● Jumpstarts Read for the Record brings together millions of adults and children around the world each year to read the same book on the same day in order to raise awareness about the critical importances of early literacy and access to high-quality books.
● This year, district readers and community partners volunteer to read (virtually) to all First Grade classrooms in the district for Read for the Record.
● School staff volunteers to read a book of their choice to a mystery classroom in all other grade levels. Classes who correctly guess their reader earn a Class DROP! November At-a-Glance

What will you look like when you are 100 years old??
Students can dress up today to look like they are 100 in celebration of completing 100 days of school!!! In honor of Black History Month we will be running our 4th Annual Black History Month Black History Month Showcase on Friday 2/26. Showcase This year’s event will be done virtually! Classes will work to complete either Friday(2/26) individual or a class project that will be recorded and shared with families.
Project ideas include:
-Musical performances
-Poetry readings
-Living museum
-Studying and performing traditional African dance(s)
-Bringing art and history together by recreating Civil Rights Freedom Movement posters March At-a-Glance
