I think this banquet is one of the most inspirational events sponsored by our Foundation, and your contributions made it even more so. I would be remss if I also didn't tell you how much we appreciate your visits in our schools. Your message is one that students can't hear too often, and you make it meaningful but fun for them to hear. I hope you can come back to Cleveland County Schools again soon. You were so lund to give them the magazines and the toy tattoos You have given them opportunities and memories that they will carry with them always I am sure we have a future television producer in our student body due to your modeling your profession for them. Thanks a mllion for complimenting their murals. Thanks a million for putting their photographs and story on your website. We showed them their portraits on the classroom computer and they were thrilled. You gave them a very valuable and unique expenence. A million thanks for all the money for our students. We are purchasing items to engender literacy and math growth, including safe, plastic compasses and tactile sponges with letters and numbers to paint with. I have also ordered plaster impregnated medical gauze, the kind physicians used to use to set casts. We will use this matenal to study anatomy, art, and science and to encourage future careers in art and medicine. We will also purchase books. You are encouraging children who are very underpnvileged and you have given them the courage and strength to be successful. God Bless you for your warmth, kmdness, generosity, and for your nurturing the cognitive and emotional growth of our students who would not have received that opportunity otherwise. A million thanks for giving our children such chansmatic attention and making them laugh. We are deeply appreciative of the time you took signing autographs for each and every child with all their names. A million thanks for malung our children celebnties. Their faces lit up like fireworks when they saw their portraits and story on your website. You gave our school excellent publicity and a great deal of joy. I am sure there is a future television celebrity and public speaker in the student body due to you excellent modeling. Thanks a mllion for giving our children memories that will last a lifetime. A million thanks, also, for all the money you gave us for our students. We have purchase instructional materials that encourage reading, math, the arts, and art and medical careers. We have money from you for helping our students who are disadvantaged and do not have enough money for a field tnp or glasses or their lunch bill. The local news station did give us television coverage, as did two newspapers and a newsletter that goes to every school employee. You have given our children a unique opportunity. They were the only children in the entire school system who could say that they were on a television webpage, our county webpage, and television all at once. We sent home a newsletter to all the parents about your kindness and profound generosity. We dearly enjoyed Mr. Kerby, also, and are sending a letter to him. We have so much in common You mentioned your brother teaches at a college in New York City. I have cousins who are graduates of NYU and Columbia University. One has his doctorate in industnal psychology and another has her medical degree in podiatry. I am sure our children will enjoy this lund of success in the future. You showed them profound kmdness and attention, as well as giving them such an enormous amount of money.You have truly planted seeds in our children that will grow into higher education and success.
