2018-2019 Annual Report 2018-2019 Annual Report CYO CAMP RANCHO FRAMASA ANNUAL REPORT We Are Grateful Located in the beautiful hills of Brown County, CYO Camp Rancho Framasa is owned by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and operated by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Originally established in 1946 as a summer camp for youth, Camp Rancho Framasa has developed into a year-round facility that provides an overnight camping experience for up to 250 children each week during the summer months and retreats, leadership courses and outdoor education programs throughout the school year for thousands of youth and adults. Families enjoy Family Camp Weekends, Mother Daughter Weekends and Father Son Campouts during the spring and fall as well. Through the support of donors, the archdiocese and several organizations that have provided funding through grants over the years, CYO Camp is able to offer opportunities for fellowship within the unique setting of a Catholic camp. We are fortunate that those who came before us saw the importance of establishing a place for all of us to experience God through nature. It is our privilege to manage that which has been entrusted to us, and through prudent stewardship and planning, we look forward to continuing to provide for generations to come. Weisenbach CYO CAMP RANCHO FRAMASA ANNUAL REPORT Dear Friends, Catholic Youth Organization Camp Rancho Framasa welcomes youth, families and groups to an inclusive environment to hear God’s voice and to seek the Holy Spirit while surrounded by the beauty of nature. At CYO Camp, we are committed to enhancing the spiritual and emotional development of children and adults through experiences in the outdoors. Each one of our programs is designed to incorporate the teachings of the Catholic Church. Love and respect for one another, kindness and humility are the foundational tenants of our activities. The staff of CYO Camp Rancho Framasa minister to attendees based upon a philosophy rooted in six core values: Catholic, Inclusive, Camper Centered, Humility, Staff Development, Stewards of the Earth. This camp would not exist without the support of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and you, our wonderful donors. We are grateful to you for your commitment to this organization.     UNCLASSIFIED LAW ENFORCEMENT SEN Texas Public Safety Threat Overview A State Intelligence Estimate Produced by the Texas Department of Public Safety In collaboration with other law enforcement and homeland security agencies January 2017 1 UNCLASSIFIED UNCLASSIFIED Executive Summary (U) Texas faces the full spectrum of threats, and the state’s vast size, geography, and large population present unique challenges to public safety and homeland security. Texas employs a systematic approach to detect, assess, and prioritize public safety threats within seven categories: terrorism, crime, motor vehicle crashes, natural disasters, public health threats, industrial accidents, and cyber threats. (U) Due to the recent actions of lone offenders or small groups affiliated with or inspired by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and other foreign terrorist organizations, we assess that the current terrorism threat to Texas is elevated. We recognize that ISIS has had considerable success in inspiring and inciting lone offenders to attack targets in the United States and other Western countries using simple yet effective tactics that are difficult to detect and disrupt. We expect this heightened threat to persist over at least the next year, due in part to the relatively high number of recent terrorism-related arrests and thwarted plots inside the US, and the prevalence and effectiveness of ISIS’s online recruitment and incitement messaging, as the organization is slowly defeated on the battlefield. We are especially concerned about the potential for terrorist infiltration across the US-Mexico border, particularly as foreign terrorist fighters depart Syria and Iraq and enter global migration flows.     Summary of Sexual Abuse Claims in Chapter 11 Cases of Boy Scouts of America There are approximately 101,135sexual abuse claims filed. Of those claims, the Tort Claimants’ Committee estimates that there are approximately 83,807 unique claims if the amended and superseded and multiple claims filed on account of the same survivor are removed. The summary of sexual abuse claims below uses the set of 83,807 of claim for purposes of claims summary below.1 The Tort Claimants’ Committee has broken down the sexual abuse claims in various categories for the purpose of disclosing where and when the sexual abuse claims arose and the identity of certain of the parties that are implicated in the alleged sexual abuse. Attached hereto as Exhibit 1 is a chart that shows the sexual abuse claims broken down by the year in which they first arose. Please note that there approximately 10,500 claims did not provide a date for when the sexual abuse occurred. As a result, those claims have not been assigned a year in which the abuse first arose. Attached hereto as Exhibit 2 is a chart that shows the claims broken down by the state or jurisdiction in which they arose. Please note there are approximately 7,186 claims that did not provide a location of abuse. Those claims are reflected by YY or ZZ in the codes used to identify the applicable state or jurisdiction. Those claims have not been assigned a state or other jurisdiction. Attached hereto as Exhibit 3 is a chart that shows the claims broken down by the Local Council implicated in the sexual abuse.
