FC Shakhtar Annual Report Season 2009|10
www.shakhtar.com FC Shakhtar Annual Report season 2009|10 The season 2009/2010 turned out to be interesting and eventful. I think the fans will remember it for many years to come. WE HAVE CONSTRUCTED DONBASS ARENA – THE STADIUM IS OF A HIGH EUROPEAN STANDARD. IT MEETS THE AIMS AND AMBITIONS OF OUR CLUB. Donbass Arena was constructed for Shakhtar to play there and for the spectators to eagerly come and support their team. I think we managed to achieve this. Before the opening of Donbass Arena I had supposed that 30–35 thousand spectators were a real number for an ordinary game of the Ukrainian Championship. The first year of the stadium’s operation proved it. Shakhtar won the gold medals of 2009/2010 Ukrainian Championship. It is the fifth champion’s title of our team. This time Shakhtar starts the most prestigious European club tournament from the group stage. The Club’s management and fans are looking forward to the successful performance of our team. I’d also like to say that we are very grateful to the head coach, Mircea Lucescu, for the team he’s created. Over the last 6 years, we’ve won 4 championship titles, the UEFA Cup, and we are showing spectacular football of high European standard. Today we all believe in our team and this means for We BELIEVE in our team us a lot more than just words. with our whole HEARTS We believe in our team with our whole hearts and know, whoever our team plays against, we may expect victory. -

Policy Brief for Culture & Creativity EU-Eastern Partnership Programme
DESIGN CODES as an INSTRUMENT of CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION in URBAN AREAS A policy brief for Culture & Creativity EU-Eastern Partnership Programme №16 12 / 08 / 2017 Yaroslav Belinsky Olga Birzul Lusya Zorya Visual pollution create harmful changes in the urban spaces shutterstock.com Design Codes as an instrument of cultural transformation in urban areas 1 / Summary A Design Code is a comprehensive approach to visual solutions and ar- rangement and formation of the aesthetics of a city’s appearance, which also addresses the problem of accessibility and ease of use of the city and its infrastructure. The application of design codes is becoming a widespread practice in cities around the world, but in Ukraine this practice is still underde- veloped at all levels of implementation and use. This brief aims to offer rec- ommendations on the introduction, implementation and use of design codes in Ukrainian cities. 2 / Introduction A design code consists of clear rules (municipal guidelines) that form a com- fortable and visually pleasant environment on the streets. A city’s design code organises the following elements of urban space: Public space (squares, pavements, public transport stops, parking spaces); Navigation (elements of street, road/transport and cycling infrastructure); Street planning (outdoor advertising, information signs and street lighting); Temporary structures (summer cafés, toilets, kiosks); Small architectural forms (fountains, street furniture, art objects); Landscaping elements (landscape design). The visual organisation and aesthetics of the cityscape come in tandem with the challenge of accessibility and convenience of use of the city and its in- frastructure. Moreover, the design code must be a comprehensive approach to creating a comfortable space for life, taking into account the principle of inclusion in cities and towns in accordance with their cultural, historical and geographical characteristics. -
Gezmek Bir Zamanlar Insan Ve Evren Arasında Var Olan Uyumu Tekrar Kurar.’’ Anatole France
Toplamda 860.000 kişilik nüfusunun %88'i Ukraynalı, %8'i Rus, %1'i de Polonyalı. -
Lviv Unesco City of Literature Annual Report Lviv Market Square Є1
LVIV UNESCO CITY OF LITERATURE ANNUAL REPORT LVIV MARKET SQUARE Є1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY “Lviv’s cultural community is responsible, creative, and welcoming. We see Lviv as a city of cultural traditions that nurture creative freedom; a heritage city whose legacy is constantly reinterpreted, developed, and passed on to future generations. Lviv offers a friendly environment for creativity, cultural innovation, and life overall.” Lviv Culture Strategy 2025 4 n 2015, at its second attempt Lviv was granted the UNESCO City of Literature status. The process of applying for this title Iconsolidated the local literary community, as it took two years—the same two years when the city’s comprehensive cultural strategy was being drafted. The application was initiated by the Lviv City Council, the Institute of the City, and NGO “Publishers Forum” in collaboration with the Lviv-based cultural activists. Despite the complicated socio- political situation in the country, this kind of a collaborative approach toward the process of application yielded new initiatives in the sphere of literature, which were only strengthened by the UNESCO City of Literature title. ight after the designation, the Lviv City Council and the initiative group started to plan an institutional framework Rto further support the title. They also adopted the municipal program “Lviv, City of Literature 2016-2020” that outlined strategic directions of the development of the local literary community—these directions had been highlighted in the application. The key fact was that the Lviv City Council approved the co-financing of this program in the amount of 2,700,000 UAH / 103,850 EUR which was the biggest budget for an urban literary program in Ukraine at the time.
