions to think about: • How can I use this in the classroom? • How can I use this as an online learning activity? • How could this be extended when we can visit places of worship? https://www.p4panorama.com/Gallery.aspx/hol y-land-360-virtual-reality-tour/ http://www.360tr.net/saudi-arabia/mecca-kaabe-al-masjid/ Chalky Church • After completing a virtual tour of a church ask the children to create a church and include features and explain symbolism. • Children could use materials found around the house or things found in the garden to make their own churches. Could children make labels and descriptions to go with each feature? How about providing a tour for the household? https://www.teachre.co.uk/teach-re-course/teachre-free-self-study-module/ https://www.teachre.co.uk/teach-re-course/teachre-primary/ Keeping in Touch Sessions • We are always available via email or phone for advice and support. • We are also proposing to run some zoom keeping in touch sessions for anyone who wants to chat, share ideas.
