There are so many wonderful places to have a wedding to look. So here’s our list of top picks, with some extra suggestions on the side. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony you’re looking for or a lavish celebration, we have something to suit every couple! It’s a shame we couldn’t include some of the National Heritage Board’s museums, as they are no longer available for public hire, but we have some fantastic suggestions here to make up for it. 1. Way up high on the 55 level of ION shopping mall is helmed by celebrity chef Luke Mangan. In the main dining area, which has floor to ceiling windows, guests can enjoy views of southern Singapore while being served contemporary Australian cuisine.

Capacity: Sit down capacity of 100 guests and standing capacity for 200 guests. Cost: Exclusive booking of the restaurant from $10 000 for lunch and $25 000 for dinner.

For couples who love nature

2. Burkill Hall is situated in the lush surrounds of Singapore Botanic Gardens. Overlooking the and set in a restored colonial bungalow, Burkill Hall is the perfect spot if you’re looking to tie the knot away from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Capacity: 180 guests. Cost: $561.75 per hour with a minimum of a 4 hour booking or $6291.60 for a full day.

Other venue suggestions include Halia and Food for Thought, which are located in the beautiful Singapore Botanic Gardens.

For couples with over 300 guests

Flower Field Hall at

3. An indoor venue with a difference, the Flower Field Hall Bay. Your guests can dine in comfort while being enchanted by the Flower Field display, which reflects different seasons, festivals and themes at different times of year. On the other side of the hall, your guests will enjoy a spectacular view of the Marina Bay skyline.

Capacity: Up to 700 guests for a sit down dinner.

The Four Seasons on Orchard Boulevard

4. Known for its impeccable service, the Four Seasons and provides couples with a quieter and more intimate ambience than other hotels on the Orchard strip. The Four Seasons Ballroom is an elegant venue and the larger of the hotel’s two ballrooms. Also of note are their pre-dinner cocktail options, which allow you to select either the Peking duck station, martini ice bar or strawberries on ice.

Capacity: 320 guests in the Four Seasons Ballroom.

For couples with under 20 guests

5. The floating pods at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore are a set of recently launched event spaces built on the waters of Marina Bay. The pods are suitable for solemnisation ceremonies for 20 to 40 persons per pod. Each pod comes with a balcony and open-air rooftop, complete with idyllic views of Marina Bay and Singapore’s skyline.

6. Naumi Hotel is located in the heart of the CBD just opposite Raffles Hotel. This boutique hotel has a rooftop infinity pool which creates a great backdrop for an intimate solemnisation that can be followed by a reception at the Bar and Lounge. Naumi is undergoing a facelift but will reopen in August 2013.

Tamarind Hill,

7. Tamarind Hill sits in a beautiful stand-alone colonial bungalow surrounded by the lush greenery of Labrador Nature Reserve. Tamarind Hill specialises in Thai cuisine, providing a unique culinary option for weddings. It has over 12,000 square feet of space and couples may hold their celebrations indoors, outdoors or a combination of both. Its high ceilings and beautiful colonial-style long bar get the thumbs up from us!

Capacity: 200 guests (indoor and outdoor). Cost: From $12 000 for lunch and $23 000 for dinner.

8. CHIJMES, originally the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ), was a girls’ school established in 1854. The school’s chapel was built in 1904 and boasts vaulted high ceilings and stained glass windows. CHIJMES is a stunning venue for couples with the added benefit of accessibility, being located in the heart of the city.

Capacity: 100 – 300 guests. Cost: From S$988-S$1,178++/table (Weekday) S$1,088-S$1,488++/table (Weekend).

Other glam venue options are W Singapore – Cove Boathouse.

For couples who want to get married in flip flops

TanjongTanjong Beach Beach Club, Club, Sentosa Sentosa

9. Tanjong Beach Club is a sophisticated venue on one of Sentosa’s loveliest stretches of sand, and has a great laidback vibe. This venue has a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces including its restaurant, bar, cabana, terrace and pool areas. Each space can be made exclusive for your wedding both on weekdays and weekends but booking the entire 30,000 square foot venue is restricted to weekdays only.

Garden party meets ocean view

10. As the only beachfront resort in Singapore, the delightful opportunity to have a wedding facing the South China Sea. Say your vows in a beautiful sunset solemnisation and cool off afterwards in one of the Resort’s ballrooms at your dinner reception.

For couples who hate planning

OneOne Rochester, Rochester Rochester Park Park

11. One Rochester offers couples the choice between holding their wedding in a lush garden setting or in a historical 1930s colonial bungalow at Rochester Park, for an intimate house party feel. They have a dedicated team of wedding and event planners who will work with couples to help orchestrate their special day from conceptualisation all the way through to the packing-up after the event.

12. If you’re a couple with steady sea legs, consider chartering a yacht and setting sail for your solemnisation or wedding. 16. Hort Park has an indoor, air-conditioned multi-purpose hall that couples can book from National Parks. The hall opens out into the very pretty HortLawn, which you can also book at an extra cost. Couples are free to hire their own caterers and other vendors for their reception, allowing them to work comfortably within their budget.

Capacity for multi-purpose hall: 200 guests. Cost: From $725 for a 4 hour booking (Tuesdays – Thursdays), from $900 for a 4 hour booking (Fridays- Sundays).

A lovely alternative park venue to consider is Fort Canning Park

17. Situated 106 metres above sea level, The Jewel Box at sweeps you away from urban Singapore and provides guests with hilltop views of the harbour, Sentosa Island and Singapore’s cityscape. The Jewel Box provides pocket-friendly options for couples, with weekday lunchtime or high tea receptions at one of The Jewel Box’s indoor or outdoor venues for $68.00 ++ per person.

18. Wow your guests with the iconic architecture of (MBS) and Singapore’s stunning city skyline with a solemnisation and standing cocktail event 57 stories above the ground at the SkyPark. There is a choice of 3 event areas at the Sands SkyPark, including the Observation Deck for an eye-popping $65,000 and the more modest North and South Gardens at $20,000 each.

Capacity: 500 persons at Observation Deck, 250 persons at North Garden and 200 persons at South Garden for standing cocktails only. Cost: Space rental charges quoted above and $200.00 ++ per person for cocktail reception with a minimum of 50 persons.
