Welcome to ! Upon individual arrivals into Israel, transfer to the hotel in Jerusalem. This evening, the mission will commence with cocktails followed by dinner at the Mamilla Hotel’s rooftop brasserie, which offers stunning views of Jerusalem’s Old City. Following a delicious Israeli breakfast at the hotel, depart for a walking tour

Old City of Jerusalem through the Old City of Jerusalem. Begin at the Mount of Olives, which provides a spectacular view of the city to the west and of the desert to the east.

Continue to the City of David, the actual location of the Biblical City of Jerusalem captured by King David over 3,000 years ago. See the world’s most significant archeological finds from the Biblical Period, evidence of the more than 3,000 year-long Jewish presence in the city.

Cardo Continue on a trek through Hezekiah’s Tunnel the 1,500 ft. long water tunnel created by King Hezekiah in 701 BCE to protect Jerusalem’s water source, the Gihon Spring, from the invading Assyrians.

Next, stop at the Tomb of King David before proceeding to the Western Wall, the last remaining retaining wall that enclosed the Temple Mount in the Second Temple Period. Continue to the Southern Wall Excavations to see the original Hezekiah’s Tunnel steps that lead to the Temple Mount. Afterward, take an exciting tour through the Western Wall Tunnels, an incredible labyrinth of tunnels, arches and passageways that expose Jerusalem’s rich history, archeology and topography.

Enjoy a traditional Israeli lunch of falafel and pita before taking a stroll down the Cardo, Jerusalem’s main street more than 2,000 years ago. Spend the remainder of the afternoon seeing important sites such as the Hurva

Arab Market Synagogue and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to be the location

Later this afternoon, return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat. Early this evening, head to the Kotel for Kabbalat Shabbat. Tonight, enjoy Shabbat dinner at the hotel with an invited guest speaker who represents and supports

Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel the community.

Today is at leisure in honor of Shabbat. Optional activities include attending Shabbat services, relaxing at the hotel, exploring Jerusalem on your own or participating in a day trip to Masada and the Dead Sea. Masada

The day trip to Masada and the Dead Sea will depart the hotel in the morning and drive via the Judean Hills along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on Earth. Continue to Masada, the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. Learn about the history story of the Jewish fighters before taking a cable car ride (or hiking) to the top of the Herodian Palace Complex. Tour the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogues, water cisterns, mosaic floors and Roman baths.

Descend the mountain to the depths of Dead Sea. Take a swim in the buoyant Dead Sea waters of the Dead Sea or simply relax at the beach. Return to Jerusalem early this evening.

Tonight will be at leisure, providing an opportunity to enjoy Jerusalem’s restaurants and nightlife at your own pace. Consider a stroll down Ben Yehuda Street, Jerusalem’s open-air pedestrian mall filled with cafes, shops and the sounds of musicians playing their instruments on the street.

Today begins with an emotional visit to Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum & Memorial. A sprawling complex of tree-studded walkways to museums, exhibits, archives, and memorials, Yad Vashem tells the story of the Holocaust from a uniquely Jewish perspective, emphasizing the experiences of victims

Yad Vashem through original artifacts, survivor testimonies & personal possessions.

Afterward, take a private tour of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament building, before an exclusive meeting with select Members of Knesset.

Proceed to the colorful Mahene Yehuda Market and enjoy free time to explore the market and enjoy lunch on your own. Wander through each stall and make sure to sample some of the local spices, taste the fresh produce, stop at the Mahene Yehuda Market nearby butcher stand, meet the local fishmonger and visit the Basher Fromagerie to try some of the famous cheeses from around the world.

This afternoon, visit Ammunition Hill, site of the famous Six-Day War battle. Walk through the battleground and bunkers on a tour that follows the footsteps of the soldiers who fought here. See the new “Seam-Line” multimedia show about the Six-Day War and reunification of Jerusalem. End at JNF’s Wall of Ammunition Hill Honor, honoring Jewish veterans from around the world.

This evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Afterward, take the Festival of Lights Walking Tour and see the light , fire shows, music and art installations that illuminate Jerusalem at night.

Following breakfast and hotel check-out, drive south toward the Negev. Along the way, stop in Lahav Forest for a visit to the AIDS Memorial Forest Grove. Plant a tree with your own hands and contribute to the ongoing afforestation efforts in Israel.

Planting a Tree Continue to Be’er Sheva, the capital of the Negev. Visit the Be’er Sheva River Park, the centerpiece of JNF’s efforts to provide a renaissance for the city and to turn the Negev into an attractive place for a new generation of Israelis to call home. Learn how this innovative urban renewal project is becoming an anchor for tourism and commerce and transforming Be’er Sheva into a green, vibrant, modern city.

During a tour, see several new updates to the project including the new Be’er Sheva River Park Abraham’s Well Visitor Center, which showcases the life of the patriarch Abraham.

Continue to Sde Boker, former home of David Ben Gurion, Israel’s first Prime Minister and visionary for developing the Negev. Take in some of the stunning views and stop at Ben Gurion’s grave before continuing to the nearby Sde Boker Winery for a delicious lunch and special wine tasting.

Winery Later this afternoon, continue south to Mitzpe Ramon and check into the spectacular Beresheet Hotel. Situated on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Ramon Crater, the hotel offers breathtaking views of this unique geological phenomenon.

This morning, join an archeology expert on an exciting jeep ride through the Ramon Crater and discover the colorful landscapes and hidden treasures that this natural phenomenon has to offer.

Inside the Ramon Crater Continue on the jeeps along the ancient Nabatean Spice Route and experience the same breathtaking views and sights as the ancient merchants who traveled along the same route thousands of years ago.

Afterward, proceed to the Ramon Air Force Base. Join officers and pilots on a tour of JNF’s Essence of Life Project and Wetlands Solution Project and learn how this unique system of constructed wetlands purifies the base’s wastewater. Afterward, join IDF soldiers, pilots and officers for lunch at the base. Pending confirmation, hear from a high-ranking IDF official and top security expert.

Remains along the Spice Route Later this afternoon, return to the hotel with time to rest, relax or indulge in an optional treatment at the hotel spa*.

Following breakfast and hotel checkout begin the drive toward the center of the country. Along the way, visit the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center, the largest indoor playground in Israel. This fortified facility provides Sderot’s youth with a safe, secure place to have fun and simply be children. Meet with

Sderot Indoor Recreation Center local residents to understand how this indoor playground has improved the quality of daily life.

Following lunch, continue to the Ayalon Institute, a secret bullet factory established by the Haganah in 1945. As the largest bullet factory during that time, it produced 2.25 million bullets from 1946 – 1948, completely in secret.

Early this morning, everyone is invited to join optional yoga class on the beach. Following breakfast, head north and drive along the scenic coastal route. Along the way, stop in Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region. See the excavations of the Crusader’s city, the aqueduct and the amphitheater that has been restored as a concert venue. Continue to Zichron Ya’acov, a town rich with Zionist history. Take a stroll through the town’s cobblestone streets and learn about Baron Edmond de Rothschild’s vision for one of the first Jewish settlements in Israel.

Not only is Zichron Ya’acov a town rich in history, but it is also known as the “Napa Valley” of Israel and is home to several world famous wineries. Enjoy

lunch at the Tishbi Winery’s restaurant overlooking part of the Tishbi Estate Wine tasting and lunch vineyards. Dine on local including fresh vegetables, homemade bread and fresh cheeses from the nearby Yaakob and Meiri Dairy farms, and taste some of the spectacular wines produced here.

Afterward, drive through the Carmel Forest, which was all but destroyed from the 2010 forest fires that burned more than 5 million trees across 12,500 acres of woodlands and planted forests. An Israeli Fire Fighter will share his personal experience of fighting the deadliest forest fire in Israel’s history.

Israeli Fire Fighter Continue to the Ein Hod Artist Colony, a quaint artist’s village filled with galleries, museums and restaurants. Explore the artist colony and all of the local galleries before stopping at the new JNF-KKL Park that has helped to restore the region following the devastating Carmel Forest Fires.

Early this evening, return to Tel Aviv. Enjoy a special closing dinner at a local restaurant before transferring to the airport for return flights to the USA.

Early this morning, everyone is invited to join optional yoga class on the beach.

Following breakfast, spend the day on your own. Consider taking a walking tour through some of Tel Aviv’s neighborhoods and shopping areas. Walk down the famous Rothschild Boulevard and stroll through the stalls in the Carmel

Carmel Market Market. Next, explore some of Tel Aviv’s best shopping areas. Start at the enormous market, Nahalat Binyamin and continue to Tel Aviv’s own Soho, Shenkin Street. End the afternoon in the trendy neighborhood of Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv’s first neighborhood, built in 1909.

Around noon, the official commencement of Tel Aviv Pride festivities will take place in Meir Park. Spend the afternoon watching the parade and enjoying the various activities that Pride offers.

Later this afternoon, consider sitting an outdoor café on the Tel Aviv Promenade to watch (or participate) as Israelis and tourists come together for some festive folk dancing.
