The exhibition showcased “The World of Tomorrow,” as imagined by some of the great Oct. 26 - Scary Trains for visionaries of the 20th Century. Art-Moderne architecture and Halloween streamlined products were in abundance at the Fair. Nord, a vital member of TCA Western. Bob served as Recording Secretary, Newsletter Editor and Vice-President for many years. He died of heart failure. Bob was just 59 years old. At our February meet, we remembered Bob. Those of us who knew him well will miss a fine friend and an enthusiastic supporter of TCA Western Division. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Type to enter text National Convention just 3 months away! If you’ve never attended a TCA National Convention before, here’s your chance! Albuquerque is only an 11 hour drive from Arcadia, or an even shorter flight. The Convention Hotel is located in beautiful Old Town Albuquerque. There are many tours to choose from, including the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad, the Nuclear Science Museum, an aerial tram, hot air balloon, and lots of great toy train layouts. Type to enter text Dave Otth Returns to the April 27th Meet Because you demanded it, Dave Otth will be back at our Meet on Saturday, April 27, 2019, to show Ellery Queen: “The Adventure of the Eccentric Engineer.” The program first aired on NBC-TV on January 18, 1976. Dave designed & supervised the incredible LIONEL TRAIN layout. Mr. Otth will provide some behind-the-scenes stories on the all-star cast and how the many memorable train scenes were captured. We plan to have flawless picture & sound on our big-screen ED MCMAHON STARS IN ELLERY QUEEN: “THE video projector. Arrive by 11AM and see it ALL! ADVENTURE OF THE ECCENTRIC ENGINEER”.
