Research Experience Summer 2020 Intern, Facebook AI Research, Seattle, WA (Remote). Mentor: Ross Girshick. Worked on long-tail, large-vocabulary detection, collaborating with Alex Kirillov and Piotr Dollár. Summer 2017 Intern, Cloud, Sunnyvale, CA. Mentors: Prof. Juan Carlos Niebles, Prof. Fei-Fei Li. Worked on improving training of deep networks from streaming, correlated data, as opposed to the standard i.i.d. setting. 2014–2015 Research Assistant, UC Berkeley, Berkeley, CA. Mentors: Prof. Alexei Efros and Stella Yu. Worked on unsupervised mining of audiovisual consistencies from online videos; e.g. can we discover what animal meows, or what sound a violin makes from unlabeled videos?

Page 2 of 3 Summer 2015 Intern, Google Research, Mountain View, CA. Mentor: Sourish Chaudhuri Worked on improvements to undergraduate work on unsupervised mining of audiovisual consistencies. Work was patented in 2019. Summer 2014 Intern, Google Research, Mountain View, CA. Mentors: Rahul Garg, Navneet Dalal Trained deep models for real-time pose estimation and tracking in videos. Summer 2013 Intern, Flutter, Mountain View, CA. Mentor: Navneet Dalal Worked on estimating and improving rotational invariance of hand-based gesture detectors from webcams.
