Donald C. Sharp threatened to burn down his ex-girlfriend’s residence, according to what Sharp’s former girlfriend told sheriff’s deputies Sept. 19. On that Friday night, neighbors extin- guished a fire in a house trailer and then report- ed the fire to the Sheriff’s Office, an earlier sheriff’s report stated. At that time authorities asked the public for help in locating Sharp. From an anonymous tip at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, deputies arrived at a Turner Road residence in search of Sharp, the Sheriff’s Office stated. On foot, Sharp then ran from deputies Wednesday evening. When deputies arrested Sharp they found a fixed-blade knife and a meth pipe in his pos- session, the report stated. The Sheriff’s Office thanks, “members of the public who provided deputies information which eventually led to the arrest in this inves- tigation.”
