Dear Jeff

Thank you so much for helping make our Time Warner Heroes banquet so successful. Your comments were right on target with the theme of our evening. And, as usual, the students were thrilled you were there - of course, we adults were, too. I think this banquet is one of the most inspirational events sponsored by our Foundation, and your contributions made it even more so.

I would be remss if I also didn't tell you how much we appreciate your visits in our schools. Your message is one that students can't hear too often, and you make it meaningful but fun for them to hear. I hope you can come back to Cleveland County Schools again soon.

Again, thanks for speaking at the Heroes banquet. All of Cleveland County will be able to see it as it is being aired several times on the local community access channel.

Dear Mr. Kerby, There is a myriad of items we have to thank you for. We dearly appreciate your courteous, impeccable manners calling us long distance many times. We dearly appreciate you traveling to our school We deeply appreciate the quality time you spent with our beloved students. You were so lund to give them the magazines and the toy tattoos You have given them opportunities and memories that they will carry with them always I am sure we have a future television producer in our student body due to your modeling your profession for them. Thanks a mllion for complimenting their murals. Thanks a million for putting their photographs and story on your website. We showed them their portraits on the classroom computer and they were thrilled. You gave them a very valuable and unique expenence. A million thanks for all the money for our students. We are purchasing items to engender literacy and math growth, including safe, plastic compasses and tactile sponges with letters and numbers to paint with. I have also ordered plaster impregnated medical gauze, the kind physicians used to use to set casts. We will use this matenal to study anatomy, art, and science and to encourage future careers in art and medicine. We will also purchase books. You are encouraging children who are very underpnvileged and you have given them the courage and strength to be successful. God Bless you for your warmth, kmdness, generosity, and for your nurturing the cognitive and emotional growth of our students who would not have received that opportunity otherwise. Dear Mr. Johnson, There aren't any words in any language to express our gratitude for the magnitude of what you have done for our children. A million thanks for giving our children such chansmatic attention and making them laugh. We are deeply appreciative of the time you took signing autographs for each and every child with all their names. A million thanks for malung our children celebnties. Their faces lit up like fireworks when they saw their portraits and story on your website. You gave our school excellent publicity and a great deal of joy. I am sure there is a future television celebrity and public speaker in the student body due to you excellent modeling. Thanks a mllion for giving our children memories that will last a lifetime. A million thanks, also, for all the money you gave us for our students. We have purchase instructional materials that encourage reading, math, the arts, and art and medical careers. We have money from you for helping our students who are disadvantaged and do not have enough money for a field tnp or glasses or their lunch bill. The local news station did give us television coverage, as did two newspapers and a newsletter that goes to every school employee. You have given our children a unique opportunity. They were the only children in the entire school system who could say that they were on a television webpage, our county webpage, and television all at once. We sent home a newsletter to all the parents about your kindness and profound generosity. We dearly enjoyed Mr. Kerby, also, and are sending a letter to him. We have so much in common You mentioned your brother teaches at a college in New York City. I have cousins who are graduates of NYU and Columbia University. One has his doctorate in industnal psychology and another has her medical degree in podiatry. I am sure our children will enjoy this lund of success in the future. You showed them profound kmdness and attention, as well as giving them such an enormous amount of money. You have truly planted seeds in our children that will grow into higher education and success. Dear Jeff:

I wanted to thank you personally and express my gratitude for you taking time out to come and be a part of our AngelFEST 2000 program Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church. I know you have a very busy schedule, yet you always seem to find time to serve in so many different capacities within your community. You will never know how much it meant to so many of our “angel” that some of your magnitude would take time for them. I’ve enclosed a print of the article that ran in Sunday mornings paper. You helped impact over 75 children that many times fall through the cracks of society and are forgotten.

This will continue to be an annual back-to-school event in Union County and hope you would consider being a part of our festivities next year.

May God continue to bless you in all your ventures.

Dear Mr. Johnson:

Congratulations on being awarded one of Rock Hill School District Three’s prestigious CLASP Awards this year.

Volunteerism and service-leaming are important values here at Winthrop University, and it inspires our students to see such examples of volunteerism and community involvement as those recognized at the awards breakfast. Surveys indicate over half our students engage in some form of volunteer activity each year, so it is clear the community standard that your organization is helping to create in this regard is contributing to the civic engagement of a new generation as well. Please extend our congratulations to all those in your organization who participated in these special activities.

Best wishes as the new academic year begins

Dear Mr. Johnson.

On behalf of the fifth grade students, staff, and parents of Myers Park Traditional, I would like to thank you again for being the graduation speaker for our fifth grade class on May 3 1,2000. That was a very special day for them, and your presence certainly added so much to the occasion.

Your remarks were very inspirational to them as they begin their middle school adventure. I especially appreciated the connection your remarks had to our emphasis on character development, especially respect, responsibility, and cooperation. It was good for our parents and students to hear that from someone away from school. Your comments on hard work, setting goals, and parental encouragement were right on target.

Dear Kish,

Prudential Carolinas Realty and the Charlotte Housing Authority want to thank you and the employees of UPN46iWB55 for the Public Service Announcement and the school supplies that were donated to benefit children living in public housing. We also appreciate your help at the Distribution Party. We were able to distribute school supplies to over 1,000 school age children living in public housing neighborhoods in Charlotte on August 9, 10 and 1 I. There were lines with hundreds of kids and parents waiting to pick up school supplies over this three day period. We still continue to receive donations and school supplies which will help stock the School Supply Closet that provides supplies to children during the school year when needed.

Many of these children live in single parent homes with annual incomes of $6,000 or less. We hope that you understand the difference that you have made of these children starting the first day of school. You have made an investment in their future by providing the tools that they need for an education and boosted their self-esteem.

Thank you for your participation in the Prudential Carolinas Realty 3rdAnnual School Supply Drive.

I don't usually take the time to write emails like these but I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your stations commitment to provide nearly 24 hour daily HO programming I am a resident of Asheboro and in the most prime area in the country to receive off air HD On my 61" RCA HD set I receive all the signals in the Raleigh, Charlotte, and Piedmont markets Until recently I watched WRAL for the majority of the time Now I stay tuned to WWWB I particularly enjoy the rebroadcast of select HDnet programming, such as the Mark Cuban show, shot at your sister WB affiliate in Dallas And, , the show on TV that I am most dedicated to, looks outstanding in 10801 I like that it is a digital film transfer shot in Panavision as opposed to being shot with HD cameras

Anyway, thank you for dedication to pioneer the broadcast of HD programming in the By-State area

PS If there are ever any opportunities that your station provides to the general public to visit the set of Smallville in Vancouver, I would appreciate the opportunity to take part in that if possible.
