2019 International Conference on Advanced Education and Management (ICAEM 2019) ISBN: 978-1-60595-635-0 Research on Decision-making of Service Quality Improvement in Xiamen Metro Based on IPA and PZB Model Ju-Xiang ZHANGa and Ming-Hui JIAb Tan Kah Kee College, Xiamen University, Zhang Zhou, China [email protected], [email protected] Keywords: Xiamen Metro; Service Quality; IPA Analysis Model; PZB Service Quality Gap Model. Abstract. Urban public transportation plays a very important role in contemporary social travel, which means one the social development and progress of a public transport is urban rail transit -- metro. This study from Xiamen city metro which was just in the beginning, it took the selection from the service quality as a measure, it effective combined the PZB service quality gap model with the model of IPA, it first found out its quality elements by using PZB service quality gap model, and then analyzed the service quality evaluation through the IPA model. The problems in the service process are found out, in order to solve these problems, the decision methods that can improve these problems are proposed. Introduction Urban rail traffic not only meets the needs of residents, but also represents the development level of a city and the living standard of local residents. Quality service can improve customer perception, to meet the psychological needs of passengers and generate positive effects such as customer loyalty. Xiamen metro is in the service of urban rail transit system in Xiamen, Fujian province, China. Xiamen metro’s line 1, with a total length of about 267 kilometers, opened on December 31, 2017.

An understanding of the spatial and temporal changes of estuarine islands is needed for environmental change monitoring and assessment in estuarine and coastal areas. Such information can also help us better understand how estuarine islands respond to sea level rise in the context of global warming. The temporal changes of two estuarine islands in Shanghai near the Yangtze River Estuary were obtained using Landsat TM (Thematic Mapper) and ETM+ (Enhanced Thematic Mapper) images from 1987 to 2016 on an annual scale. First, a composite image was generated by using the multi-temporal Landsat images for each year. Then, a modified normalized difference water index (MNDWI) was applied to the annual estuarine island maps using a threshold segmentation method.

  • Shanghai's Dongtan Eco-City and Chongming Eco-Island
China’s Eco-cities as Variegated Urban Sustainability: Dongtan Eco-city and Chongming Eco-island I-Chun Catherine Chang* [email protected] Department of Geography, 515 Social Science Building University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN 55455, USA Eric S. Sheppard [email protected] Department of Geography, University of California, Los Angeles 1255 Bunche Hall, Box 951524, Los Angeles, CA 90095, USA [Draft, please do not cite or circulate without the authors’ permission] Prepared for the Journal of Urban Technology, Special Issue on Pan-Asian Eco-cities * Corresponding author. Abstract Proliferating environmental sustainability policy frameworks suggest that sustainability and economic competitiveness are essentially interdependent and mutually enhancing. Under these policy discourses, cities are designated as strategic geographical locales for fulfilling the green capitalist goal of reconciling the contradictions between environment and development that long have bedeviled capitalism. While most urban sustainability agendas are crafted based on the experience of post-industrial countries, the promise of green capitalism and sustainability faces different challenges where industrial production still dominates the economy. However, research on whether and how urban sustainability policies are geographically variegated is still sparse, particularly beyond western (post)industrial capitalism. Examining the Dongtan eco-city project and associated Chongming eco-island project in Shanghai, we interrogate how sustainability is imagined and practiced on the ground within the distinctive Chinese context. The meanings of sustainability in Dongtan and Chongming reflect the context of Chinese urbanization in the Shanghai area. Both Dongtan and Chongming seek to develop green technologies as a way to resolve the dilemma of being caught between urbanization and agriculture.
