2. Put together an illustrated research poster about Marvel Studios (and the Hollywood film industry) adding key facts about its films, budgets etc.
Illustrate it with images if you can!
See below for ideas of what you could include on the poster.
When was Marvel Studios created? Which film allowed the studio to continue due to its success? What is a (film) franchise? How many films have they produced? Why do you think audiences like franchises? Can you name some of the most successful film franchises? What is ‘The Cinematic Universe’ Marvel created? Where does Marvel get their idea for films (stories) and characters from? Is this a new idea? Have any other film studios done this? Do you think Marvel Studios makes its profit just from cinema ticket sales? How else do you think they make money? Do they have any other products linked to the films? One of the biggest media companies in the world bought Marvel Studios in 2009 - can you name it? Why do you think they did this? What are the production budgets of its films? Try Avengers: Endgame as an example. What is the worldwide box office gross of its films (how much money the films have made at the box office?) – try the most recent films Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Is the Comic-Book film genre (type/category of film) popular with audiences? Can you name any other recent examples? Why do you think modern audiences enjoy the Comic Book genre?
Use websites such as www.imdb.com and www.the-numbers.com to help you with your research.
