The is 468 meters high. It consists of three - main whole-scope sightseeing floors. Tourists can enjoy the dynam ic city view of different height. The Shanghai Tower is a 632-metre, 128-story mega tall skyscrap er in Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai. It is the world’s second tallest building, but it has the world’s highest within a building or structure (Level 121, 561.25 m), and the world’s fastest elevators at a top speed of 20.5 m/s (74 km/h).

Yu Garden is an extensive . It was first built in 1559 during the by Pan Yunduan as a comfort for his father, the minister Pan En, in his old age. The garden was the largest and most prestigious of its era in Shanghai. Today, Yu Garden occupies an area of 5 acres, and is divided into six general areas laid out in the style.

The Bund is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The area cen ters on a section of Road within the former Shanghai International Settlement, which runs along the western bank of the . It faces the modern of Lujiazui and is famous for the exotic building clusters along it. The night view of the Bund is something you can’t miss in Shanghai.

08 Nanjing Road

Nanjing Road is the main shopping street of Shanghai, China, and is one of the world’s busiest shopping streets. East Nanjing Road has most of Shanghai’s oldest and largest department stores, as well as a variety of domestic retail outlets, and some traditional eateries with a long history. East Nanjing Road ends at People’s Park, and opposite the park begins the West Nanjing Road, and it features a number of five star hotels, upscale shopping centers, restaurants and prime office buildings.

- Tianzifang is a touristic arts and crafts enclave that has developed from a renovated traditional residential area in the French Conces sion area. It has become a major tourist attraction and has more than 200 diverse small businesses such as cafes, bars, restaurants, art galleries, craft stores, design houses and studios. It’s also an example of preservation of local architecture, and it has managed to preserve its residential feel, adding to its appeal.

10 Jing’an Temple

Jing’an Temple is a Buddhist temple on the West Nanjing Road. The temple has a history of more than 780 years and was first built in the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280). Except the biggest pure jade portrait of Shakyamuni in , you can also enjoy the - marvelous painting and calligraphy by ’s Eight Eccentric Painters in the Exhibition Hall of Buddhist Relics. Another import ant display of this temple is the bronze bell which was made in the Ming Dynasty.

The French Concession is the area of Shanghai once designated for the French. The tree-lined avenues and their many Tudor mansions- in the area still retain an air of the “Paris of the East”. Interesting- architecture built with French and Belgian money, the local Shang - hainese bustle, combined with a growing number of trendy bou tiques and restaurants, it shows the special mixed Chinese-Europe an styles.

13 Zhujiajiao

Zhujiajiao is a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was- established about 1,700 years ago. Archaeological findings dating back 5,000 years have also been found. 36 stone and nu merous rivers line Zhujiajiao, and many ancient buildings still line the riverbanks today.

18 Mount Mogan

Moganshan is a mountain top tourist region near Hangzhou, Zhe jiang. It is a good weekend retreat from Shanghai, as it is only a 2.5-hour drive west. You can either drive or hike to the summit along the foot paths through the bamboo. It is also very nice in the shoulder periods when the cooler weather makes for more pleasant hiking. There is a nice park with walking trails at the very top of the mountain.

19 Qiandao Lake

- - Qiandao Lake is a young lake formed in 1959 as a result of the con- struction of New Anjiang Hydroelectric Power Station. It is a beauti ful lake with 1078 islets showing different views in different sea sons. It is a rich lake abounding with fish and surrounded by trees, tea, mulberry (the food of the silkworm) and other fruit trees.

21 Xitang Water Town

Xitang Water Town, lying in in City, Zhejiang Province, is a famous town with thousands of years of history. It dates back to the (770 BC-476 BC) and the Warring States Period (476 BC-221 BC). The town was a place of strategic importance on the boundary of the and Yue states. Its flat terrain is marked by a quiet, natural environment with rivers running through it.

Transportation: Take a bus from Shanghai South Long Distance Bus Station or Long Distance General Bus Station to Xitang.

25 Yangzhou

Yangzhou is a prefecture-level city in central Jiangsu Province, Peo ple’s Republic of China. Sitting on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, it borders the provincial capital of Nanjing to the southwest, Huai’an to the north, to the northeast, Taizhou to the east, and across the river to the south. Historically it is one of the wealthiest of China’s cities, known at various periods for its great merchant families, poets, painters, and scholars. -
