Public Notice to Telecommunications Service Providers

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Public Works Department of the City of South San Francisco, San Mateo County, California, pursuant its Open Trench Notification Process, is accepting Notices of Intent to Participate from Telecommunications Service Providers for collocating telecommunication facilities in the public right-of-way as part of the Intermountain Infrastructure Group Project # JSRN-P2_UG-01_SSF located on the following Public Streets: Along Junipero Serra Boulevard from Westborough Boulevard to Avalon Drive Description of Work: This project proposes a new underground construction of 2,968 feet with Install 2X2 inch SDR 11 HDPE, 2X1.25 inch SDR 11 HDPE, and 3X1.25 inch SDR 11 HDPE via directional boring and open trench, place manholes and hand holes along Junipero Serra Boulevard from Westborough Boulevard to Avalon Drive. In order to participate in the above referenced project, Telecommunications Service Providers must submit the attached Notice of Intent to Participate application by (10:00am on Friday, August 28, 2020) at the office of the City of South San Francisco Engineering Division at the City Hall Annex, 315 Maple Avenue, South San Francisco, California, 94080. Those Telecommunications Companies that submit a Notice of Intent to Participate and meet the criteria established by the City as being a competent service provider will be notified within 14 calendar days of the due date of the Notice of Intent and will be invited to participate in the project. It is the responsibility of Intermountain Infrastructure Group and respondents to negotiate the scope and terms of collocation work in good faith. If a respondent believes that Intermountain Infrastructure Group is not negotiating in good faith, then a protest detailing the dispute may be submitted to the Public Works Department.

Notice of Intent to Participate

This Notice of Intent to Participate is submitted in response to the Public Notice to Telecommunications Service Providers dated July 24, 2020 issued by the City of South San Francisco Public Works Department for collocating telecommunication facilities in the public right-of-way as part of the Intermountain Infrastructure Group Project # JSRN- P2_UG-01_SSF located on the following Public Streets: Along Junipero Serra Boulevard from Westborough Boulevard to Avalon Drive Description of Work: This project proposes a new underground construction of 2,968 feet with Install 2X2 inch SDR 11 HDPE, 2X1.25 inch SDR 11 HDPE, and 3X1.25 inch SDR 11 HDPE via directional boring and open trench, place manholes and hand holes along Junipero Serra Boulevard from Westborough Boulevard to Avalon Drive. It is understood that the scope and terms of the collocation work will be negotiated in good faith directly with the Intermountain Infrastructure Group. It is also understood that all Telecommunications Service Providers require an executed Encroachment Agreement with the City of South San Francisco prior to the installation of any telecommunication facilities in the Public right-of-way.

By the signature herein, I hereby certify that the Utility named below is a telecommunications provider operating under the authority of the California Public Utilities Commission to operate as a full facilities based competitive local exchange carrier and desires to place facilities to do so in the City of South San Francisco’s public right-of-way.
