© 2016 Joachim Claes 2 Dedicated to all the messengers of the Field Paradigm throughout history… …who have been brave enough to try to tell us we are far bigger, far more beautiful and far more powerful than we could imagine in our wildest dreams. There are far more such messengers than you’d think… 3 Table of contents Foreword: It’s a kind of Magic Part 1: The Field Paradigm at a glance - Meeting the president - The Field paradigm… How it works, how we lost it, and rediscovered it - Rediscovering our true selves - The Field Effect Part 2:The Field Paradigm as a new scientific reality - The Field Paradigm rediscovered in Physics - Everyday examples of connectedness in nature - The Science of Miracles… How paranormal experiences start to make sense - Eternal life: The ultimate challenge to the Machine paradigm - The law of action and reaction from a Field Paradigm perspective Part 3: Using the Field paradigm - The too good to be true problem - Changing lives - 20 experiments that will change the world - 5 ways to make it happen…at virtually zero cost - Why we have good reason to hope Part 4: Will you keep this a secret? Appendix: 15 more experiments that will change the world 4 Foreword: It’s a kind of magic Have you ever experienced magic? I am aware that this is probably a strange sentence to open what is really a very scientific book, but bear with me. Did you ever have magic in your life? Not the David Copperfield stuff…the real thing Here are some things I’d define as “magic”: - Dreaming that something happened to a loved one, and something actually happened. - Thinking about a friend you haven’t spoken to in years and the next day he/she calls you. - Having a strong feeling you have to do something, even if you can’t explain why…and it turns out to be the perfect decision. And the ultimate one: - Desiring something from the bottom of your heart and then watching events around you being "organized" for the desire to be fulfilled. I define such experiences as “magic" because they would indicate some kind of connection between our inner thoughts and outside events… …Unless it was a coincidence. We learned in school that there is no such thing as a connection between our mind and our outer world. We are clearly isolated objects (that are somehow thinking thoughts), walking around in a world full of other isolated objects. As such any experience of some kind of connection is impossible. So…Coincidence…the one single word that kills all magic. It would have to be a coincidence, right? Otherwise, what is the alternative? That everything we’ve ever learned about the nature of our universe is wrong??? If it was not a coincidence then this means there must be some kind of invisible field that connects our inner thoughts with outside events in our world. Not only that, but this field must cause both our inner thoughts and the outside events, otherwise they couldn’t be connected. That sounds like a pretty deep rabbit hole…something so complicated that it’s simply easier to put it down to coincidence. And that’s pretty much what we’ve been doing for thousands of years. But what if it turns out to be not that complicated at all? What if all it takes is a slightly different perspective on things and a few simple steps of logic, and then suddenly a lot more things start to make a lot more sense. And I’m not just talking about the magical events. Suddenly we get very 5 simple answers for a lot of complicated questions that have dazzled philosophers for thousands of years, questions about life, love, God, and what the heck we’re all doing here. In my life I’ve had so many of these magical experiences that it was obvious it was not a coincidence, and it seems like I’m not alone. Some years ago, a survey showed that 67% of the population has had an experience that showed some kind of connection between their thoughts and their environment (usually defined as “psychic” experience, where people clearly felt it could not have been a coincidence). So 15 years ago I started looking for answers, trying to formulate this “new perspective” in a way that is so simple that anyone can easily understand it. It has taken me 15 years, and more than 20 rewrites of this book before I got to a point where it was simple enough. So now it’s just a matter of taking a journey…It won’t even be that long. After just a few pages you’ll already start to see that a lot of things will start to make a lot more sense. As we start to dig deeper, into more detail, you’ll see that everything will fall into place more and more. Why should you take that journey? Well, to answer that one let’s ask another question: “Is your life completely devoid of any magic?” You live life the way you're supposed to. You don't believe in all this magic mumbo-jumbo, and just focus on getting a good job, buying a nice house and a nice car, and getting the kids through college. Well done… And are you satisfied? And I mean fully satisfied…full of joy every minute of the day? I’m willing to bet you don’t even believe that’s possible. I can assure you: most people do not feel fully satisfied. Even if they lived life the way they were supposed to, and have all the material things they want, they still feel that something is missing. They feel there must be something more, but can’t grasp it. Different people express that desire for “something more” in different ways, some people want more money, a bigger house, a bigger car, others want more love, more happiness, or more spirituality, a desire to be a part of something bigger. Meanwhile their intellect tells them to shut up. We should be happy with what we have. So many others have much less than what we have, after all. But that inner desire for more can’t be silenced so easily. So the fight between feeling and intellect starts, a fight that could even lead extremely wealthy people to severe depressions. This book will hopefully help to end this fight, because you’ll realise that the feeling is right, and the intellect is wrong. It’s our education that has been leading us in the wrong direction. 6 We have been educated to see our universe full of material objects, built up from small material balls called atoms. Like this everything is separate from each other. This is how we see things, and what we believe is our reality...What you see is what you get. There is nothing more. The problem is that view is completely outdated. Physics has already showed us 100 years ago that this idea of separation is an illusion. In reality every atomic particle is not a little ball as we imagined it, but a local vibration on an omnipresent field that connects everything to everything else. As a result every person, animal, plant, every event and even every thought is part of one giant invisible energy web, one universal field. Physicists now have mathematical formulas to describe this field (we largely have Einstein to thank for that one). Don’t worry, we won’t go into these formulas themselves. This is not a physics book. Rather, we’ll look at the implications, implications that have been largely ignored because they simply didn’t make sense. With just a few simple steps of logic we’ll discover that this field that is now described in physics must, by definition, have properties of consciousness. This field is “alive”, in other words. It is the source of all life. Some people call this field “God”, a higher universal being that controls everything, but that immediately brings all kinds of limitations: A personality that favors some populations over others to name but one. The field we’re talking about here is an impersonal force, rather than a personal being. I always felt that the description of “The Force” in George Lucas’ original Star Wars films was a much better description of what I’m talking about here than any description from our religions. Here’s how Yoda described “the Force” in The empire strikes back ‘My ally…is the Force And a powerful ally it is Life creates it…makes it grow Its energy surrounds us…and binds us Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter You must feel the Force, around you Between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere’ Of course this is science fiction, but what if a wide range of experiments are now revealing that this Force turns out to be a lot more science than fiction. What if this Force was real, and what if it is possible for us to “feel the Force”? Here’s an even bigger secret: What if the real reason why the mind is always looking for more, is because the mind is really looking for this experience, the experience of being one with everything? What if it simply won’t be satisfied (no matter how much “stuff” we have) until it has this experience? In part one of this book we’ll discuss a new hypothesis about human consciousness that would make us much bigger, much more powerful, and much more beautiful than we ever imagined.
