To achieve this, stiffness, stability and safety are the key. This is also true for our Pro Riders. They want to have one bike they can use during the whole season. So that's why we offer the highest level combination of all these attributes on the EM525. 2 EM525 geometries: Performance & Endurance Most of our customers who are riding top end bikes, don't have the appropriate fit. They were being fitted using a pro rider geometry and were therefore using multiple spacers to have their handlebars in the right position. This is an issue in terms of stiffness and safety in the event of material failure. In order to avoid this, we have developed two different geometries: one for pro riders, which we call Endurance geometry 'Performance', and the other one, we call 'Endurance', which will fit most of our customers. In total, we have 7 frame sizes in each category, so 14 EM525 frame sizes to ensure that every kind of rider has the appropriate position with optimal stiffness and handling performance. 6 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Silver DURA ACE DI2 DISC Edco Aerosport Umbrial Disc EDDY MERCKX CYCLES 7 Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Orange ULTEGRA DI2 DISC Edco Aerosport Umbrial Disc The Endurance geometry of the frame on this photo is different from the Performance info on this sheet. 8 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Red ULTEGRA DISC Edco Aerosport Umbrial Disc EDDY MERCKX CYCLES 9 Performance Carbon Anthracite Black Silver eTAP or DURA ACE Edco Optima Albula 10 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Orange ULTEGRA DI2 Edco Optima Albula EDDY MERCKX CYCLES 11 Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Red ULTEGRA Edco Optima Albula The Endurance geometry of the frame on this photo is different from the Performance info on this sheet. 12 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Official Teambike of these Pro Teams: Delta Cycling Rotterdam Cyclingteam Jo Piels Aldro The story behind the name Eddy Merckx participated in Milan - San Remo 10 times and won it 7 times. The tubes also are designed to have an optimal aerodynamic performance. As for aerodynamics, we offer an integrated seat post with aerodynamic shape, large range bracket and integrated seat post clamp. Aerodynamic shapes & maximum power transfer We simultaneously focused on the power transfer with asymmetric chain stays and low seat stays that offer higher stiffness on the power transfer. On one hand, we focused on the aerodynamic shapes; the fork, all down to the downtube, integrated aerodynamic seat tube, seat post, and the aerodynamic seat stays. On Aero shape seat tube the other hand, we wanted to have power transfer that could be reached with huge cross sections on the bottom bracket, the downtube, and all down to Aero fork the dropouts. 14 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Silver ULTEGRA DI2 DISC DT Swiss R32 Spline EDDY MERCKX CYCLES 15 Performance Carbon Grey Black DURA ACE DISC DT Swiss R32 Spline 16 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Red ULTEGRA DISC DT Swiss R32 Spline EDDY MERCKX CYCLES 17 Performance Carbon White Anthracite Silver eTAP Fulcrum Racing Quattro 18 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Orange DURA ACE Fulcrum Racing Quattro EDDY MERCKX CYCLES 19 Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Silver ULTEGRA D12 Fulcrum Racing Quattro 20 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES Performance Carbon Black Anthracite Red ULTEGRA Fulcrum Racing Quattro EDDY MERCKX CYCLES 21 22 EDDY MERCKX CYCLES The story behind the name The Mourenx69 refers to Merckx’s victory during stage 7 in the Tour de France of 1969. You want to be sure your tyre will stick to the ground. So this is what we Compliance on the fork understand by compliance. Seven hundred and ten professional riders (Mean + SD: 27.9 + 4.2 years, 1.81 + 0.06 m, 68.6 + 6.33 kg) were coMpared for physical characteristics (i.e. age, height, and body Mass). The top 25% within rider specialties were selected as the saMple group based upon Pro Cycling Stats points General Classification, sprinter, tiMe-trialists, one-day racer earned during the previous season. An additional rider classification was created for those riders outside of the top 25% of all categories called DoMestique. General Classification riders in the WT were older than PC, however, there were no other differences between rider specialties. However, differences were found in anthropoMetric characteristics within the different divisions (i.e. height, body Mass, body surface area, and frontal area). In conclusion, the present study identified specific physical characteristic differences between the different types of professional cyclist levels of riders (WT vs. PC) and within their specialty of rider, which May deterMine when a rider May Move to the WT froM the PC. www.NorwoodParagon.co.uk Christmas 2009 Editorial This festive edition of Blah has a modest Christmas theme, mainly because it’s the fourth edition of the year and it’s out in late December! Our cover shows two of our riders, James and Angus, rowing across the sky and while they are from different sporting backgrounds they are now confirmed cyclists and have done pretty well in their first proper season by picking up club trophies and moving up the road race categories. Our riders are still active with some bravely competing in winter series road races and others out on club runs which are now in full swing. Do take a look at Marcus’s regular email updates detailing the numerous on and off road club runs. With the year almost done we can now think ahead to next years’ targets. Personally, I like a challenge and in recent years it’s been the London Marathon, The Three Peaks yacht race and last year the Transalp. For next year I’m musing over the channel swim or a 12 hour, decisions decisions! Our new club kit order will be here early in the new year and my question to all the racing members is who will take our first victory wearing the new club strip? Free tea & cake will be available to that rider at a subsequent club run. Happy Christmas and all the very best for New Year. Stephen Roach Newport Velodrome Track session Sunday 14th November 2010 12-3pm There’s nothing like a bit of forward planning and James Stuart has done this by booking Newport Velodrome for a private club track session next Autumn.

Ranking the Greatest Cyclists of All Time

The Outer Line The External Perspective On Pro Cycling Rankinghttps://www.theouterline.com The Greatest Cyclists Of All Time Who are the greatest male cyclists of all time? That would make a good trivia question at the cycling club’s annual dinner, and it’s sure to provide fodder for unending debate. Think about it: How many of us in America know enough cycling history to even come up with five good names? Sure, you could list the men who have won five Tours de France: Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault, and Induráin. (I’m omitting Armstrong, whose seven victories were officially annulled.) But that’s only four names. And Le Tour, of course, is only one race. Most of us don’t know our cycling like we know our baseball. Any baseball fan past infancy knows the names Ruth and Gehrig, Mantle and Mays, Clemens and Bonds. But American cycling fans would be hard- pressed, I think, to remember — let alone spell — the names Joop Zoetemelk and Roger de Vlaeminck. Both of those men, as it turns out, probably belong on any list of all-time greats. Zoetemelk was a Dutch ironman who started and finished the Tour 16 times (and won it once). De Vlaeminck was a Belgian steam engine who won the brutal Paris-Roubaix four times, the marathon Milano-Sanremo three times, and Tirreno-Adriatico, the Race of the Two Seas, six times. I know all of this thanks to CyclingRanking.com, a well-researched and well-documented site that attempts to list, in order, the greatest professional men’s cyclists of all time. The site is a labor of love by a Dutch family that started out as a kitchen-table exercise in the 1970s, and it will humble even the most studious cycling fans.
