►Structure: -1. Top - the top of the cell includes cell hangers, input and output of the anolyte and electrical connection. -2. Body - the material of the body-frame is PVC-U. -3. Frame - it serves as mechanical support of the membrane, material is PVC-U -4. The ion-exchange membrane RALEX ® in flat sheet is stretched between the anode and the frame and fixed around by appropriated o´ring sealing and the screws -5. Anode - the flat anode is positioned inside the EFC cell. The standard material is stainless steel AISI 316Ti.
►Advantages of the flat cells: -Long working life of the cell (approx. 10-12 years) -Recommended exchange time of membrane is 2-4 years -Large active surface -Shorter distance between product and area of anode (efficient painting process) -A less amount of cells in the ED bath (less piping system) -A lower need of store capacity (lower amount of spare parts)

o 31 F Common problems with extruded
Due to the very long extension of the extruded Membrane, hit the ground and moved into center of the ECOAT Tank.
32 Common problems with extruded
Membrane not really stable and can deform easily. Even low Backpressure can damage the Membrane! Holes will be the result!

Due to deformed Membrane the Anolyte flow is reduced and the corrosion starts much faster
34 Common problems with extruded
The very long extension of the membrane will bring the end of the Electrode in a unprotected area. This means that the Electrode at the bottom is not anymore protected and the corrosion start dramatically. The area in the middle and the head is still ok because corrosion start from the bottom.
