Other supplies you need:

• F hook • Polyfil • Stitch marker • Tapestry needle • Scissors • White felt • Black felt • Blue felt • Your favorite method for adding color directly to the yarn: chalks, fabric markers, acrylic paint, etc. • Fabric glue OR thread and needle (for attaching felt)

Kirby

Body (pink) ROWS TOTAL STITCHES 0. MR 5, or Ch2, 5sc in 2nd st from hook 5 1. 2sc in each st around 10 2. 2sc in each st around 20 3. (Sc next 3, 2sc next) x5 25 4. (Sc next 4, 2sc next) x5 30 5. (Sc next 5, 2sc next) x5 35 6. (Sc next 6, 2sc next) x5 40 7. (Sc next 7, 2sc next) x5 45 8-14. Sc around for 7 rows 45 for 7 rows 15. (Sc next 7, sc2tog) x5 40 16. (Sc next 6, sc2tog) x5 35 17. Add any last stuffing as needed. Weave tail through stitches and pull tight to close, then weave in ends.

Feet (red, make 2): The feet are worked up one side of the foundation chain and down the other.

F/O and leave tail for sewing To finish off the feet, you can either leave them with a hole or weave the tail through and pull closed, preserving the remainder of the tail for sewing the foot to the body. If you're planning to place the feet under the body in a standard "standing" pose, you will probably find it easier to leave the opening.

Track down your chalks / fabric markers / Add blush to the cheeks and "transitional" acrylic paints (these are my chalks, by black below the tips of the ears Pebbles)
