If you are accepted into the Appalachian Ballet Company, are you willing to make the time commitment, follow all company rules, be a good role model, and give of your talent with a positive and professional attitude? ______

Acceptance into the company and the casting of the ballets are based on many factors, including dance talent and training, musicality, height, weight, and acting ability.

A qualified panel will assist the Artistic Director in making all casting decisions. All final decisions are made by the Artistic Director. Questioning the Artistic Director’s decision is inappropriate and grounds for probation and/or dismissal from the company and school.

Members of the Appalachian Ballet Company are required to pay nominal Guild Dues in August and to participate in fundraisers. Junior, Senior Apprentice and Senior Company Members may be required to buy additional articles of clothing, such as jackets, pants, etc.

The Appalachian Ballet Company is a separate organization from Van Metre School of Dance and has goals of attaining the highest standards possible for a regional ballet company.

****Due to COVID 19, the potential for season performances is unknown at this time and is being evaluated on a weekly basis.

****I have read and signed the COVID waiver. (if you are a Van Metre student, you did this upon registering for the 2020-2021 school year.)
