Property Description:

This agriculture area of interest is located near the Trans- Highway, north of Fischell’s River, approximately 5.0 kilometers west of Route 403 intersection, in the Bay St. George area of Newfoundland and Labrador. The existing land use is primarily forested land with minor organic formations. There is limited access to this parcel of land.

The total area in this land base is approximately 2,288.2 acres (926.0 hectares)

Applicants may be subject to other requirements that may be specified by the Provincial and Federal Governments.

Interested applicants should contact the Department of Fisheries and Land Resources to discuss options for development within this area prior to submitting an application. Additional work may be required by the Agricultural Land Section to determine the exact location within the area to accommodate the applicant’s plans.

Access to this site is limited. The Department accepts applications for road construction/maintenance, however, approval of such activities is not guaranteed.

Survey:

The successful candidate will be responsible for costs associated with legal land survey prior to approval of any title.
