Grand & Glorious Singapore Grand & Glorious Singapore Day 01) Arrival in Singapore.Night safari. Today arrival at Singapore Changi International airport. Meet and greet VIHAR HOLIDAYS representative. You will be transferred to pre booked Singapore hotel. Standard check in time is 1400 Hrs. Singapore is the finest country among South East Asia. Today you will be taken for Night Safari (Overnight stay) The Night Safari is the world's first nocturnal zoo and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore. Get a chance to come up-close with lions, tigers, tapirs, deer and more! It is divided into eight geographical zones, which can be explored either on foot via three walking trails, or by tram. The animals of the Night Safari, ranging from Indian rhinoceros to tarsiers, are made visible by lighting that resembles moonlight. Although it is brighter than full moonlight by a few orders of magnitude, it is dim enough not to disturb nocturnal and crepuscular animals' behaviour. London based lighting designer Simon Corder created the lighting for Night Safari. Exhibits in the safari come from South America and parts of Asia. Day 02) Singapore City tour &Sentosa tour. Today the Singapore city tour will cover Orchard Road, Suntec City and the Fountain of Wealth. Stop at the Merlion Park. Followed by an orientation tour of the Fullerton Hotel & Esplanade. Pass by Marina Bay Sands and the Helix Bridge, Little India area and China Town. Key attractions include the Bird Discovery Centre, African Waterfall Aviary, Lory Loft Aviary, Southeast Asian Birds Aviary and Penguin Coast and the latest New Attraction: Wings of Asia. Experience Africa at the African Wetlands which features several unique bird species. Take a ride on the Panorail for a panoramic view of the Park and into a tropical world of jungle mists at the Waterfall Aviary. Enjoy the spectacular Penguin Exhibit and Birds and Buddies Show at the Pool Amphitheatre.     WILDLIFE RESERVES SINGAPORE YEAR BOOK • 2009 / 2010 YEAR IN REVIEW The reporting year was one of carefully considered expansion. While the many new exhibits, attractions and inaugural events which characterised the previous year settled into their second year of operations, WRS focused on laying the groundwork this reporting year for exciting things to come in the future. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR • Wildlife Reserves Singapore Conservation Fund (WRSCF) was launched on 10 July 2009. The Fund is an independent conservation fund dedicated primarily to native wildlife conservation and education. • WRS and WRSCF signed a memorandum of understanding to formalise collaboration with the world-renowned conservation establishment, Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), New York, on field conservation and public education to protect biodiversity. • WRS announced that it will receive a pair of giant pandas from China Wildlife Conservation Association (CWCA) as part of the collaboration to promote giant panda conservation, raise public awareness of China wildlife conservation and to implement giant panda breeding programme. The giant pandas will be housed in River Safari. • Construction of River Safari, the fourth attraction of WRS and Asia’s first freshwater- themed wildlife attraction got underway. • Night Safari won the Best Visitor Attraction Award, adding to a total of 19 for WRS, out of 21 awards given out by STB for the best in the leisure attraction category. • A tour agency named ‘Wildlife Travel & Tours’ was set up in September 09 to provide one-stop leisure attraction offerings to tourists. • Hollywood Dinos, a travelling exhibition that employs animatronics to showcase life-size dinosaurs, was held at Jurong Bird Park from 12 December 2009 to 18 February 2010.
