This strong presence is a good illustration of the ambition for strategic partnership that has existed between France and Australia since 2012, ratified in the naval domain on April 26th 2016, when the French proposal for the replacement of 12 Collins submarines was selected, a contract that will link our countries for the next fifty years. Since the first visit of a French president to Australia in November 2014, and now the Australian Prime Minister’s visit to France in June 2017, our two countries have clearly demonstrated their joint determination to expand their bilateral, diplomatic, military, scientific and industrial cooperation. This French-Australian cooperation is based in particular on international and regional commitment to security and stability in the Pacific and throughout the world. “We share common interests with Australia in the Asia-Pacific region: defending the law of the sea and regional security”, explained Mrs Florence Parley, French Minister of Defence. French presence in the Pacific fosters regular contact between our two countries’ armies, and partnerships between universities and research development are also on the rise; which is of particular merit. In industrial terms, arms contracts between French businesses and the Australian armed forces testify to the mutual relationship of trust, reflected in the establishment of French businesses in Australia and the acquisition of French military equipment by Australian armies. Elements that contribute to the implementation of our Navy’s submarines are being built in Australia, while French technologies are an integral part of the “sovereignty challenge” represented by the acquisition of Australian submarines. Our two countries therefore trust each other in respect to the essential, sensitive domains of defence and security. French companies exhibiting under the “French Pavilion” at the Pacific exhibition will be presenting their expertise and their high-tech equipment that can meet the needs of the Australian armed forces as well as those of all the countries involved in the safety of the Asia-Pacific region. This exhibition will allow them to be showcased to a large number of customers and also to develop local industrial partnerships. I wish you all an exhibition full of promising, growth-promoting encounters.     Le 15/05/2018 Communiqué de presse IMT Atlantique, Orano, Naval Group et l’IRSN reconduisent la chaire RESOH avec l’Andra pour nouveau partenaire Lancée en 2012, par IMT Atlantique et ses trois partenaires Orano, Naval Group et l’IRSN, la chaire de recherche et d’enseignement RESOH « REcherche en Sûreté Organisation Hommes » constitue une démarche innovante. Elle réunit des exploitants du nucléaire et l’institut d’expertise d’appui de l’Autorité de sûreté autour d’une volonté commune de réfléchir et d’agir au service d’une performance industrielle « sûre ». La convention signée au début de l’année 2018 reconduit la chaire RESOH jusqu’en octobre 2022 et marque l’arrivée d’un nouveau partenaire, l’Andra (Agence nationale pour la gestion des déchets radioactifs). La chaire RESOH-2 s’appuiera sur les acquis et l’originalité de RESOH-1, qui a permis d’initier des collaborations inédites en matière de recherche et des discussions entre les acteurs de la sûreté nucléaire. Ce projet met l’accent sur les relations inter-organisationnelles et marque la volonté de ne pas isoler la sûreté nucléaire des autres formes de performance industrielle, faisant ainsi émerger le concept de « performance industrielle sûre ». RESOH-2 reprend et approfondit les 3 axes de recherche initialement définis, avec la volonté de renforcer les liens transversaux entre ces différents domaines : • Gestion des projets complexes, • Pilotage de la valeur des relations de sous-traitance (engagements contractuels, travailler ensemble). • Relations contrôleur-contrôlé et gestion de l’équilibre entre sécurité réglée et sécurité gérée. Cette seconde étape est aussi l’occasion de capitaliser sur la connaissance des sites des partenaires industriels et de valider l’investissement de terrain effectué pour appréhender la complexité d’équipements tels que La Hague, le chantier de construction des sous-marins nucléaires d’attaque de classe Barracuda, ou des activités d’expertise de l’IRSN (Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire).

    COMMUNIQUÉ DE PRESSE Le 7 juillet 2021 Framatome contribue au programme de sous- marins nucléaires lanceurs d’engins de troisième génération Le 7 juillet 2021 - Dans le cadre du contrat signé avec Naval Group en mai dernier, Framatome va fournir des ébauches forgées dites de « série » pour la cuve et les générateurs de vapeur des chaufferies nucléaires des premiers sous-marins de troisième génération (SNLE 3G). Les ébauches forgées seront produites dans l’usine de Framatome au Creusot. Depuis des décennies, l’usine du Creusot met son savoir-faire au service de la défense. L’usine a ainsi contribué à la réalisation de composants de haute technologie au profit de la Marine nationale, notamment pour les programmes de sous-marins et du porte-avions Charles de Gaulle. « Cette nouvelle collaboration industrielle est une étape importante dans notre partenariat de longue date avec Naval Group », a déclaré François Billot, Directeur de Framatome Defense et des Offres & Projets de Framatome. « Elle illustre la stratégie de Framatome Defense de développer nos activités au profit de la défense, affirmer notre engagement et renforcer notre contribution à ce secteur stratégique. » La collaboration entre Framatome et Naval Group sous la bannière de Framatome Defense couvre plusieurs programmes de la défense : les programmes de réalisation des SNLE 3G, le programme Barracuda avec les sous-marins nucléaires d’attaque (SNA) de classe Suffren ainsi que le futur porte- avions de nouvelle génération (PA Ng).
