Gin Blossoms, The Rembrandts to play RiverStage during beer fest March 25

Gin Blossoms and The Rembrandts will perform at the RiverStage on Saturday, March 25, as part of the Texas Craft Beer & Music Festival.

General admission tickets are on sale now for $25 at stubwire.com; at Zero One Ale House, 20 W. Beauregard Ave., and Backbeat Music Co., 102 N. Chadbourne St.; or by calling 877-990-7882. Tickets at the gate will cost $30. Children 12 and younger will be admitted free.

The concert at the Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E. Avenue A, will begin at 9 p.m. Gates will open at 7:30 p.m. The Texas Craft Beer & Music Festival will be from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Neff’s Park area across the Concho River from the RiverStage. Admission to the festival is free. There will be craft beer tasting, food trucks, live music, shopping, vendors and a kids corner.

Gin Blossoms play a fusion of pop, melodic rock, folk and country. The band’s major debut, “New Miserable Experience,” was a quadruple-platinum album in 1992, fueled largely by the success of the hit, “.” Subsequent hits such as “,” “” and “” also landed near the top of the chart. The band broke up in 1997 but reunited in 2002.

The pop rock duo The Rembrandts are best known for their hit “I’ll Be There for You,” which served as the theme for the TV sitcom “.” The Rembrandts split in 1997, reunited in 2000 and continue to write new , tour and produce for a number of other artists, including Gin Blossoms.
