Mass Intention Book open for dates up to Easter. The restriction of the number of masses per family has been lifted for the present.

Pro-Life Postcard Campaign: Posted in the vestibule there is a letter from Bishop Bambera asking you to participate in the Diocesan pro-life postcard campaign. Please add your signature and a personal mes- sage urging legislators to act always to preserve life on the postcards provided and return them to the following address: Office of Parish Life, Diocese of Scranton, 300 Wyoming Ave, Scranton, PA, 18503.

Ember Days: Next week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday the marks the Ember Days of Lent. These are days of particular . The Pastor urges all those who are able to make a special effort to pray for the liberty and exaltation of the Church during this time by abstain from meat and on the Lenten Ember Days. The rules for fasting during Lent are given in the FSSP calendar.

Special Collection: There is a special collection on Sunday 10th March for the FSSP Seminary. Please give generously.

Sacramental Preparation Classes

Information on Sacramental Preparations is now available on the parish website. All those wishing to receive First Holy Communion or Confirmation must sign up via the website before 17th February 2019. Please note that Sacra- mental Preparation classes are for registered parishioners only. Classes begin at 9:00am on Sunday 24th February 2019. Classes are of 14 weeks duration excluding Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday and Low Sunday.

First Holy Communion will be made during the 10:15am on Sunday 23rd June (Feast of Corpus Christi).

Confirmation, conferred by Bishop Waltersheid Auxiliary Bishop of Pittsburg, will be celebrated on Saturday 29th June (Feast of Ss. Peter & Paul) at 10am followed by Pontifical Benediction. For those receiving this sacrament who were not baptized at St. Michaels please arrange for a baptism certificate (dated within the last six months) to be sent to the Rectory now.
