Or perhaps you’d like to put on your skis and race through the fresh snow? Or enjoy a powder session on a snowboard? The new Steinbergbahn cable car drops Krallerhof guests straight into the skicircus. Allow yourself to be drawn in by this fairy-tale mountain world, where winter has many different faces.

This season opens with sensational news – the new Steinbergbahn cable car is ready! This means that Leogang now has two lifts with intermediate stations, to transport people from the valley up to the Asitz mountain – and it’s the first lift in the whole skicircus which can accommodate 10 people in one cabin. The sum of money invested in this project total- led 18 million euros. This circulating, 10-person monocable lift covers a distance of 3.8 km and can transport up to 2500 people per hour. It starts just below the Krallerhof, and ends right next to the Asitzbahn cable car top station at 1760 m above sea level. This means that you, as our guest at the Krallerhof, have all the advantages of this new lift project at your front door! And this isn’t the only new thing this year: the 4-person chairlift “Polten” has been replaced by a modern 6-seater chairlift with heated seats and bubble, making the connection between Leogang and Saalbach more comfortable than ever.

In fact, the skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang offers winter sports enthusiasts truly excellent conditions. A total of 56 lifts transport skiers and snowboarders to well groomed runs and numerous deep snow slopes for all levels and abilities. Besides gentle slopes for families, there are also steep and fast runs for the more ambitious. The lifts and runs are judiciously positioned, enabling people to join the skicircus just about anywhere. Thanks to the location of the slopes, the runs around the Asitz in Leogang are well favoured and guarantee pure skiing and snowboarding fun. Skiszene Altenberger has repeatedly won the Salzburg county ski school tournament in recent years. The first ever ski school in Leogang, it has now been operating for 60 years. Our largest suite extends over two floors with a mezzanine, and is therefore ideally suited to families with several children. It is distinguished by gilded walls, rosewood floors and numerous exquisite details, as well as specially-designed items of furniture, created by artist Ty Waltinger for this luxury suite. Gold Suite Murals using old Indian yellow, Madder red, Terra di Pozzuoli dating back to around 1910, and 24-carat gold leaf are among the special features of this suite.

It is equipped with artful lighting objects and state-of-the-art LED lighting systems. This suite literally gleams, thanks to coloured glass bricks and carefully selected glass tiles by Trend-Bisazza in the bathroom and toilet.

The lower level includes the bedroom with double bed, a separate living room with open fireplace, and the large bathroom is fitted out with whirlpool bath, separate shower and 2 washbasins. There is separate access to the WC and bidet. This suite also has its own herbal sauna (55°C). Silver Suite The upper level has a separate children’s room with 2 single beds and a sofabed, a hall and an additional bathroom with shower, 1 washbasin and WC. The standard fitting includes a TV/DVD player in the living/sleeping room, TV in the children’s room, as well as 2 separate balconies.
