2020/2021 SEASON CLASS DRESS CODE The proper foot wear and dance wear is required and an important part of class. Students must wear the proper dance attire and footwear to class. Students may wear similar style dance shoes that they already have until they outgrow them and or purchase required ones. Dance shoes may not be worn outside. All students must wear long hair in a ponytail, braid or bun. Ballet students must wear a bun to class. No jewelry should be worn to class. Leotards must be a solid color, without large colored pictures on them. A stiff net tutu is not allowed in class. Oversized t-shirts, boxer shorts, pajamas or jeans are not permitted in class. A fitting garment, in the appropriate color, may be worn over the leotard for warmth. Please check for loose screws in tap shoes, as they damage the dance floor.

DRESS CODE BY CLASS Terrific Toddlers, Movement Music & Dance Preschool 1 & 2, Ballet Beginner – pink leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers, pink dance skirt is optional, hair in a ponytail or bun (bun for ballet class)

All other Ballet Classes – black leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers (leather with full or split-sole), solid black dance skirt or black dance shorts are optional (print dance skirts may be worn in Advanced Intermediate & Advanced classes only), hair in a bun

Tap Beginner - pink leotard, pink tights or caramel tights, caramel colored u-shell tap shoes (Capezio Maryjane model #3800 in caramel), a pink dance skirt or dance shorts are optional, hair in a ponytail or bun

Advanced Beginner - black leotard, pink tights or caramel tights, caramel colored u-shell tap shoes (Capezio Maryjane model #3800 in caramel), a black dance skirt or dance shorts are optional, hair in a ponytail or bun

All other Tap Classes – black leotard, caramel or pink tights, black lace-up tap shoes with a toe box (Capezio Fluid Tap Shoe CG17 in black or Capezio Premiere CG09 or for advanced dancers Capezio Classic Tap K543), black dance skirt, shorts, pants or capris are optional, hair in a ponytail or bun

Jazz/Hip Hop Beginner- pink leotard, pink tights or caramel tights, jazz slip-on shoe (Capezio model #EJ2 in caramel), pink dance shorts are optional, hair in a ponytail or bun

All other Jazz Classes - black leotard, caramel or pink tights, jazz slip-on shoe (Capezio model #EJ2 in caramel), black dance shorts, leggings or dance pants are optional

All Hip Hop Classes – black leotard or black top & caramel tights, black shorts, black leggings or black pants, Nike Air Force 1 low sneaker in white (try to buy kids sizing to save money – they are boys sizing so they can fit a majority of girls – they can be purchased at sneaker stores) These sneakers must be dedicated for the dance class and not worn outside.

All Contemporary/Lyrical Classes - black leotard, caramel or pink footless or transition tights, black dance skirt or shorts are optional, Bodywrappers Twyla II leather half sole shoes in jazzy tan, hair in a ponytail or bun
