I get that big crossover events are the bread-and-butter of the Big Two comics companies, DC and Marvel. You know, it was really great to read a basically angst-free and fun X book. Still had a few solid moments. The first seven issues: Wolverine leading his own X-Men. I hope he and Aaron work together more in the future and I will definitely look out for books with his name attached. The issues and Annual were all character-centric. Plus Aaron's still got a talent for the repartee. Oh you're mad he gets to much spotlight. But it's funny, it has great characters and good art, the plot is both unexpected and a great fit for the book, and it represents the start of what was a new direction the X-Men. Where do our graduates go from here? It's also another chance for the students to kick some ass. A great series that I'm sad to see come to an end. He even got to fight alongside the Avengers! First, I don't usually talk about the covers, but in this case I'm making a exception, because i think the cover is pretty awesome. The thing that I have enjoyed the most about Aaron's series thus far is how fun it is. This volume wraps up the lingering plotlines and even gives us a glimpse into a potential future for the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. It felt modern and nostalgic at the same time. I loved the dynamic of Wolverine and Kitty trying to play nice with the bigoted inspectors while also attempting to keep the school in one piece as things began to fall down around them.
