Day 2 - Saturday 23 July 2016 (B) Singapore Sightseeing Tour/ Singapore Botanic Gardens/National Orchid Garden Enjoy a delicious breakfast this morning before heading out to explore Singapore on a half day city sights tour. On the tour visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens and National Orchid Garden. The Botanic Garden is a 156-year-old tropical garden located at the fringe of the Singapore’s main shopping belt. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The National Orchid Garden is located on the highest hill in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Providing a place for 60,000 orchid plants - consisting of 1000 species and more than 2,000 hybrids - is the three hectares of carefully landscaped slopes. Day 3 - Sunday 24 July 2016 (B) Singapore Garden Festival After breakfast depart for the Singapore Garden Festival. This festival showcases exciting garden designs and exquisite floral creations. With, over 50 displays and more than 250,000 plants featuring more than 1,000 different species on display, there is something to excite every visitor. Launched in 2006, the fifth instalment of the Festival in 2014, featured over 50 designers from 15 countries under one roof showcasing their masterpieces at the Singapore’s leading horticulture-themed destination, Gardens by the Bay. This was the first time the Festival went outdoors and visitors were treated to the best of tropical horticulture and artistry with impressive structures of up to 10 meters high. There were 15 Landscape and Fantasy Gardens, 14 Floral Windows to the World displays, eight Balcony Gardens, seven Table Top Floral displays, six miniature gardens and the Orchid Extravaganza featuring some 18,000 plants and more than 40 orchid species and hybrids. Day 4 - Monday 25 July 2016 (B) Garden’s by the Bay Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning followed by a full day to visit Gardens by the Bay. One of Singapore’s premium tourist attractions this man-made garden is not to be missed when visiting Singapore. Garden’s by the Bay spans 101 hectares and consists of three waterfront gardens - Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden, and Bay Central Garden. Garden’s by the Bay is made up of the following feature gardens: Day 5 - Tuesday 26 July 2016 (B) Jurong Bird Park/ Night Safari Tour Breakfast is at the hotel this morning before departing to visit Jurong Bird Park. This park has been charming visitors the world over since taking flight in 1971. Jurong Bird Park is one of the most renowned bird sanctuaries with some of the largest free- flying aviaries in the world. In habitats that mirror their naturalistic environments, Jurong Bird Park is home to the colours of the world, as Asia’s largest bird park with a collection of more than 5,000 birds across 400 species. The park and its line-up of award-winning exhibits are located at the west-end of Singapore, and offers 20.2 hectares of exploratory landscape which gives visitors the opportunity to meet and interact with the feathered residents. Enjoy some time this afternoon at leisure before heading out tonight to visit the animals on the Night Safari Tour. Experience all the drama and enchantment of the tropical jungle at night at this multi-award-winning attraction located at Singapore Zoo. Travel in an open tram through varied terrain that’s home to more than 1,000 animals, ranging from fierce predators to timid forest dwellers. Under subtle moon glow lighting, which enables you to see the animals but doesn’t distract them, you can watch Cape buffalo, African bongo, blue sheep, striped hyena, golden jackal, the rare great one-horned rhinoceros and other creatures playing, prowling or feeding in the Night Safari’s lush grounds. Take a guided night-time trail walk to see the animal’s close-up.
