TV LAND REACHES FANS ON MORE THAN FIVE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS FOR THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE “TV LAND AWARDS”

Annual Awards Show Gives Users Exclusive Content On Facebook, , Instagram, GetGlue, Pinterest, Tumblr And More

Show Premieres On Sunday, April 29 At 9PM ET/PT

New York, NY, April 20, 2012 – TV Land announced today their advanced digital integration rollout for the “TV Land Awards” 10th Anniversary celebration. The initiative will combine the use of more than five social media platforms to create the ultimate engagement experience for one of television’s most memorable nights. The “TV Land Awards” 10th Anniversary celebration taped on April 14th, and premieres on TV Land on Sunday, April 29 at 9pm ET/PT. Honorees included Aretha Franklin and the casts of “Murphy Brown,” “Laverne & Shirley,” “In Living Color,” “One Day At A Time,” and “Pee-wee’s Playhouse.” The B-52’s also were on hand to rock out as the show's house band along with presenters such as , Fran Drescher, John Legend and more.

The platforms include:

· The TV Land Facebook page will be the official flagship location for all content related to the “TV Land Awards” 10th Anniversary including sneak peek videos, red carpet interviews, Instagram photos and more.

· The newly revamped TV Land Tumblr will also have exclusive content, with ten “Top 10” lists and photo galleries in honor of the 10th anniversary released ten days prior to the awards about the show and each of the series being honored this year, including Aretha Franklin (Music Icon), “Laverne & Shirley” (Fan Favorite Award), “One Day At A Time” (Innovator Award), “In Living Color” (Groundbreaking Award), “Murphy Brown” (Impact Award) and “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” (Pop Culture Award).

· Behind-the-scenes photos of honorees like Candice Bergen, Valerie Bertinelli, , Aretha Franklin, and more will be available by following TV Land at @laughmoretv on Instagram. Also photos from some of the best moments of the night will be available on TV Land’s Pinterest.

· TV Land will also use Twitter to engage viewers with featured honorees. @TVLand announcements have already been retweeted by Pop Culture Award Recipient Pee-wee Herman (1 million+ followers), Groundbreaking Award Honoree (900K followers) and more. Attendees at the “TV Land Awards” 10th Anniversary also engaged in continuous communication with fans during the event, keeping the #TVLandAwards alive through Tweet pics from the red carpet, the show, and backstage.

· In addition, viewers will be able to choose an array of limited edition GetGlue badges dedicated to this year’s honorees once they check in to the broadcast.

TVLand.com will host exclusive content as well, showcasing three performances by Music Icon Award-winner Aretha Franklin, including one of her biggest hits “Chain of Fools,” the gospel anthem “I Came To Lift Him Up” and the Handel aria “Ombra Mai Fu.” To boot, Rob Shuter (of HDNet’s “Naughty But Nice” and Huffington Post Celebrity) served as TVLand.com’s special correspondent on the red carpet, interviewing all the honorees as they made their way into the show. He’ll reveal his "Top Ten Looks from The Red Carpet" on April 26th and his "Top Ten Moments from The Show To Watch For" will be on April 28th all on TVLand.com.

The"TV Land Awards" pays tribute to classic and contemporary luminaries of television, music and movies. The 90-minute telecast will feature exhilarating musical performances and will reunite some of the most iconic celebrity TV casts.
