A former computer geek who bailed out to become a comedian, Wayne Cotter is a favorite of the talk shows, having appeared dozens of times with both David Wayne Cotter Letterman and Jay Leno. He also appears in a recurring role as a roving reporter for The Tonight Show. A top nationally-touring comedian, Wayne Cotter hosted the Fox Television Network series Comic Strip Live for several years. Wayne Speech Topics Cotter has also been nominated as “Best Standup Comedian” at the American Comedy Awards, and has appeared in numerous cable television specials. He also served as host of the long-running Discovery seriesAmazing America; a light- Technology hearted look at weird and wacky subcultures throughout the United States. Humor Regularly appearing in nightclubs and casinos, Wayne Cotter has also become a Emcee highly sought-after entertainer for corporate events. Comedian Drawn to standup comedy at the tender age of 6, Wayne Cotter memorized the routines of Alan King, Bob Newhart, Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks and other greats of the era, repeating them incessantly. His parents, not recognizing this obvious cry for help, simply avoided him, causing sufficient feelings of alienation that guaranteed Wayne’s future in show business. Although he studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and began a career with a New Jersey computer company, Wayne Cotter often moonlighted as a Philadelphia comedian. He continued this double life for some time, and ultimately came to the visionary conclusion that the computer industry was going nowhere and left town to pursue show business full time. Upon arriving in New York, Wayne Cotter quickly became a favorite of both David Letterman and Johnny Carson. Steve Martin
Steve Martin Steve Martin has become one of the world's best-known comedic personalities. Oddly enough, he started out studying philosophy and wanted to become a college professor in the subject. He is a member of Mensa International (an organization for people with very high IQs). His studies, though, turned him in the exact opposite direction. He dropped out of college to pursue a career in comedy writing for numerous television shows before going solo as a stand-up comedian. His experience in philosophy taught him to try ridiculous twists that launched a great career and numerous world renowned catch phrases. Stephen Glenn Martin, born August 14, 1945, is an American comedian, writer, producer, actor, musician and composer. He was born in Waco, Texas and raised in Orange County, California, he worked at Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland in concessions. Steve credits this with the beginning of his love for entertainment. He developed his skills in playing the banjo, lassoing, juggling, making balloon animals and improvisational comedy. When he went to college at California State University, long Beach he majored in philosophy. His goal was to become a philosophy professor, but something in his studies changed his mind. “In philosophy, I started studying logic, and they were talking about cause and effect, and you start to realize, ‘Hey, there is no cause and effect!
