Julius O. Ebinu, M.D., Ph.D.
Philosophy of Care My clinical practice highlights a patient-centered approach to managing numerous spinal and brain disorders with an emphasis on state-of-the-art computer-guided technologies, stereotactic radiosurgery, and minimally invasive techniques to improve patient outcomes and maximize the safety of surgery. In accordance with the UC Davis tradition of excellence, my main focus is providing comprehensive and high-quality patient care, and in having a global impact on the treatment of neurosurgical disorders through outstanding research, innovation, and leadership. I am excited to be a part of this group and to work alongside world-renowned faculty members who are among the top in their field. I look forward to incorporating my diverse skill set, especially in minimally invasive surgery, to serve and provide excellent care to patients of this community.
Clinical Interests Dr. Ebinu is a dual-fellowship trained spine and skull base/neuro-oncology neurosurgeon whose clinical practice highlights a patient-centered approach to managing numerous brain and spinal disorders with an empasis on state-of-the-art computer-guided technologies, stereotactic radiosurgery, and minimally invasive techniques to improve patient outcomes and maximize the safety of surgery. Dr. Ebinu has expertise in the treatment of a variety of disorders, including spinal cord tumors, total disc replacement, spinal deformity and reconstruction, and spinal cord traumatic injuries.
Research/Academic Interests Dr. Ebinu's research interests include understanding the biology and treatment of brain and spinal cord tumors, and identifying the mechanisms of functional recovery in spinal cord injury. He is also interested in studying the use of minimally invasive techniques to treat various spine disorders to improve patient outcomes and minimize surgical morbidity, especially in elderly patients. Stem cell research is anther interest area.
