STYLE GUIDE of the FUTURE FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD 2020 PROGRAM 2020 (June 2020) BE PART of IT ©EVI SOFIANOU /FRANKFURTSTYLEAWARD 2019/20 We are hoping to see the world change. But we had to face the facts. It would not change on its own. The new guiding theme is well reflected and based on the challenges and opportunities arising from transformation processes, digitalization, migration and environmental developments. STYLE GUIDE OF THE FUTURE FRANKFURT STYLE AWARD 2020 PROGRAM 2020 (June 2020) BE PART OF IT find out more_www.frankfurtstyleaward.com The FRANKfurtstyleaward is ready for its 12th edition! The world, nations and societies have always been in a process of change. Culture and conventions have changed, bans have been abolished and new paradigms have defined the rules of coeXistence. Fashion is the medium that reflects these transformations. Today, change is more necessary than ever. And should it not develop faster than ever before, when the environment, values and new rules of coeXistence are at stake? In line with the motto BENEFITS of CHANGE the FRANKfurtstyleaward invites more than 1000 fashion schools worldwide and opens the competition to some 600 finalists of the past years as well as master classes and newcomer designers with own labels to apply for this well-established worldwide competition for young fashion and design talents. After having had France, Italy, China, the USA and Africa as partner countries in the past years, Canada is in the focus for 2020. We started the 12th Call for Entry for the international fashion & design award FRANKfurtstyleaward under the motto BENEFITS of CHANGE in December 2019 – before the outbreak of the corona pandemic. Until the deadline for submissions at the end of February, climate change and environmental protection were still the main focus. Despite all the restrictions we have to accept, we feel obliged to present the talented young international designers who have applied for the FRANKfurtstylaward 2020. More than ever, these young people deserve to have their creative messages listened to. Due to the Corona pandemic, the consumer goods fair Tendence, which was to take place from 27 to 30 June 2020, was cancelled. Therefore, the award ceremony with FRANK® - THE TROPHY – the highest distinction of this competition – will take place under the motto "FRANKfurtstyleaward goes Digital" in the form of a digital hybrid Finale Show at the Airport Club Frankfurt on 27 June 2020 from 14.00 hrs. to 16.00 hrs. The FRANKfurtstyleaward is a globally accepted institution and a worldwide career platform for young design talents. Moreover, it is a recognized stage that allows industry and retail to gain insights into the values and style preferences of the neXt generations. It serves as a trend barometer for the future and hence gives industry and trade valuable impulses for the innovations and markets of the future. The FRANKfurtstyleaward is the ”Style Guide of the Future” and provides orientation for industry, retailers and consumers. The main prizes from our sponsors amui.space, Staiy and MyFashionary make the career platform even more valuable for young fashion designers. The FRANKfurtstyleaward Roadshow of the TOP60 COLLECTION with its sponsors and active supporters has been developed as an active marketplace and stage. It is the international career platform, and “incubator” for newcomers in fashion and design. The mission of the FRANKfurtstyleaward is innovation and sustainability! Call for Entry The world, nations and societies have always been in a process of change. How can fashion reconfigure the setting of your life? It is time for BENEFITS of CHANGE! ©EVI SOFIANOU /FRANKFURTSTYLEAWARD 2019/20 Choose your favorite category: Category 1: Create your Revolution If you want to change the world, start with yourself. With what you wear individually on the body, you set new priorities. Create your own fashion revolution, because every revolution has had humble beginnings. Category 2: Explore Cradle to Cradle Cradle to cradle – creating cycles – is the philosophy of our time. Create something new from something that eXists already. Integrate the used material, object or fabric and let it tell its story. Category 3: Dream your Dreams Duality – who says that reality and fantasy are separate worlds? Accept parallel spaces and many realities that are still unconscious. Where do we feel more than we know? This is your playground for the unthought, the unseen and whatever eXists “only” in your fantasy. Let enchantment become a mode in which the change and its benefits and our ideas of a better world are already visible. • Lesser Feasts and Fasts 2018
Lesser Feasts and Fasts 2018 Conforming to General Convention 2018 1 Preface Christians have since ancient times honored men and women whose lives represent heroic commitment to Christ and who have borne witness to their faith even at the cost of their lives. Such witnesses, by the grace of God, live in every age. The criteria used in the selection of those to be commemorated in the Episcopal Church are set out below and represent a growing consensus among provinces of the Anglican Communion also engaged in enriching their calendars. What we celebrate in the lives of the saints is the presence of Christ expressing itself in and through particular lives lived in the midst of specific historical circumstances. In the saints we are not dealing primarily with absolutes of perfection but human lives, in all their diversity, open to the motions of the Holy Spirit. Many a holy life, when carefully examined, will reveal flaws or the bias of a particular moment in history or ecclesial perspective. It should encourage us to realize that the saints, like us, are first and foremost redeemed sinners in whom the risen Christ’s words to St. Paul come to fulfillment, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” The “lesser feasts” provide opportunities for optional observance. They are not intended to replace the fundamental celebration of Sunday and major Holy Days. As the Standing Liturgical Commission and the General Convention add or delete names from the calendar, successive editions of this volume will be published, each edition bearing in the title the date of the General Convention to which it is a response.

A systems approach to problem finding, framing, and solving is applied to explore how we might increase fashion reuse behaviours amongst consumers and industry alike. This research includes an analysis of the key barriers that prevent higher rates of participation in fashion reuse despite the potential economic, environmental, and social benefits of doing so (Part 2), and identifies areas of opportunity to focus innovation (Part 3). Research methodology included more than 30 one-on-one consumer interviews, 20 interviews with industry professionals along the fashion value chain, and an extensive environmental scan with a particular focus on the Canadian market.

  • Ideologies of Honorific Language
Pragmatics2:3.25 l -262 InternationalPrasmatics Association IDEOLOGIES OF HONORIFIC LANGUAGE Judith T. Irvine 1. Introductionr All sociolinguisticsystems, presumably, provide some meansof expressingrespect (or disrespect);but only some systems have grammaticalized honorifics. This paper comparesseveral languages - Javanese,Wolof, and Zulu, plus a glance at ChiBemba - with regard to honorific expressionsand the social and cultural frameworks relevant thereto.2The main questionto be exploredis whether one can identiff any special cultural concomitants of linguistic systems in which the expression of respect is grammaticalized. Javanese"language levels" are a classicand well-describedexample of a system for the expressionof respect. In the sensein which I shall define "grammaticalized honorifics,"Javanese provides an apt illustration.Wolof, on the other hand, does not. Of course,Javanese is only one of several Asian languageswell known for honorific constructions, while Wolof, spokenin Senegal, comes from another part of the globe. But the presence or absence of honorifics is not an area characteristic of Asian languagesas opposed to African languages. As we shall see, Zulu has a system of lexicalalternates bearing a certain typological resemblanceto the Javanesesystem. Moreover, many other Bantu languages(such as ChiBemba) also have grammaticalized honorifics, but in the morphology rather than in the lexicon. Focusing on social structure instead of on geographical area, one might hypothesizethat grammaticalized honorifics occur where there are royal courts (Wenger1982) and in societieswhose traditions emphasize social rank and precedence. Honorificswould be a linguisticmeans of expressingconventionalized differences of rank. The languagesI shall comparewill make it evident, however, that a hypothesis causallylinking honorifics with court life or with entrenchedclass differences cannot be 1 An earlierversion of this paperwas presentedat a sessionon "Languageldeology" at the 1991annual meeting of the AmericanAnthropological Association.

  • Taylor & Francis Reference Style C
Taylor & Francis Reference Style C CSE Name-Year CSE citations are widely used for scientific journals and are based on international principles adopted by the National Library of Medicine. There are three major systems for referring to a reference within the text. This one is the name-year system, where in-text references consist of the surname of the author or authors and the year of publication of the document. There are several advantages of this system. It is easier to add and delete references. Authors are recognized in the text, and the date provided with the author name may provide useful information for the reader. Also, since the reference list is arranged alphabetically by author, it is easy to locate works by specific authors. The main disadvantage of this system relates to the numerous rules that must be followed to form an in-text reference. Also, long strings of in-text references interrupt the text and may be irritating to the reader. This guide is based on Scientific Style and Format: The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, 7th edition, 2006. Note that examples in the CSE manual follow the citation-name system, so need to be converted if you are using the name-year system. EndNote for Windows and Macintosh is a valuable all-in-one tool used by researchers, scholarly writers, and students to search online bibliographic databases, organize their references, and create bibliographies instantly. There is now an EndNote output style available if you have access to the software in your library (please visit http://www.endnote.com/support/enstyles.asp and look for TF-C CSE Name-Year).
